We acquired from an Old North Carolina Farmhouse Estate. Own a piece of Early ... moreAmericana Farm History! It is perfect for displaying in a Primitive Country Style Farmhouse Home. This old. Well used stool weighs 7 lbs. and measures 13" Tall x 16" wide at it's widest point of the legs x 13" in depth. The seat measures 14 3/4" wide x 13" deep. The seat is constructed out of pine and the frame and legs are a hardwood that we can't determine what type of wood it is. The stool is still sturdy but one of the legs is shorter than the others causing it to wobble, you can trim off the bottom of the legs if you want to level it back up. It has the original green paint that is reminiscent of the 1950's and 60's green paint underneath a coat of antique white paint. We didn't clean the stool at all because we didn't want to change the original condition that we found it in. It would need a good and careful cleaning(if you want to) As it is a little dirty from all the years it was used and from being in the barn. Retail Value Estimate- $75.00-$95.00 We are not 100% sure of the age but is most likely to be from th e early 1950's based on the original paint and style of construction. Offered is this wooden milking stool with four square legs. The top of the stool measures 14" x 10" and is 1 1/2" thick. The stool is approx. 9 1/2" high. I am not sure what kind of wood it is; probably pine? It appears to have some age but I don't know if it can be called"vintage" It may be homemade. There is one leg that is slightly loose. Rustic Primitive Antique Foot Stool Footstool Barn Find Milking Stool WOW! Who-hoo- went to my first auction of the summer- it was a farm estate auction literally right down the street from me. The former owners had lived there since he had gotten out of the military after enlisting during WWII. And her family had been on the property for generations before that. It’s all farm stuff- household, barn, outbuildings, property- many items from the 1800s and up. Lot of old iron, barn digs, primitives and pretties- I’m so excited to show them to you! Enjoy! O.K. So. My regular customers see loooots of glimpses of my wonderful shabby white stool that I use for my photos. I've gotten manymany requests to sell it, and I'm too attached to it to part with, but I always promise to keep an eye out for something that might be just as fabulous- ... morewell, know that I thought of you! Actually, I purchased two fabulous original primitive stools at the sale, I'll be listing the other one later on. This one was a barn find- making me wonder if it wasn't a milking stool? It has a nice wide top- perfect to fit the bottom! What I LOVE the best about it, though, is the patina. It's all original and oh-so-worn. The wood is solid and the bench was clearly hand made. The bottom is painted with a medium mossy green color and the top, although the wood appears bare with an age darkened patina, I do believe that is actually originally had a barn red(or a darker burgundy or rusty red) finish on it. You can see peeks of it on the top by the wonderful knot, and in other areas of the top, too, as well as some peeks on the side. Isn't it drop-dead-gorgeous? It measures 18" by 7 3/4" on top and stands 7 3/4" tall. I'm showing it next to my white stool as a size reference(sorry, it's not included! Primitive Rustic Vintage Footstool Foot Stool Milking Stool Shabby Deco Green I am still listing new items from the farm auction that I went to down the road. And also recently had an opportunity to go with another Ebay seller friend to the More-on-34 sales that run from Illinois to Iowa. Don’t worry, she sells clothing, so I didn’t have to take her down once to get to a treasure for you! Anyhoo, lots of interesting things- some very old, some military, some very unique, and something for everyone! Here's my other fabulous old stool this week- it's all original and right out of the barn. Made of solid wood. This stool has a gorgeous shabby deco green finish(light mossy green) that is chippy, alligatored(to-die-for! and worn from age and use. You can see that it also has some white paint oop's on the top, with some smaller ones ... moreon the sides and edges and, on the bottom- someone has scribbled in pencil, as well as written what looks to me to be"Uncle Ross 1961, the first work might be Linda instead of Uncle- it's hard to tell. You can also see some more writing, it looks like, Cindy to a? Clark. Now, I have a lunch box listed from one of the children of this estate- and that matches the first name. This is a charming primitive stool that is in excellent solid and sturdy condition- hand made to work, and to last and has done both! I am showing it next to my own porch stool in photo 3 as a size reference- sorry, my stool is not included! It measures 17 1/2" by 7 3/16" at the top, stands 7 3/4" tall and is 7 1/2" wide foot to foot on each side(so the bottom is just a touch wider than the top at the feet- part of what makes it so sturdy) It weighs 3 lbs. In addition to the finish wear and white paint discussed above, it has loooooots of other rustic wear- scratches, scrapes, dings, light spots, dark spots, and cracks that do not move- and don't affect the structure. And, in case I forgot anything, just about anything else that you can think of from a rustic barn lived oldee.

19th Century Antique Primitive Painted Wooden Milking Stool~Perfect Patina,Cond!
