In fair vintage condition. Could be redone. Someone did put some new fabric on it awhile ago. Hard to tell what kind of wood it's made out of. Looks like Mahogany or Walnut. It's been in my Grandmothers attic for a very long time. I can only ship this to the lower 48 states of the USA.

RARE Antique VICTORIAN Era GOUT Footstool Foot Stool Rest 1800's Vintage Wooden
WOODENDECOR10 Presents A Victorian Era GOUT Footstool This item ships FREE FedEx Ground in the Continental U.S. This is an authentic Victorian Era GOUT footstool from the mid 1800's to the beginning of the 1900's. Its rare design was purposed for gentlemen with means as a way to relieve the pain of gout by lifting the foot at the ankle while not touching the foot. It is made of solid wood(I believe it to be walnut) With two handles on either end for easy positioning so as not to touch the foot, four carved wooden legs, and a straw padded tapestry or rug covered body. Here, this rust toned rug is edged with ornate trim and round tacks. I can not say whether it is the original rug or not though it certainly coincides with the time period. There is relatively minor wear on this piece for its age with some varnish wear, what looks like ... morelathe holes in the ends of the handles, some wear on the bottoms of the legs, and a superficial crack in the base that is not deep nor does it compromise the structure or stability of the footstool. Its as sturdy as ready to use today as it was over a hundred years ago. The rug is still in good shape, all tacks are present, and trim is in great condition. The footstool is a great historical piece for the collector with an interesting medical background. Similar pieces have sold for up to $250.00 in the past few months. ANTIQUE HANDMADE VICTORIAN FOOTSTOOL BENCH SHOE SHINE BOX INSIDE WITH CONTENTS
This is a very unusual antique FOOTSTOOL with a SHOE SHINE BOX INSIDE. The box is also filled with several tools and a can of vintage DAZZLE TAN SHOW POLISH with some shoe polish still in it. There is also a wonderful shoe form that is affixed into the inside of the box with 2 screws. I believe it has the letters C& M on it! There are four shoe brushes. One is marked PARKS& PARKS ROYAL TROY. N. Y. and the other three are not marked. This footstool/shoeshine bx combination appears to have been hand made. The wood is either mahogany or walnut. But I am not certain. There is a very old piece of carpet type material on the top with brass tacks around the edge. One of which is missing. It measures 11" X 14" and is 14" tall. There is some cracks and splinters in the wood. see close-ups) but it is very much structurally strong.

This is a vintage Bench Stool. Ottoman, with WOOD CURVED legs. Vintage style fabric with pretty green design is framed with a matching colored tassel to complete this ottoman and is in very good condition with tiny minor spots hardly noticeable. I think this type of fabric was popular in the 50's and 60's. It is VERY sturdy, heavy and is large enough to use as a bench for extra seating or rest your legs on. Very good condition.wood legs show minor wear from age and use, hardly worth mentioning. Any refinish is always left up to the new owner. Gorgeous Antique Victorian Solid Heavy Chunky Brass Stool Footstool Stand LOOK!!
Absolutely gorgeous Victorian heavy solid and chunky brass stool or stand. This gorgeous piece of furniture is as intricate and beautiful as it is unique. It is solid chunky and very heavy and is made from a really solid and thick brass(see picture 6) it is really built to last(no cheap thin brass here)and there is no reason it wont last at least another hundred years! It is in very good strong condition albeit with some age related marks and stains and although it would be easy to clean up I have left it exactly as it is due to the fact I feel this adds charcter and gives a real sense of age. It also has a beautiful and highly unique and very intricate design and wherever this is placed it will become a focal and talking point. FAB Diminutive Antique Empire Rolled End Footstool - Mid-19th C Early Victorian
Fine Items from ALittleUnlimited Description A rare and elegant antique foot stool in the Empire style dating to the middle of the 19th century. C. 1850. It features stout turned legs with a matching apron and an upholstered top with rolled ends, each of the ends with a beautifully stamped brass rosette. The fabric could be the original covering- it shows wear from use especially along the edge where it is worn through exposing tacks beneath it- please view the photographs. The top of the stool measures 12" by 8" overall and it is 6 1/2" tall to the top of the rolled end. The flat surface is 7 3/4" by 7 1/2" and 6" above the floor. It is a lovely size and quite versatile- small enough that it could have been a child's stool(it would be a beautiful way to display an antique doll! yet stately enough to hold ... moreits own next to an adult size chair. It is in good condition for its age showing normal signs of wear- I have not cleaned or polished the wood. Beautiful. Victorian era, small, round lady's antique cast iron and wood footstool. The three cast iron legs and the edge of the solid wood base have been painted an egg-shell white/cream. Paint has chipped off in spots, adding to the character and age of the piece. The top is a beautiful needlepoint pastoral scene of girl on a bench next to a pitcher with a cherub; background is deep red orange. It may be the original, partial original, or a replacement cover. If original or partially original, it is in stunningly mint condition. If a replacement, it looks very authentic to the piece. There are nine decorative"balls" nailed into the bottom of the stool, three between each set of legs. One of them is missing on one side. The footstool measures 10" in diameter and 7" high. Description Small- Victoiran Antique Empire Round Footstool With Pedestal Base This unusual footstool was recently purchased at a local Maine auction. The round footstool measures approximately 10 1/2" tall. With a circumference of 10 1/2" It has a pedestal base. With four feet. It was well made and is still sturdy. It appears there was a repair(the two pieces of wood screwed to the base) to the bottom of the foot cushion, which can be seen in the photos. The repair has some age to it and may have been completed when it was last upholstered. Speaking of the upholstery. It needs to be replaced. What was once, I'm sure, lovely, is now ugly. Rare Antique Victorian Carved & Upholstered Footstool with Concealed Warming Pan
