VINTAGE 2 ARNE JACOBSEN MID CENTURY DANISH MODERN FRITZ HANSEN DOT STOOLS
Here is a vintage set of two Wood and Metal'Dot' stacking Stools by Arne Jacobsen. Made in Denmark. Although there are no visible stamps underneath either Stool. After doing research I have little doubt that these are original. These Stools have age appropriate wear for their age- including scratches. Nicks, scuffs, chipped wood, and paint marks. One of the Stools has what appears to be water damage on the seat; the wood has staining and has cracked and is raising up slightly. Each Stool measures approximately: 17-1/2" high, Leg to Leg measures approximately 13-1/2" wide, Seat diameter is 12-1/2" Please look at all photos carefully and'mouse over' each one to see fine details. Amazing set of three signed Fritz Hansen Arne Jacobsen three legged dot stools- made in Denmark. These work perfect as plant stands. Ottomans, stools, side tables or whatever else you might dream up. Signed vintage examples like this set are hard to come upon. Many of the supposed Jacobsen stools are just in his style and not signed FH. They also are often drilled through the seat. They show a warm patina with beautiful wear from age- some chips to the wood as pictured. Does not detract from the beauty of these simple stools. Buyer may wish to refinish them but it isn't necessary- I gave them a coat of oil and they shine like new. Minor pitting to the metal legs. I believe these to be made by the Viko Furniture Co. for Baumritter. These are great retro vintage bar lounge stools from the Madmen style of the 1950s and 60s. They are considered Atomic Age. Space Age. They swivel but one has a tape repair. They are in as found condition, I haven't touched them. They are new to the market, found in an old house estate sale in New England. 29" tall x 12" seats and the base is 14" wide. Offered is a very fine and collectable pair of Kessler Mid Century Modern Cast Aluminum Swivel Bar Stools. Painted in bronze. These cast aluminum chairs are from the original maker. Kessler made similar chairs for a variety of other companies that are a close match to these and some were even made in cast iron. As you can see the castings are decorated on the seat backs and the seat stems and even finely shaped stand at the bottom. Three different colors of vinyl– pink. Turquoise, and gray– all with a subtle glitter in the fabric. Each measures approximately 15 ½” tall, 18” long, and 15” wide. All three are about 20” tall when stacked. Turquoise stool still has old manufacturer’s tag says made by the Pennant Corp. in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They show some minor wear from age and use. As shown in photos; fabric has a few small tears on edges and a couple of small spots here and there, and the gray stool has a few spots of white paint on the frame– no large tears or damage, and all three are sturdy and ready to use. America Post 1950 Bronze Kessler Mid-Century Modern Casting Swivel Bar Stools
Offered is a very fine and collectible pair of Kessler Mid Century Modern Cast Aluminum Swivel Bar Stools. Coated in bronze colored paint. These cast aluminum chairs are from the original maker. They weigh 35lbs each if memory serves me right. Kessler made similar chairs for a variety of other companies that are a close match to these and some were even made in cast iron. As you can see the castings are decorated on the seat backs and the seat stems and even finely shaped stand at the bottom. The seats are covered in black upholstery and these chairs are a rare find for me. In fact, these are the only 2 Kesslers I have ever seen. They will add to any home or office decor. The vinly has yellowed and the stitching has come loose/torn along the piping in a few areas, otherwise the seats and back rests are in acceptable/fair+ condition, reupholstery suggested, or slip covers. One back rest is slightly+ off proper alignment, factory flaw, but is solidy mounted. Black paint in VG- condition, does have chips and scrapes. Underneath seat shows signs of light surface rust. I had not planned on selling.BUT I need to sell to pay on my 12 yr old daughters brace s! I have seen a couple of identical sets listed at other sites at OVER $5.000. Glamorous pair of curvaceous lucite bar stools beautifully accented with polished brass and upholstered cloth seats. designed by Charles Hollis Jones and made by Hill Manufacturing. These stools are listed as Charles Hollis Jones on other sites. but I have no proof that this was his design. Hill labels intact on underside of seat. Condition of Lucite is good.There are rubs that need to be polished out.and a few small edge chips(nothing drastic)But felt by hand. noted in photo. No major scratches. No cracks. Upholstery could use cleaning/replace. Should clean easily or easy recover job with your own selection of fabric.The brass is UNPOLISHED also. These chairs are in better ... morecondition than it sounds.I just like to be thorough in my description.
