Antique Victorian 1800s Ladies/Sewing/Nursing Rocking Chair & Matching Footstool
For your consideration. Is a beautiful antique Victorian(I don’t think it is a reproduction, but if it is, it’s still old) circa 1800’s, ladies rocker used for sewing, nursing or just sitting. And, it has a matching rocker footstool. Very rare to find the two pieces. The lovely armless chair has a stunning curved wood frame with carved wood on either side of the back and also in front below the seat on both sides. Not exactly sure what kind of wood it is made from. The seat is shaped similar to a heart that is squared off at the bottom and the chair is extremely comfortable to sit in. The back is a long oval shape and has three vertical tufted buttons. The velvety velour fabric is yellow/gold in color and half inch, decorative and angled nail heads are used to adhere the fabric to the frame. The nail heads are placed one against the other ... moreall around the back and seat. I’m not sure if the fabric is original, but it is well upholstered. There is a tag stapled to the bottom of the chair—see pix—that says Consolidated Manufacturers, Memphis 1, TN. The rocking footstool is adorable and matches the chair in fabric and nail heads. Considering the age. Both pieces are in excellent condition. There are no breaks or fractures in the wood frame or carvings. There is some wear on the corners of the wood consistent with age and use that could be touched up, but personally I think it adds to the charm. The fabric is in great condition with a few spots that could be removed with cleaning. Pieces were inherited from my Grandmother and I am not sure where/how she acquired them. ANTIQUE EASTLAKE VICTORIAN FOOTSTOOL W/ CAUCASION SHIRVAN MARSALI RUG COVER
Up for auction is a walnut Eastlake Victorian footstool covered with a Marsali flaming boteh rug fragment as upholstery. Given the degree of corrosion in the black portions of the rug the carpet cover is 100 years old or more as is the stool itself. Probably both are from the fourth quarter of the 19th century. The stool is sturdy. At some point it was reinforce with angle iron viewable only from the underside. It is not a professional upholstery job which is part of its charm. It certainly is unique. Sitting by itself. It makes a statement and you can even rest your feet on it. It measures 15 inches in height and the stool surface is 11" by 19" Shipping in the lower 48 states is $22. I have had this stool for many years and it is time to pass it on. It is reticulated and has nicely turned legs. The burl is a nice addition. It measures 17"X17"X13" in size. Obviously. Cast iron stool appears to have its original dark green paint with black and gold highlights(see photos) The design of the cast iron work appears to have some Eastlake pierced open work grill design. In addition to the ornate Victorian drape effect of oak leaves and the scrollwork feet, and the flowing/swirling Art Nouveau oak leaf and vine designs. Appears to have original pine or soft wood cover top. With is covered with the original straw– the straw covered with remnants of original jute material. Antique Victorian Vintage Steer Horn Footstool Furniture
This is an original foot stool from the Victorian time period from about 1900. It has been modified over the years as the cover is not original. I do not know what is beneath the pink cloth. The wood is old but some of the screws holding the horns on have been replaced or added. It is still sturdy and can be used. The cushion part is about 12" x 19" with the horns spreading out a little farther at the floor. Its about 12" tall. Please examine the photos for complete condition as they tell all. I can only ship via the USPS. Although this isn't very heavy the box size makes it very expensive to ship. I have no control over this. Wonderful Antique Victorian Eastlake - Chip Carved - Needlepoint Footstool
Description Victorian Eastlake footstool. With chip carving, has a needlepoint cover. The expertly stitched needlepoint features a floral bouquet on a brown background. It has a well hidden seam running down on one side. Although the needlepoint has some age to it, I suspect it's not original to the base. The footstool was well made and is strong and sturdy. It measures approximately 15.5" X 15.5" and is 13" high. The wooden base has turned legs. With incised bands. Scuffs are present on the legs, but still hold the stain/finish. The corner blocks have chip carving, with detailed carving and cut-outs on the stretchers. Since a picture is worth a thousand words. Please see my eBay store and my other listings for silver and other items. This unusual piece was purchased at an estate sale on Shelter Island, New York, and it came from a fancy 1880s Brooklyn Heights brownstone. Now it is looking for a new home. The wood(walnut? is decorated with black and gilt paint in the Eastlake style, and there are four cloven feet. The floral motif needlework top is nailed on all around, with a cushion underneath. The