Here on offer is a wonderful rare antique Victorian carved and upholstered footstool with a concealed warming pan. This delightful little stool features beautifully carved details around the walls and rests on four lovely turned feet. The stool has suffered from woodworm. But this has been treated and cured. The stool ha an upholstered top that has been secured with brass pins. The footstool has a lid with a simple brass catch and handle. Once opened the footstool reveals a concealed warming pan. The brass pan is original to the stool. It has a ribbed upper surface with a handle and stopper on one side. The pan contains something heavy and would be warmed by the addition of hot water. The stopper is very stiff, I have not forced it open. The footstool is offered in good antique condition. Thank you for browsing Vintage Apt.you never know what the Gypsy Lady will bring! Lovely antique footstool. Victorian or Edwardian era. Gorgeous ornate gilded iron base. The wood on the bottom looks to be the original wood. Possibly walnut, and it shows quite a bit of age. I could be wrong but I think the previous owner put this green fabric over the old upholstery, which was no doubt beat to death.this green fabric was secured underneath with brass or metal head pins and a few nails for good measure.it got the job done, but not expertly at all. When you feel the top by pushing it, it feels very firm as though the previous material, maybe even horse hair, is still under there.that would be nice but you understand I can't be positive. At any rate, the stool can be used right now and maybe later you'll want to see what's underneath ... moreand make it a project yourself to change the fabric. Measurements: This measures 14" long. 11" deep, and 8 1/2" high. It weighs 12 lb, 11.5 oz before boxing for shipping. Condition(on a scale of poor. Fair, good, very good, excellent) Good condition. The iron base is in very good condition and retains much of the gilding. I've described the top for you already.the fabric is not ripped but does show wear. Antique Vintage Victorian Eastlake Oak Stick Ball Footstool Sewing Slipper Bench
This item is in excellent condition with no missing or broken parts. It is very unique in design. It can be used as a bench/footstool and the top lifts up to expose a storage compartment underneath. This compartment can be used to hold sewing items. Magazines, books, slippers or anything else that you would like to store. I believe that it was originally used as a slipper bench, which was common in this era. The material on the top and bottom match and are in excellent condition with no stains or tears and no smells, but is not original to the piece. The piece itself is also in great condition. It is made from solid oak and retains all the original stick& balls. All the joints are tight and it measures 14" high, 19 1/2" wide by 10 1/2" deep. A Victorian style footstool that has seen some better days. It is being offered as is and as found. My guess is that it is made of walnut with a velvet-like material cover and dates from the last quarter of the 19th century. These are just my guesses and I do not guarantee it. It appears to have the original finish. But it is damaged in a couple of spots. One of the slats has come out of the hole(but could easily be glued back in) It looks like it may be missing a little wood, but still fits into the slot. The main issue is one of the legs at the very narrow"base of the urn" is broken. You have to laugh at an attempt to secure it. Great form of an empire victorian footstools. Circa 1840-50.American made.solif mahogany. as pics show this small sized footstool packs alot of style. the wood itself shows an interesting flamed or ribbon style mahogany grain. This is more normally found in veneers,but this stool is made of selected grade solid flamed wood. It has a typical exxagerated"OG" serpentine molding that has a wonderful serpentine flow. This molding is offset from the seat and the bottom foot structure by heavily fluted moldings. The bottom foot portion is well carved and scalloped on the lower skirt section. The seat is a slip seat,and has an older useable velvet seat which could be easily reupholstered if so desired.This wonderful stool measures 12" x12" at base and is 8 1/2" high. This piece is an estate piece which had begun the reupholstering process when the woman passed.therefore it will need new upholstery. Rare untouched original cast iron and wood footstool appears to be in original condition. Has one wood cornice missing also a tear in what looks to be the original upholstery exposing original straw, came from the low country of South Carolina. Could leave as is or restore. BEAUTIFUL VICTORIAN CARVED MAHOGANY& HAND CRAFTED TAPESTRY TOP ROUND FOOTSTOOL BEAUTIFUL MAHOGANY AND TAPESTRY TOPPED FOOTSTOOL This delightful piece of furniture dates from the mid to late Victorian period. The footstool measures 30.4cm in diameter and stands approximately 17cm high. The base of carved mahogany is strong and sturdy. To the graduated frame of the footstool top there is an area approximately 6cm in length where the wood has been shaved away. This is nor immediately noticeable and judging by the colour happened many years ago. A few bumps, bruises and tiny nicks on the edge of the wood commensurate with age and use which add to the lovely patina of the mahogany. The footstool stands on four carved legs and has a carved border best appreciated through the many photographs. The hand stitched tapestry has a few minor areas ... moreof wear again this is not immediately noticeable. A lovely example sure to grace any home.
