Up for consideration I have a this Vintage Victorian Wooden Footstool with a floral burgundy needlepoint cover. This item is in excellent vintage condition. The needlepoint fabric has a small worn spot in 2 corners as seen in the pictures. I am sure it can be recovered. Legs and frame are very sturdy. There are 2 standard screws holding each leg on and 4 standard screws holding top to wooden frame. Please view my pics they are the best description I have done nothing to the stool. Leave that to new owner. Has a beautiful vintage look the way it is. Measurement 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" square. 7 3/4's tall with fabric/ wooden frame is 7's tall

Antique Victorian Footstool, small, cast iron legs, repaired, lg chips in edge
This auction is for an antique Victorian Footstool. It is small. 5 3/4" tall frame, 6 1/4" with upholstery. It measures 10 1/4" diameter. The wooden frame was split in half and reglued. One wooden bead of the skirting is missing. 2 chipped areas along the edge are colored in. It has 4- 4 3/4" cast iron legs painted gold. That is as it was found. Beautiful Victorian footstool with original needlepoint cover. Octagon shaped with mahogany veneer and inlaid tunbridgeware banding along the bottom. Top is covered in the original needlepoint with a wonderful bird and floral pattern. Sits on three round porcelain( feet. It likely had a metal insert which could be filled with warm water to warm the user's feet. But it is long gone. Nice antique condition with some loss to the veneer on both the exterior and inside of the top. The top has a"bow" in it and does not sit flush to the base on all sides. The needlepoint has one small area of damage and some loose edging. And one of the feet has a chip in it. Early Victorian Woolwork Figural and Flowered Footstool
Of all the household decorative items that Victorian women fashioned. One of the most difficult to find in very good condition is the needlework footstool. That is most likely because they were used until they literally fell apart. But also because such a useful piece of small furniture could easily be passed down and enjoyed from generation to generation. This footstool not only is very decorative with a soft. Pretty color palette, but also is a good example of several types of Victorian wool embroidery joined together to make a functional item. The most striking feature of this piece is the pair of young children worked in very fine wool embroidery adorning the top; this can be considered pettipoint compared to other forms of Berlin wool embroidery. Arm in arm, they are happily chatting while walking together. The stitcher has used an intricate ... moreinterlocking stitch background to differentiate the figures from it and the pettipoint flowers in each corner. She also used large French knots in the ground to represent small flowers peeking their heads up. The French knots were also used at the base of each flower in the corner. As for the surround on the sides. The stitcher used a combination of counted cross stitch for the roses, leaves, and some of the border; interlocking chain stitch for the background; pettipoint for the rosebuds; and a crewelwork tent stitch on the diagonal for the top and bottom of the surround. The roses twining around the stool are very pretty and add much to its decorative appeal. We added a cotton ribbed trim to the edge of the needlework sides at the bottom, solely to secure them from unraveling as the edge was a natural jute edge and had not been finished intentionally. The stool itself has been made as a high quality piece of upholstered furniture. As the top has been padded and webbed so as to be comfortable and very supportive. The covering appears to have been changed a few times through the years and it looks like it should be done again but, I like the worn appearance of the current one. Antique Victorian Black Pink Floral Needlepoint Footstool Flowers Carved Wood
This charming antique needlepoint stool was recently acquired from an estate sale. The carved wood base is accented with an archway style design in the wood. The black needlepoint boasts a gorgeous bouquest of pink roses. The stool measures 8" tall x 14 1/4" long x 9 3/4" wide. The needlepoint is in excellent condition. I could only find one extremely tiny white dot on the black background. No holes or fading. The stuffing is firm and the stool is very clean. The wood finish has some scratches as seen in the photos. There are 2 metal foot protectors on the bottom of the feet that I left in place. Thank you for looking and have a great day.

Great Victorian Footstool with Needlepoint Cover and Carved Swans
This is such a great piece. The more I look at it. The more I love it. It's totally Victorian, with the sort of wicked expression on the face of the swans-I assume they are swans. There have been repairs to the wood, but everything is very solid and the cover is in great shape. Nice mahogany piece with lots of great carvings. 22" long x 11 1/2" deep x 9 1/2" high.

