This classic victorian style piano stool is very pretty. And would make a great restoration project. The bottom frame is composed of cast iron. It is beautifully engraved and features three gorgeous twisted legs that add volumes to the overall style. The seat portion appears to be made of pine. It looks as if it was just the base that a padded cushion or covering was glued to. You can see some of the left over residue from this in the pictures. The cast iron portion is in great shape, with no dents, dings or bends whatsoever. The part that adjust spins up and down quite smoothly. There is light surface rust in a few places that should be very easy to remove. It is around 18" tall, and the legs are 18" apart at there widest points. This is a very nice piece! PLEASE TAKE TIME TO REVIEW THE ADD AND ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING!

Please excuse flash on photos. See all specifics below. SPECIFICATIONS: Maker/Item/Pattern# Unknown Information: This is a vintage victorian organ or piano stool with a needlepoint seat design. It is a nice looking functioning stool. There are no makers marks. It has ornate gold or brass colored feet. Three of them. It is 19" tall from floor to the top of the seat. It does not have a raising mechanism that I could locate. There is some slight wiggle to the seat but overall it is pretty in tact overall. Please see pictures. Others I could find while researching this seemed to be from the late 1800's. Size: 19" tall from top to bottom and 12" wide from foot to foot-approximate measurements Quantity: 1 Condition: GOOD- This vintage victorian organ stool has a neat vintage look to it with the black seat cover and it's needlepoint ... moredesign. There is a slight"wiggle" to the seat but it may just need a quick tightening I have not attempted to tighten it. And the play in the seat is slight however noticeable. Antique Vintage TONK Mfg Piano Organ Stool Bench Seat Adjustable 1800s Victorian
Up for auction is this ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE SOLID OAK PIANO ADJUSTABLE STOOL! It is in very good condition for its age. It is from the 1800's after all. It is adjustable height. It has the unpolished brass claw feet. The glass balls have NO cracks and r in very good condition with bubbles. On the bottom of the glass feet are pads so they didn't get scratched or cracked. I will leave it up to the buyer to keep them on or remove them. On the underside it says TONK NEW YORK CHICAGO. There is what looks like a scratch on the main middle leg but is the way it came from the factory which is a flaw in the wood. Please look at the photos I've showed it in one of the pictures. There is a small chip off the bracket on the underside of the seat which I've showed in the photo. IT STANDS 20" tall at the lowest setting. and ... more14.5" across the seat. This Victorian gout stool has been in the family for eons. I invited an artist friend of mine to redo it as a Black Cat. She painted the stool black and imaged the cat on both sides. She recovered the stool with black microfiber faux fur. We have loved looking at it for years but. I am downsizing and it needs a new home. Antique 19thC C.W. Chadwick Carved Walnut Victorian Piano Stool Velvet Bench
This is a beautiful piano stool circa 1889. It is in very good condition with what looks like original sawdust stuffed cushion. The red velvet has faded however. The wooden base is carved from what I believe is walnut. There is a cast iron stool spider supporting the top marked C.W. Chadwick North Acton Massachusetts. There are nails around the bottom from perhaps a time when it was recovered but the original cushion was not replaced. There is pencil on the bottom which indicates 89 so perhaps it is dated 1889. It appears to be from that time period. Measures 17"w x 12"d x 19"h. Thank you!

There is surface scrapes& wear down to the bare wood in places. Particularly on the seat.the center stem& legs/ spindaes show a beautiful column& circle design. The metal eagle claws show nice line detailing. Clear glass ball feet show minor chips but in very good condition& the bottom of the glass feet have a flat edge. The support posts are in very good condition but there seems to be a finial missing on the center post bottom. The seat had a cover on it at one time. Would look great with a needlepoint! Victorian storage box or small ottoman which is also a useful pouffe. Stool or foot rest. Useful for general storage or as a sewing box or knitting box. It has a nice antique looking shape to it and is covered in the original dark gold velvet and embossed brown rexine(leatherette) on the top. This is a tough material and the flower embossing adds a decorative touch, as does the drop metal handle. The interior is also all original with a blue silky material that contrasts nicely with the exterior. It sits on little wooden feet but these appear to be replacements. It is in very good condition with only small bit of wear here and there and a bit of fading to the velvet. The interior is very clean. This large and ornate cast iron rarity dates from the late 1860s-early 1880s and measures 11” tall x 14” x 14” The open work cast iron top features elaborate Eastlake inspired designs and is supported by 4 tall feet. The pair in front are massive cabrioles with elaborate foliate knees and lions’ paw feet. The rear duo are simpler with Eastlake designs and understated claw feet. The entirety is barn fresh with old. Un-enhanced rusted surface showing pitting from years on the hearth. There is a large old stable crack on the top near the rear as shown in the close-ups. 19" tall fully down. 24" fully up before it starts to wobble too much, 6" of thread on the shaft. Signed Patd Nov 22 1881 Seat is 14" x 14" but actually about 14 1/2" square counting the fancy decorations. Seat covering looks original with some wear-no tears-and feels like the old material made of horsehair and camel hair that they used in the old lap robe/blankets. A few moth chew marks that don't go through. I think the wood is mahogany but is tough to tell with the old dark finish on it. Sound and solid with no chips,cracks or repairs. Leg spread is 14" toe to toe. Some wear to the embroidered decorative strip around the seat but not too bad. Up for sale is an original Lyons& Healy Piano Stool from the 1800's. Has 4 glass ball metal claw feet. Lyons& Healy Chicago is on a metal piece underneath the seat. The seat has 3 two inch cracks around edges. Which is to be expected for a piece of this age. Can be restored or kept the way it is. Measures 18 1/2" tall, 14 1/2" diameter seat. Lyons& Healy originally made piano music in 1864. But then there were 4 fires, on of them the"Great Chicago Fire in 1871" which destroyed their records. They started making pianos and organs in 1876 so I am assuming that this could have been made then, since it does look like it is from the 1800's They then turned mainly to musical instruments, particularly harps. This is an ornate antique Victorian adjustable piano/ organ/ harp stool. The stool is in great condition and appears to retain its original mahogany finish. It is made of solid wood that is stained mahogany. It has metal claw and clear glass ball feet. The glass balls are not cracked and the legs and base are ornately turned. The seat is covered with padding and red velvet. The cloth is not ripped or torn. But has some light stains. There is some light wear and scratches from use on the wood, and the legs are a little loose, but could easily be re-glued. There is a white cloth wrapped around the adjustment screw in the seat to keep it from squeaking as much when it turns. The round piece of wood under the seat has been re-glued as seen in the photos.
