Ten years ago I approached George R.R. Martin about making coins for his mythical realm. And we formalized a licensing agreement to that end. In those days he was just a couple novels into the Song of Ice and Fire series and his books were just starting to be noticed. Today of course they have become immensely popular and have become the subject of the GAME OF THRONES video series by HBO. The license for making these coins predates the Game of Thrones involvement of HBO and there is no influence from them on the design or execution of the coins. This is artisanal ... morework, using real metals and antique methods, not mass produced. These coins are made one at a time. By me personally, in my one-man studio here in Arkansas in the central United States, using the same methods as they might have done hundreds of years ago. The pure iron blanks are made by rolling down metallurgical grade high-purity iron bars to an appropriate thickness and punched using an antique manual screw press. The material is difficult to obtain and is now available only through specialty smelters on a custom order basis. This is the same material that German forces substituted for copper and used to make iron coins for occupied countries during WWI and WWII. After punching the blanks are then tumbled with fine polishing media to thoroughly clean and deburr them before striking. HUTCH brand POT BELLY STOVE sold by Lehmans in Kidron OH The stove is solid cast iron and domestically manufactured by Hutch Mfg Co in Loudon. TN. It can be used to burn either wood or coal. This stove is in new unused condition. I purchased it from Lehman Hardware in Kidron. OH in the early 1970's. Shortly after I purchased it we moved to a home with a fireplace and we had no further use for it. It has been stored there in dry conditions in our basement until now. We are downsizing and moving to smaller quarters in the next few months and it is time for a new home for the stove. The dolly casters under the feet& shown in Picture#1 are NOT included in the auction) The stove is approximately 52" tall to the tip of decorative chrome top- 42" to the top of the stove pipe flue- 18" diameter at the top- 18" diameter ... moreat the base- 19" diameter leg to leg- 52" in circumfrence around the firepot. I am not sure of an exact weight but would estimate@ 175-200# The chrome is in mint condition with not even a hint of rust or pitting. The stove iteself is also mint and free of any sign of rust. This nice cast iron book scraper came from an estate auction here in eastern Connecticut* Marked/stamped on the front of the scraper is: E&T C. 617. We could find no information on the E&T Company* The gate mark(the line on the bottom from where the hot iron entered the casting) dates it to the late 1800's. The pan measures 10-3/4" long and 8-1/4" wide at the top. The top of the pan is 2" high. The scraper measures 6" high to the top of the horns and can accomodate a boot up to 4" wide* The holes in the bottom of the pan which would allow it to be securely fastened to the step are on 6-5/8" centers. VICTORIAN CAST IRON BRASS INDUSTRIAL CLOTHING STORE DISPLAY RACK RARE UNIQUE
For your consideration is a really nice antique Victorian clothing display or rack. This display has two arms that can move around and 6 hooks on each arm. Old barber style wood decorates the bottom and stands on a cast iron base. The base has a lot of patina. But does show a gold tone as well, so not sure what the metal is, but it is very heavy. The arms are approximately 15" in length and it stands approximately 70" tall. The base is 13" square when measuring from the feet. This would make a great clothing display rack in a store, but could be used in a bedroom, or even at a door to hang coats, umbrellas etc. Use coat hangers for your coats instead of hanging on a hook which stretches out the collars. The antique Tailor's Sad Iron has a 20 embedded on the top side of the iron. It has a pointed front and a rectangle back. The iron does have a twisted handle to it with 3 twist in it. This will fit into a medium USPS shipping box which ships for one price. Since this weighs 20 lbs.it is the cheapest way to ship. This was a part of my deceased sister's iron collection. The item has been painted black to prevent rust. It does have two tiny rust spots on the bottom and what looks like previous evidence of tape glue. It does show some pitting.

Looks great although it does has some surface rust and wear overall. And some dust on the surface need to be cleaned up. It has a nice spinning wood handle. It may be made of heavy cast iron. This is a beautiful collection old antique curtain rods that can double purpose as sign holders if you like. My 101 year old grandmother just past and these were found in here attic. I am not sure of the age but they appear to be in nice condition with a very nice patina. Each unit comes with 6-7 rings on them. They are 4 brackets and 11 larger rings that you can see in the photos.
