It measures approximately 24" x 11 3/4" and is 16 1/2" tall and this is an authentic antique bench, not a reproduction so please refer to the close-up pictures for all condition details and ask any questions. It has claw legs/feet and the cast iron is good all the way around with no breaks, cracks or repairs and the wood top is nice and solid also. It has the W.H. Antique Victorian Courting Bench Late 1800's From Estate in Florida Mahogany?
This is an antique courting bench from an estate in Florida circa late 1800's. There are initials in the design. One is AF, the other is JF. You have to look at the pictures carefully, I have tried to show you that the bench folds open(is rectangle shape) and folds closed(with a barrier between the two seats) There is much intricate carving with a few spots(hardly noticable) that have been repaired. The two cane seats are intact. The carving which is at the back and sides folds up and down. There are hooks on the backside that accomadate thin drapery rods, one up, one down that you can hang fabric on to obscure the view.

The settee features and elaborate carved back crowned with a scallop shell design. The arms and legs have sinuous curved shapes. Antique Victorian Velvet Upholstered Cast Iron Vanity Bench Foot Stool Ottoman
This is an antique cast iron bench with dark forest green velvet upholstery. It has been reupholstered at some point and the fabric is in very good condition. Looks clean, does not have any tears or holes, the tacks that attach the fabric to the wooden seat are all intact and in good condition, and the trim is tightly woven with little to no obvious wear. The seat is heavy solid wood that seems sturdy. There are some age-related cracks in it that don't seem to weaken the seat at all. The cast iron legs are firmly attached with screws, and they are in very good condition with some minor scuffing and wear to the gold finish. Nothing is broken or missing. The bench seems a little high to be used as an ottoman. But I've seen others list it as one and that's what the antique dealer who found this thought it was.
