These stools were taken out of a 1920's milking parlor in eastern Tennessee. Measurements are 12-1/2 high(fixed) 9-1/2 seat wide Business went out in 1941. The stools were red/rust off color when we"picked" them. They were brought home to a local auto store( Fisher Auto Parts Jackson MO) they were acid dipped/ hit with rust prevent. Brought down to the metal. They were primed grey. Then hit with candy apple red! Two clear coats! Give it the"smear" look. These are rare! There's a debt or ding from YEARS of use. Vintage DECO Aluminum Stools-PAIR!-Mid Century Modern-1940's-Machine Age-Restore
Matching pair of aluminum tube stools. Probably made right after WWII to early 1950's. Both in the same good solid condition. No cracks. Dents, crushed tubing. deep gouges, or deep pitting. Original anodized finished is covered with surface corrosion. Metal is thick gauge and it would be a straightforward process to sand and polish to a mirror finish. Everything comes apart so each stool is 4 legs and 2 rungs. Original hardware needs to replaced. Stainless hardware store items. Stools sit square and have no rocking to legs. Seat tops have cheap vinyl covers. Bases need to be replaced but that is straightforward for good upholstery shop. Stool legs measure 29" with seats. These seats are another 2" higher. Footprint of legs is 16" by 16" Rungs are single piece of tubing that has a seam with a piece of wood riveted inside. ... moreThese 4 joints are all OK and solid. Vintage Pair of 2 Latin American Painted Tribal Stools, Aztec or Mayan, Panama
Pair of brightly painted wooden low stools. 12 inches tall and 12.5 inches diameter. Tops are shallow bowl shaped. Heavy carved wood- each weighs about 5 lbs. I was told that these were brought back from the Panama Canal area right after World War 2 by this guy's aunt. The decoration on the stools is similar but each is unique. There are some splits and cracks, and may have been glued. Overall good condition. If you know anything different about these stools, please send me a message with that information- I have not been able to find out anything.

Up for auction is a pair of Gasser Mid Century Art Deco Bar Stools. The legs are aluminum. Chrome ring. The seats are vinyl seat and back with arms, the back of the seats are fabric. The trim is a molded plastic which is a trademark patented by Gasser Chair Company. Height to top of back is 44" height to top of seat is 30" The seat is 15" x 17" arm one side to the other is 22" For me these stools are in very good used condition, I have shown photos of a few minor use flaws. Vintage pair of Art Deco/Moderne lunch counter or diner stools with swivel seats that have chrome plated metal back rests and gray enamel finished steel bases. The seat height is 20" Back height is 32" The base is marked"12-17-31 PAT APPLIED FOR C.H.F. This stool was used at many Woolworth and other lunch counters across the country including the Greensboro, North Carolina Woolworth's that was the site of the famous Civil Rights sit-in. The Smithsonian Museum of American History has original stools and the counter on permanent display. These stools have clean and cushiony turquoise vinyl seats. Did you ever wonder why you couldn't spin'round and'round on those counter stools? They have a set screw that only allows them to swivel from side to side ... morebut they can be reset to go all the way around. When new, the stools would return to their original forward-facing position but these do not- maybe with a little work they might. There is some very minor chipping and marks on the gray enamel but for the public abuse and use that these have received it is very minimal. The chrome plating shows pitting and wear- particularly to the center top of the back rest- decades of hands and backs will take their toll. One back has some dings on the underside of the lower horizontal bar that is not visible when the chair is set up. These are typical chair height, NOT bar stool height. Each stool weighs 30 pounds and we will ship the pair disassembled with the screws needed to put them back together.