Up for bid is a unique and authentic(not a reproduction) ornate Victorian cast iron footstool circa early 1900s. The green colored fabric on the top is in good vintage condition and the fancy ric rac around the edge is secured with brass tacks. The back is a grey fabric-covered panel and is secured by nails. I do not know if the fabric is original. But it was installed by someone very skilled at upholstery. This footstool would be great with cabin decor or in a den. Library, or man cave. Legs are very unique– the feet are shaped like hooves and the underside has a forged iron bar that adjoins the two leg panels. This piece is very sturdy and weighs about 7 lbs& 4 oz. Outstanding, Unusual Walnut Victorian Horseshoe Shaped Footstool (w/Old Repair)
Truly an outstanding and unusual Victorian footstool. In walnut with wonderful needlepoint having shades of pink roses this footstool measures 8-1/2" at its highest point by 12" wide. Notice the great detail of the horseshoe itself with the wooden"nails" included on either side of the needlepoint. This piece does have an old repair on the base(see photo) The repair really does not show as the base is inset 2" from the edge of the footstool. The base is also nicely detailed with carving.

Delightful little antique inlaid wooden footstool- circular with a tapestry top on it. It measures 11 inches in diameter and is 4.5 inches high approx and stands on 3 little bun feet. I think the wood is mahogany and it has an attractive box wood inlay around its circumference. The padded tapestry top lifts out of the base. The tapestry is in nice antique condition with no damage that I can see just some wear in keeping with age. The wood surround has some wear also as you would expect for its age- a few surface scratches etc but nothing serious. Lovely original item- please see my other items. The beading depicts a design of thistles flowers(Scottish influence) The background is needlepoint in a deep wine red color. The glass beads are beautifully stitched to create the design. Many hours of work went into this piece. Some minor bead loss(see photos) and one area where the wool stitching is loose. But overall in good condition. One little leg appears to have been replaced with an old cabinet knob, but it works and is not visible unless you turn the piece over. Top is secured with a wood nut on a wooden screw spindle. Late Victorian Oval Footstool with Wool and Silk Needlepoint; Eastlake Carving
This pretty. Late Victorian footstool has wool and silk needlepoint on the top in the design of a basket full of flowers. Roses twine up and over the handle. The wooden base of this oval footstool is mahogany with a dark stain and simple Eastlake carving. A brown, gimp-like trim is affixed with brown nailhead hardware(and probably glue) The footstool stands 7.5" tall. Is 11" across and 14.5" long. The colors of the needlepoint thread are muted but one can clearly identify carnations, roses and peonies with some shiny flecks of silk-accenting stitching. I suppose this could be a vintage piece of replacement needlework.but the design fits the oval stool so well. It would be a lucky match if it is not the same vintage as the rest of the stool. There is no damage to the needlework.and no holes or breaks to the support material. ... morePlease note photo of the bottom of the stool.there is jute strapping that is holding in the stuffing which appears to be straw and wood chips and possibly some sort of course animal hair(horse) There is a firmly glued former break in the circular wood of the base where one of the legs was attached. Two small nails and an old staple(along with the glue) keep it solidly attached. This is an old repair. The legs stand evenly with no wobble. Not a lot of people use footstools anymore(maybe we have grown too tall) But this is a very nice piece and decorative bits of history like this make for a nice accent piece. These can be fun to use if you are into vignettes.a small book and candlestick stacked on it. Next to a vase of blousy peonies or roses would add some zing to any entry table. Antique Victorian Footstool English Beadwork Walnut Slipper Stool Needlework
This auction is for a beautiful antique English footstool from the early to mid-Victorian era. I believe it is walnut and has beautiful needlework on top with glass beading that was so popular in the 1800's. By the style. I think this is from probably 1840's to 1870's. It measures about 12 1/4 inches across and appr. 4 inches tall. The needlework top has colors of beige and gold with white and clear glass beads. There are a few areas of missing beads- please see photos as part of the description. The wood is a beautiful color and I think has the original finish. There is one small crack on the backside(see pic) which has caused a very slight separation in the wood seam. see last picture) I consider this to be very minor, but mentioned to be accurate. This charming footstool was made in the United States by German-born Martin Ulsamer in 1875. He had emigrated from Germany and settled in Chicago. Martin made this footstool especially for his Swedish wife. Anna Louisa. He carved a pretty design into the frame of the footstool as well as onto the turned spindle legs. The footstool is oval-shaped and is in sturdy condition with all 4 legs intact and secure. The finish is in very good condition for its age. The cushion is in very good condition.