1860-1890's Primitive Wooden Milking stool measures 13 1/4" ht with a 8 3/8" dia Seat. If you check out my closeup pics you can see that years of wear have concaved the center of the thick wooden seat from the milker's bottom side! However this stool has stood the test of time and is still solid. Sturdy with no damage, and a great looking worn patina! The wood looks like oak or hickory and the bottom spindles appear to be constructed with a mortise peg in the middle.

Stains and repairs as this is old and used dried wood. It has the shabby country farmhouse look we all so desire. Originally only mortise and tendon. It has seen several repairs through it's life. The wool embroidery features butterflies hovering over colourful flowers- in greens,blues reds creams and yellows the embroidery is very well executed and charming and has a textured braid finish around the outside where pins hold it in place on the stool- please note that the cloth smells of smoke and the fabric is discoloured and has some dried glue marks as it was later covered with another fabric which has since been removed- several of the stool legs are loose- they have signs of old dried glue at the ... moresockets so have probably been fixed in the past-the wood is most probably pine. We used to sell these small primitive Asian milking stools. But we lost our source for them several years ago. We're clearing out our warehouse right now and this is one that we bought to sell but it got stuck out there and I just now came back across it. It's very old and weathered. It has nice weight for its' small size. It is a child sized milking stool. You could leave it with the weathered and worn finish OR paint or stain it. The legs are built to come up and THROUGH the wood. The peg legs are loose(they wiggle a bit when you maneuver them) HOWEVER. You could either glue or nail them for further stability if it bothered you. It's just a precious piece. Totally handmade and very primitive. Up for your bid is a genuine metal milking stool straight from the farm. This stool had some rust. So it was sand blasted and sprayed with primer gray Rustoleum paint- so it is ready to paint any color you desire(great painting surface for the tole artist,too. This is a 3 legged stool with hand forged welded joints. It measures 12 3/4 inches high, 9 3/4 inches in diameter. There is a handy hole for hanging( these were hung on a nail with legs facing outward. There is another hole where the metal was weak along the edge and broke through, doesn't affect its usability, just gives it an extra dose of character. It is perfect for displaying in a Primitive Country Style Farmhouse Home. This old. Well used stool weighs 7 lbs. and measures 13" Tall x 16" wide at it's widest point of the legs x 13" in depth. The seat measures 14 3/4" wide x 13" deep. The seat is constructed out of pine and the frame and legs are a hardwood that we can't determine what type of wood it is. The stool is still sturdy but one of the legs is shorter than the others causing it to wobble, you can trim off the bottom of the legs if you want to level it back up. It has the original green paint that is reminiscent of the 1950's and 60's green paint underneath a coat ... moreof antique white paint. We didn't clean the stool at all because we didn't want to change the original condition that we found it in. It would need a good and careful cleaning(if you want to) As it is a little dirty from all the years it was used and from being in the barn. We're not sure what to call this, might be industrial, might be chippy, might be primitive, might be all of these. It's 21" tall total. The seat is 12" x 12" and 12 1/2" off the ground. It has rubber feet. It is made of fairly heavy steel and just looks wonderful with what's left of the original red paint. That's about all we can think of to describe this little gem. You are bidding on an antique milk cow spring bottom milking stool/seat. Approx 12 1/2" total height. Wood seat approx 11 1/2" x 7 1/2" It is a little dirty and a little rusty. But over all not bad for the age. It straps on and goes where you go. It would be good for hunting also. Antique Vintage Primitive Rustic Handmade Country Farm Milking Bucket & Stool
This is a unique antique primitive and rustic Bucket& Stool. I am unsure of the age. But this is deifinitely antique and handmade. I believe this is a milking stool and bucket, but I could be wrong. This seems like something that would be found on an 1800s farmstead. The construction technique is very sturdy and basic, but crude. This is uneven and rustic and imperfect but has a lot of charm. The stool is stable, and very well made, and the bucket and handle are stable but it is not water tight. This is being sold as an antique collectible piece and should not be used. It is made out of wood which has a rich patina, and the slats of the bucket seem to have been sealed with resin or pitch/sap or something similar(to make it water tight? but it is mostly worn off. There are metal bands around the bucket holding it together, and they are ... morecrude and rusty. The handle is metal, and is connected with interesting hand made brackets. The"nails" also seem to be crude and handmade. The stool seems to be all wood, and is constructed with wooden blocks and dovetailing. This stool measures 9" high and it is 10" x5" at the top. Here is an old milking stool. It has a tube steel frame and steel seat. It is about 1' tall. The seat is about 9" wide. Get this great old farm collectible. This is used. It appears to have been kicked by a cow a few times! It is in rough shape. It is rusty. The seat is bent. The tube is split in one spot at the bottom. I would not recommend this be used.