foot pedal raises the cover to reveal a thick ironstone spittoon dish. You don't really want to think about it, but probably the maid removed and washed out the dish from time to time. The base of the spittoon is marked with a crest with ... morefish and birds, and G.P. Co, for one of the many potteries of the day, perhaps in East Liverpool, Ohio or Trenton, NJ. There are no other marks of maker or origin. You can scroll down to see more photos. This impressive antique footstool measures 6 1/2" tall from the floor and 12" across the needlepoint top. The pedal and feet extend a few inches further. The spittoon itself is 9" across and stands 2 1/4" high. The whole piece weighs about 9 lbs without any packaging. There are loose threads. Loose nails, scratches and worn spots in the wood and paint, and surface cracks and craquelure in the spittoon. In general, it is in good antique condition, ready to restore if that is your wish. Very ornate little VICTORIAN footstool with lots of flair! All original except for red velveteen fabric that is poorly nailed to top- however. Under it is the wood fiber filling to plump the cushion. Wood platform is very good and has all 12 little wood ACORN shaped spindles on bottom- original owner must not have had any children. It looks like legs and wood base had antique gold paint on them. Measures about 6" tall x 10-1/2" in diameter. All screws appear to be original in legs and each iron leg base has a#3 stamped in the metal. It really needs a little needlepoint or period fabric to complete the stool. I ship in USA only. No international.

I have for auction an estate find. This is a Victorian Footstool. Often called a slipper stool. The legs are cast iron, with an ornate design. The legs are attached to a wooden frame that has been covered with horsehair, a batting and then the leather piece. From the underside their are 8 wooden balls that have been attached with nails. The leather has been tacked and nailed on the side of the board and then the legs were screwed to the top. The approximate dimensions are 11 1/2" long& 8 3/4" wide. The legs are almost 5" tall and with the cushion on the stool 6" high. I did not see any breaks or repairs in the cast iron. There is a stamp on backside of stool, looks as though it reads Peoples Furniture? There is some other writing, but I can't make it out? It has Wood trim, some wear bumps and nicks& wood beading that hangs around edge. The needlepoint is trimmed with decorative upholstery tacks with elaborate Queen Anne legs. Hello. This listing is for a lovely Victorian footstool with tapestry fabric and three little bun feet. The upholstered part is removable via a screw thread to the underneath. The stool is wooden, the outer rim is painted but the finish has deteriorated, and there are a couple of small areas of veneer loss, below this is a decorative brass banding. The brown or sable-colored fabric on top is a good quality sueded fabric– very soft and in good vintage condition(it has some minor character due to age) and the screws on the bottom are rusty flathead screws- see pictures for detail. The back is a black fabric-covered panel and is secured by nails. The fabric is not original. But installed by someone very skilled at upholstery. This footstool would be great with cabin decor or in a den, library, or man cave. Charming Antique Cast Iron Victorian Footstool Foot Stool Mohair ? Covered Top
Up for bid is a charming and authentic(not a reproduction) ornate Victorian cast iron footstool. I believe the gold fabric on top is a mohair variation or some sort of crushed velvet– very soft and in good vintage condition(it has character due to age) and the screws on the bottom are rusty flathead screws- see pictures for detail. The back is a wood panel and it is studded with wood knobs(a few have some chew marks by a suspected small creature…mouse) This footstool would be great with cabin decor. One leg lost a corner portion of the metal that attaches it to the wood and is secured to the base with an old screw& nail(a bit loose but is securely on there) this does not detract from the beauty of this little gem. Antique Ornate Cast Iron Victorian Footstool Foot Stool w Chenille Fabric Top
Up for bid is a rare and authentic(not a reproduction) ornate Victorian cast iron footstool. The fabric on top is a vintage chenille and the screws on the bottom are rusty flathead screws- see pictures for detail. I actually have a reproduction one of these and now I understand why they made so many copies of it. It really has beautiful detailing on the iron and it weighs a ton. The black fabric on the bottom is tacked on with small nails that also have some rust on them. The fabric is in lovely vintage condition(no rips or tears) and this footstool goes well with white wicker if you have some wicker pieces. Since this is a Victorian item. I'm pretty sure the fabric is not original to the piece, but it is definitely old fabric and was put on by someone who knew what they were doing.
