Primitive Wood Milking Stool found in an old barn in Northern MI. I know this early family had Dairy Milking Cows because on the same property I found 4 Milk Cans with their Dairy Farm number written on them. The stool is approximately 8" W by 11" Three of the legs are around 7" long and one is 9" Not much to say it is old and the one side that was on the floor has some wood rot as you can see in the photos. I am not certain what wood it is made of but has nice colour and patina with age as seen in the photos, the stool measures 9 inches high and 8 inches diameter and in good condition there are some glue repairs to the joints of the legs but otherwise just minor wear and tear with age

Guaranteed old 3 legged metal milk stool. It was originally RED on the top, you can still see the original color through the corrosion and rust. In all its natural glory. This awesome authentic dairy barn milking stool makes a great decor piece or photography studio or theater production prop. Sits fine and is still usable and stable. Measures 12" high. Seat is round, 9" circumference. Smaller circle with 1-1/2" star cut out is 4" around in circumference. Finish is rusty with some corrosion. Hardware appears all original. The moon and stars are carved into the surface. Please notice it is NOT MINT CONDITION. There are scuffs in the paint and it looks like some nail polish spills(the red dot above his eye and the white spot to the right of the star) Also the legs are loose. I am shipping this with legs removed. They fit into holes on the bottom. I would recommend tightening them with wood splints or carpenters glue or something. Antique RUSTIC WOODEN BARN MILKING STOOL Leather Top, Folk Art, Farm Foot Rest
I bought this old stool at a farm sale in upstate NY in 1985 and have been using it since as a foot rest. crocheted a cover since the leather was worn even back then! It is round with a diameter of 14-1/4" 13-1/2" tall. Made of hardwood. The underside was never planed, just 2 very thick pieces of wood nailed together and cut to shape. You can see 1 flat head nail lifting. The top appears to be about 1" thick solid wood, with a thinner piece of about 1/2" to create a rim for the top. The 4 legs are rounded and graduated with the bottom worn or maybe shaved at an angle to prevent it from wobbling. The legs have scuff marks. Some gouges, discoloration and a few spots of paint. All add to its antique charm. The leather top has a curved diamond. Hunter green center with brown outside and hunter green edges. You can see the ... moretiny heads of the nails used to secure the leather. The leather has torn at some of the seams and you can see the antique batting underneath. Still very study& solid wood. Could be a great foot rest or child's stool/bench. This piece has true character with age appropriate wear. Perfect decor or folk art piece. Antique milking stool Metal Weaved seat Folk Art Milk Primitive Rusty Jute Twine This stool is farm fresh. It has not seen the light of day for years and years. Stands approx. 10" high; 9 1/2" wide and 7" front to back. Purchased from an elderly antiques dealer who purchased many items over the years and simply stored them in an old building. He left this and thousands of items stored and never taken to his store in another town. Now he is downsizing and trying to rid himself of overstock so his family won't have to do it in the future. He said seat could be removed and replaced but he wouldn't advise it as it is original to the piece. This most likely is a folk art piece that someone made ~ a make do. Primitive.Iron& Wood Milking Stool or Bench Seat Very unusual stool.I have never seen another quite like this! Look at the handmade base on this piece. It has a solid. Rugged yet dainty base with simple turned up iron feet. It is likely the top was replaced at some point. As it is also in excellent condition! It is be a sturdy piece of rough sawn hardwood walnut. This came from a farm established in 1874 and was hanging on the wall of the deteriorating barn for who knows how long. Sadly all that is left of the barn now are the small remnants of it's working life. Measures approximately 11.5" Tall, seat is 11.5" long and 8.5" wide. Such a cute. Unique item to use as a plant stand, stool or decorative stand in your home!

Vintage from estate Wood Milking ? Stool Bucket star in middle w/ designs on...
I was unable to get any history on this stool bucket? from the estate I purchased it from. I think the bucket is older than the seat that might have been made for it. I am not sure though. Please look at all the photos uploaded and please be your own judge. It has a fabric. Padded top. Maybe a milking bucket/stool? I really do not know. It doesn't have any handles on the sides. It does show wear and on one side, I assume the front side, is a star with designs on each side of it. It looks like the inside has a mustard yellow color that has worn in places. There are places of wear, rub and color wear, scratches, used in condition and wear as well as age related wear, etc. I hope the photos uploaded will speak for themselves, the condition and description. These stools were taken out of a 1920's milking parlor in eastern Tennessee. Measurements are 12-1/2 high(fixed) 9-1/2 seat wide Business went out in 1941. The stools were red/rust off color when we"picked" them. They were brought home to a local auto store( Fisher Auto Parts Jackson MO) they were acid dipped/ hit with rust prevent. Brought down to the metal. They were primed grey. Then hit with candy apple red! Two clear coats! Give it the"smear" look. These are rare! There's a debt or ding from YEARS of use. Please note these are rustic stools and have come from an agricultural setting so there maybe nicks.
