This is a Lovely Antique Oval Victorian Floral Needlepoint Footstool Ca.Early 1900's. It is solid carved mahogany with Queen Anne legs. It measures 9 1/2 inches tall by 17 1/4 inches long and is 12 1/2 inches wide. The original black floral needlepoint is in good condition for as old as this piece is. It does have some slight fading and a few small holes in the needle point but not all the way through the backing. There is a dip in the center of the footstool where the webbing has stretched somewhat. The base is solid and in great shape. The legs are a little loose but it is sturdy. 19th Century Victorian Child's Footstool w/ Tufted Top & Bamboo Legs
This charming little Victorian stool is very old. We have had this sweet footstool for many years. It surely held the high top shoes of a child or young lady in a Victorian home. The old brown paint is giving way to the antique blue paint which covers an old yellow paint. The tufted top is worn and held by metal brass tacks. The banding is missing for 4" on one end and you can see the original condition of the top which is blue velvet. This little stool is about 8.5" tall. The top of the stool is about 10.5" X 7.5" The legs are painted bamboo and are 7" long. The crossbars are also bamboo. A nice example of antique children's furniture. Beaded Needlepoint Victorian English Footstool
This sale is for a small Victorian English beaded needlepoint stool. Fortunately. The beading and wool is complete. I cannot find any loose or missing beads. The design is almost a Celtic one using black, silver(pewter) and bronze glass beads. The background of the needlepoint is a red wool. The footstool is about 4" high and 12" in diameter. The 3 porcelain ball feet protrude slightly from the stool edge. These often are seen with wood veneered bases, but this one is gold painted. It doesn't appear to have ever been veneered. Up for auction is a Victorian style footstool with metal legs. I believe it was made around the turn of the 20th century. This would make a great restoration project. As the pictures show. The needlepoint, wood, and metal all have signs of wear. A section of the needlepoint cover is depressed downwards. The metal legs are screwed on. One of the is slightly wobbly because a screw hole is too far away from the leg bracket. That would be an easy fix to make the leg tight. The diameter of the round wooden base is 11 1/2 inches. With the legs included. It measures 14 1/2 inches across. The stool is about 9 inches high. I am not an expert on this item. So please ask questions and I'll be happy to answer them for you. Antique Victorian Footstool with Needle Point Floral Cover and cast iron feet Up for sale is an antique Victorian Footstool with Needle Point Floral Cover and cast iron feet. The stool is only 7 1/2 inches tall and 11 inches in diameter. The cast iron legs are 5 inches tall-and the wooden base and needlepoint make up the other 2 1/2 inches. The legs have a graceful curve with a 1 1/2 inch curl at the bottom. Twelve little wooden balls adorn the bottom edge for that special victorian look. It is a lovely wooden footstool, with a very dark wood, possibly ebony or ebonised wood, veneer, with gilt scrollwork and decoration, topped with a padded footstool with embroidery and beaded patterns stitched into it. It is not in the greatest of condition- the wool fabric has worn away from the mesh, although hints of its original vibrant red colour remain, some beads are missing and stitching coming loose. Antique Victorian late 1800's needlepoint wooden footstool aafa
I have for auction this beautiful antique needlepoint footstool. The outstanding feature are the colors& design of the needlepoint. As you can see in the photos there are a few small worn areas along the sides. However the top of the needlepoint remains in excellent condition for a 100+ year old piece. The base& lovely turned wooden legs are in exceptional condition as well. Look over the photos as they are an important part of the description. Antique Victorian Needlepoint Footstool circa 1900
This antique Victorian needlepoint footstool. Made by Forbes& Wallace, shows an image of a little girl in a field with her bunny. Forbes& Wallace opened their business in 1873 in Springfield, Ma. I am not certain of the date of this footstool, but it could definitely be traced back to the early 1900's. Stool has gold painted cast iron legs and a round wooden base. The wood base has scratches around the edge, but stool could easily be touched up! Identical footstool without needlepoint is also available for purchase! Dimensions: 10 1/2" round x 6 1/2" tall.
