I believe that the seat had fabric covering it at one time as there are small holes all over it. Possibly from staples? This fine piece would look great as a plant stand or even as a stool. It has mounting holes in the cast iron base for mounting it permenantly to a floor or just leave it attched to the existing piece of wood. The stool may be disassembled for shipment. The height is not adjustable. Get creative! Approximate Measurements The stool measures 19 1/2" tall and 21" tall including the base board. It has an approximate 6 1/2" diameter base. The seat of the stool has a 12" diameter. Markings None Condition Very good condition for its age. There is some minor to moderate scratches in the paint on the pedestal and base. Penn Antique Restoration. 35.5"x84" Vintage Wrought Iron/Steel Storm Door w/2 Windows& Hardware. Rare. Vintage, exterior door salvaged from New York City. The door is made of wrought iron or steel and features 2 removable window panels with tempered, safety glass. On the exterior side of the door, there is a strip of lovely scrollwork spanning across the center of the door. Directly above and below the strip, are 3, vertical bars and a 2 beautiful, ornate vine, leaf, and acorn motifs. The door and details are painted black. Hardware: The door comes equipped with a handle with push button latch-activator(no key. But currently unlocked) and a lever and latch. There is a bracket on the interior side of the door, in the center to attach a closer, and 2 hinge halves on the exterior side of the door. There are metal clips around the ... moreglass panels on the interior side of the door. Which keep the panels in place. One of the clips is broken, but the rest are intact. The clips are easily loosened and tightened using a Phillips-head(4-star) screwdriver. Condition: The door is strong. Sturdy, and in excellent, physical condition. There are no breaks, cracks, chips, dents, or soft/rotted spots. All it needs is some new paint, and it's ready to install. The glass is also fully intact and in great shape. With little wear and no damage that I can find. Could probably use a good scrub. As it's been in storage for some time. Weighs: 2lbs. 2oz I have owned this mask in my mask collection for 2-3 years now. Rarely do you ever see a cast iron Japanese mask, but even more rarely do you see one with an articulating jaw. I bought this knowing its rarity and craftsmanship before knowing its character, maker, or cultural use. Just recently I found a blog that supposedly is or follows a"Antique Japan Roadshow" that is a near exact copy of this masks and explains its use and origins very well. When i look at this mask i see materials(such as the war-era style matte black tape) that remind me of WWII era materials. I strongly assume the mask is from the early to mid 1940s. If so, it would make the mask about 70 years old, which ... moreis differs from the article as they suggest their is from the mid to late Showa period(1926-1989) I think its more like first to mid Showa period on the mask I have for sale. Signed on the interior forehead area. Although the artist's name is unknown. Japanese Noh theater features a wide range of masks which are used to depict everything from a range of human countenances to divine and supernatural personas. One of the most subtle and interesting mask types are those which are used to show the character and image of an elderly man. The old man mask offered here is of a type called shiwa jyou which is characterized by heavy wrinkles( shiwa means wrinkle) across the brow. Cheeks and lower face. Jaw on mine is intact with tight strips of what appears to be a fine-grade natural leather. Beautiful. Natural oxidation on the mask. Several of the smoothest iron areas on the mask, such as the nose, have a lovely shine to them, yet well also maintain a rusty brown color. Not sure of the origin of the hair on the chin. My strong assumption is horse hair given its coarse texture. The mask looks to have been hand-cast iron using some sort of sophisticated/highly-refined sand-casting. The

No oxidation although some of the lacquer has worn off. Ornamental hair and tassels are in good condition also. The mask is actually 2 pieces so it looks as if the lower jaw portion moves. cast iron Oriental Scholar temple corner topper fell in 1906 SF earthquake
This little guy resided on the top right corner of a Buddhist Temple in San Francisco until 1906. When the building he was on was destroyed in the great San Francisco earthquake. He was rescued from the rubble by a San Francisco Curiosity Shop owner, where he sat until my mom bought him in the late fifties. There was another on the other front corner of the building. But he may not ever have been found. He measures 9 inches tall and approximately 4.5 inches wide. His bottom side is shaped to go on a corner. He shows some rust and traces of paint. And is as found. Hello. I'm not sure where to start with this microphone desk stand other than.it's old! This ornate and beautiful cast iron stand has a marking on the bottom of the base but was ground at some point in time for whatever reason and all i can make out is that it was made by AL?IN MFG CO from Muncie Indiana. Serial number or model number 0823? This would have been made during the 1920's to 30's and like so many american companies.perished during the great depression. As you can see the stem angles outward and is made of brass. The chrome is in fantastic shape and the tube itself is 6 inches tall. The cast iron base is 7 inches deep X 5 inches wide X 2 inches tall. I've never seen one of these stands before and probably never will again. Super unique and super rare. Colorado and I have to assume sometime during the late 1960's or 70's based on the design. This floor stand is in premium condition. The boom arm and accessories are beautiful. They all function perfectly and have a very nice finish. The locking clutch works perfectly. There is no corrosion anywhere on the chrome stems and the black paint on the base is like new. very well taken care of over the years. the base itself is made of cast iron and very thick. Hello. You are looking at a very rare 1950's Atlas microphone floor stand(model XL-5) that has a cast iron(10 inch wide) base and a three piece retracktable chrome stem. Made in Brooklyn. NY just before Atlas relocated to Parsippany New Jersey in the early 1960's. The base has the 3 original cork pads on the bottom. The original black paint is in excellent shape as seen in the pics provided and the bottom looks just as good. This stand was well sheltered over the years. The chrome stems are in good condition with just a little wear. Very hard to see unless your up very close. All stems have a nice luster to the chrome and are free of any dents. The original Atlas decal is still in place and despite being faded.shows a very early logo.
