Offered is this mid century modern chrome bench. Looks like Baughman but there are no makers marks. A nice quality bench with solid steel flat bar chrome plated Y shaped legs and yellow or tan vinyl quilted upholstery. In very good vintage condition with a small puncture in the upholstery(as pictured) otherwise its nice a clean. The chrome legs have oxidation and rust spots but is shiny overall. Here is a very heavy duty mid century double bench or love seat of wood. Iron and rush back. It is so comfortable to me. I believe it is by Arthur Umanoff from the mid century. The piece is heavy. The frame is iron, the seat is wooden slats and the back is rush. It has wonderful wear and patina. The measurements are about width 48" x height 29 1/2" x seat front to back 17" All measurements approximate. Shipping is free but if you pick it up I will take off $300 as long as you promise to pick it up in Bangor, ME within 3 weeks of purchase and it is paid for within a week. MID CENTURY REGENCY GILDED FRENCH DIRECTOIRE LOUIS XV TUFTED BENCH SETTEE CHAISE
We are pleased to offer this EXQUISITE. Mid Century, Hollywood Regency settee, long bench, loveseat, etc. This is a fabulous and ornate, vintage piece with extraordinary character. The base consists of 2, X" shaped, French Directoire style pieces that attach to the bottom of the single bench seat. The bases have a tubular stretcher that connects the front to the back via bolts that also create the stamens of the center flowers(photo#5) The metal does not accept a magnet but it is not brass. The bases are embossed with elaborate design and are gilded. The bench seat is a gold, velvet style fabric. The cushion is deep and is button tufted. The bench is not marked. It is nicely made and is in good condition. The fabric has no rips or tears or stains, but there is a small area where it looks as if a glue substance has dripped on it(photo#9) ... moreIt is not terribly distracting and might be removed with a professional cleaning. The metal bases are good. Because they are independent of one another, there feet do not meet perfectly in the center. Again, this is not severe or distracting and can be resolved. The gold leaf/gilded finish has a few minor areas of chipping which is quite common with this finish and again, not severe. In general, the bench is in very good condition for its age(late 1940s to 1960s) This is a beautiful piece as is. It is quite sturdy and functional. It is heavy. It was purchased originally in 1964 and only had one owner. In great vintage condition for its 50 years, but could be touched up if desired. It is fairly light weight, but extremely sturdy. The six legs are all removable. A fantastic mid venture piece. There are no breaks, cracks or splits. It shows a few scuffs here and there, but no abuse. 1953 finn juhl bench. Sofa table; this bench came in three sizes, this is the largest of the three at 6ft long or 225cm. please carefully view supersize pictures and ask questions. i am not a furniture expert or the original owner but will do my best to honestly describe the piece. all original from the fifties. Table top has not been refinished and shows stains and marks but no chips. Cracks, or serious issues. all hardware is intact along with brass rails which show age patina. unfortunately there is no cushion. here is a description from the finn juhl site. Vtg 70's Kitchenette Bench Surfboard Table Paul McCobb Style Mid Century Modern
This is a very cute table and bench set dated 1973. It is custom made by the Blacksmith Shop. They are in excellent condition with some minor wear to the soft and supple vinyl or naugahyde upholstery and some minor wear to the painted metal legs. Some of the plastic glides are missing on the bottom of the benches but are available for replacement. The table has some minor wear to the laminate top. The benches measure 38" long. 19" deep and 29" high and 18.25" high at the seat. The table measures 40" long, 24" wide and 28" high. Pick up only. Thank you!
