There is some kind of black composite material glued into the center of the seat to keep you from sliding around. It was glued on slightly off-center. All the way down. The stool is 21 and 1/2 inches tall. All the way up, it is 29 inches tall. There is a label on it that reads, Shampaine Industries, SI, St. Louis, Missouri, Subsidiary United Industrial Corporation. This comes apart for ease of shipping. The seat is 12 inches across. It has its four wheel and it rolls nicely. Here for your consideration is a late 1950's early 1960's retro style padded bench. Aqua-blue in color, in terrific condition. There are no blisters, rips or tears to this piece. The dimensions are approx. 36" long, 15" wide and 14" high. The legs are a dark walnut in color and are removable(screw in) Rather than being all one color, the vinyl covering consists of slight shades/ variations of blue in lines. The piece was manufactured by the Crawford Mfg. CO. Inc. 3rd and Decatur Sts. Richmond, VA. Style#8000. Mid century modern extendable slat wood bench. Manufacturer unknown. Probably dates to the 1950's or early 1960's. Has 2 sections of slats in a frame. And tapered, danish modern style peg legs with brass chromed pivoting feet caps. The slats slide freely in a track in the two outer slats, but do not come out completely. This bench/coffee table measure approx. 48" x 18" x 14 1/2" tall and extends up to a total of approx. 59 1/2" long. Has quite a lot of nicks. Scratches, wear and a few stains to the original black finish. Also has what might be some splintering or just heavier wear to the wood at the corners/edges of a few of the slats and there the feet caps are corroded and slightly rusty. Still very sturdy/solid. Here is a very heavy duty mid century double bench or love seat of wood. Iron and rush back. It is so comfortable to me. I believe it is by Arthur Umanoff from the mid century. The piece is heavy. The frame is iron, the seat is wooden slats and the back is rush. It has wonderful wear and patina. The measurements are about width 48" x height 29 1/2" x seat front to back 17" All measurements approximate. I want to sell it quickly so I will be adjusting the price up and down until it sells so if you want it grab it. It is free shipping to the lower 48 states only. Shipping is free but if you pick it up I will take off $250 as long as you promise to pick it up in Bangor. ME within 3 weeks of purchase and it is paid for within a week. I believe it was done during manufacture. I've taken a close up and put my hand near it. Please see all these things before bidding. There is an idea also you could paint the slats to look like piano keys for an artistic look. I prefer the natural mid century vintage look. But anything is possible. White Ottoman Stool is slightly off white somewhat of a pearl look to it. Pictures are close. But its not so starkly white. Nice little foot stool. Original mid century piece. It is in good condition with some light signs of use. The brass plate on the foot covers is tarnished and there is an area on the top about 1" square that is slightly yellowed. I am including the Mid Century yellow lamp that you see in the pictures. I purchased it specifically for this piano because I think it is a perfect fit. It is in like new condition. I bought this piano at an estate sale with the intention of learning how to play but never got around to doing so. I have not seen a more stunning piano model. It must be the only model piano ever produced with such beautiful tapered legs. I have done a lot of research and trust me. This piece ... moreis almost imposible to find. This piano was made by Baldwin for a limited time sometime between 1961 to 1964(I have the original booklet from the manufacturor. See last two pics. It is the only model that is both, made entirely from teak and has a Danish modern design. To top it all off, my research have indicated that Baldwin actually makes the best spinet pianos, so you get the best of both worlds. If you love Danish design and are looking for a piano. You will really appreciate this piece. The teak is in amazing condition. The Danish Modern design includes wicker front bottom cover as well as wicker cover of the entire back, which allows the piano to be situated in settings that expose the back. In addition, the 36″ tall piano size permits the piano to be placed under a window or against a stair railing, a setting for which a taller piano would be inappropriate. The piano measures 60" wide, and about 26" deep(from the back to the front of the keyboard) I am also including a matching bench with a hidden storage compartment. It too is in great condition. Mid century BENCH X Pattern Button Tufted Rectangle Bench Ottoman Dunbar Era 36"
I have a gorgeous mid century bright white vinyl or Naugahyde fabric 3 foot long bench or ottoman up for auction this week. It is a two large button tufted X pattern design perfect for all types of home decor. Approximate measurements are; Length- 36" Height-16" Width-13 3/4" It has those stunning tapered legs which may be walnut with brass looking caps. The caps have lost their luster and color for the most part. The legs have some scratches and the vinyl is pretty clean as it stands now but a bit more elbow grease and it will be even nicer. There are no tears repairs or damage to the vinyl with the exception of a dime size faint yellow mark which may or may not come out with a proper cleaning product.It's barely visible to me. One of the buttons has a dent/ding under the upholstery. Shipping should be fairly reasonable ... moresince the legs unscrew. Sliding Glass Door Credenza(this auction) Here's a wonderful vintage 1950s era George Nelson designed for Herman Miller glass credenza unit. This particular style was made especially to sit on a Herman Miller slat bench as seen in the first photo. It features 2 sliding glass doors. Both with the iconic George Nelson"scoop" handles that are built into the glass and a interior lamp that switches on and off as needed. The piece is a authentic but is missing the Herman Miller sticker ... moreas many of these vintage pieces are. CONDITION Overall the unit is in excellent condition with no major detractions. There are no breaks. Cracks or splits to the wood. The sliding glass is complete and without chips or cracks. The lamp has been tested and works as it should. The electrical cord is complete and without damage. There are some light scuff and scratch marks as seen in the photos that are normal for a unit of this age. Many of these have been lightly colored in with a furniture crayon and are very hard to spot. Photo 9 and 10 show both sides of the unit which has some of this light wear. Photo 11 shows a small area on the top which also has some light wear. These photos show the sides with direct light applied to it to make these minor detractions stand out more. The unit is missing the glass(or wood) shelves that went inside but it does have 8 of the metal clips that hold the shelves. These fit into the interior slots as they should and are secure. The cord that goes to the lamp is secure to the sides and top but not taut. It leads to a vintage transformer which sits loosely on the bottom interior. As you can see by the pictures this table is in very good condition. There are a few nicks and dings, but after all she is about 50 years old, From what I've researched on this table it was made in the 60's, most of these tables were made of teak or walnut, but i can't tell you for sure what kind of wood this is. This piece has been sitting in an attic collecting dust. When I brought it home I put some Johnsons paste wax to bring out her shine, that is the only thing i've done with her and she is a beauty.The very top of the table in the center looks like the finish is starting to get wore, but the wax made it look really good. Mid Century Lucite Vanity Bench Stool Castors Hollywood Regency 3/4" Lucite
This lot is for a Lucite bench/stool with castors. Perfect for a vanity stool. This stool measures 16 7/8" W x 12" D x 16 3/4" H. The casters were made by a company called Shepherd. The original plastic covering on the chrome plating was still attached. I peeled two off and two are still attached. Which means. The caster are in near perfect condition. They are secure in the stool- none come out when the stool is turn upside down. There are 2 Velcro strips across the top of the stool. I believe that there was a cushion attached via the Velcro. I left the Velcro on for the next owner because a cushion would be perfect for the top of this piece. There are a few condition issues with this piece. There is a small area where there is a chip. Also I point out a surface scratch. Lucite scratches very easily. I would say this piece ... moreis in really nice condition even with the chip. If there is a cushion on top.
