Vintage Monarch (Knapp-Monarch Co.) Travel Iron
This old travel iron was made by the Knapp-Monarch Company from Webster City. Ohio. You can see by the bottom plate that it has been used in the past as there are some scorch marks on it. The green electrical cord is about 4 1/2 feet long. The handle is tourquoise"ish" green, maybe better to call it light green. The cord is held up from the iron itself with a spring and there is a stand at the bottom. The box states that it is 110-120 volts 325 watts. The metal plate on the iron says 110 volts 400 watts. Included in the original box, is a screw in adapter plug made by Best that states it is 660W. 250V. I was not brave enough to plug this in, so I don't know if it works or not, I didn't want to wreck it. I is pretty heavy. According to my scale, 2.5 pounds. Up for auction is a Vintage 1940's/ 1950's Retro Waffle Iron/ Waffle Maker! This item is in Vintage Condition.on the fabric part of the outer cord is frayed. But no wires are showing. The cord has an on/ off switch on it. This waffle iron does work! It will need a cleaning and the area where the waffles go will need a good cleaning. Good condition for the age of the item. On the bottom of the waffle iron it is stamped CAT 250 Volt 110 120 and Watts 550. This waffle iron makes 6 inch waffles. The bottom base measures about 9 1/4 inches by 8 1/4 inches and 3 1/2 inches tall. This waffle iron has a wooden handle to open and close the unit. What a unique find from an estate sale! Here is a cast iron OLD candleholder that could also be used as a doorstop for it is very heavy. It is 11 1/2" tall and 10" wide. It is a very ornate castle with lots of figures on it. There seems to be dogs? Or monkeys? that are peeking from the very top. The outsides has figures. The patina is great. It's Howdy Doody Time! Or Time to watch I Love Lucy. Or Milton Berle, or Gunsmoke. Or Willie Mays making The Catch. Or Elvis Presley on the Ed Sullivan Show. But nobody can watch anything un less the rabbit ears get adjusted just so. Those were the days. Up for Auction is very engaging estate find. A very nice example of a top quality set top"Rabbit Ears" antenna from the 1950's. This little wonder had a knob to adjust for 6 channels, if you were lucky enough to live in an area that even had six channels. Great 1950's design- the latest in tailfins for antennas, you could say. Antennas extend, close and tilt smoothly. Selector knob t urns to all positions as it should. This item is in great shape. Crinkle paint on cast iron base is intact. Plastic/Bakelite( ball base. Selector knob and Antenna ball ends are intact. This ... moreis pretty amazing considering that these antennas were constantly being adjusted as the broadcast signal was affected by cloud cover, weather, cars parked outside the window, or the cat walking by. Still, somehow, they worked, and we enjoyed our six channels mightily. This is a beautiful piece of American audio engineering history. That being said. I have no way to test it, so it is Sold As Is. A little bit of string rub on the fret board if you look close and some pick skid marks on the chrome metal guard. Sparkle blue with a chrome pickguard and big fat maple neck. It comes with a $100 hard Gator case instead of the gig bag for better protection. Everything works as it should and it sounds great. The blue sparkle with the chrome guard demands attention. The axe head is in great condition and the old axe displays wonderfully in any rustic setting. It is solidly mounted on a 35 inch long, old wooden handle is worn and carries a great looking old weathered-wood patina. The axe head measures roughly 9 3/4 inches long and 4 1/2 inches wide across the bit edges. It is marked on one side of the face. The bit edges have a couple minor chips from the edges that can be filed out easily by hand if you want to do a restoration; nothing major. Vintage John Wright Cast Iron doorstop, flamingo or crane
For Sale is a John Wright iron works cast iron door stop. Featuring either a crane or a flamingo, as he searches the marsh grass for dinner. Condition is very good to be 70-80 yrs. old. there are some pock marks on the body, and most of the paint is gone from the base, if there ever was any, but the crane itself has remarkable color left. My research indicates it's from the 20's or 30's. The words"John Wright cast in USA, along with a 3-digit model number I couldnt' make out, are impressed on the back of the base. It is 6 5/8' in. tall, 2 1/10' deep, and 5' in. wide. The colors are still pretty good, with the bird pink, legs blak, and grass green.

This is an antique wall mount American Standard drinking fountain. The main unit is in good condition and most of the original porcelain is intact. If you look at the first picture near the top you will see a small area that was damaged and the porcelain was patched. But otherwise it seems to be intact. The unit does need cleaned. The arm does have some porcelain damage as shown in the picture. The unit is cast iron and the bottom has the following- Made in USA By A.R. S.S. Corp Louisville Plant P8440. At the other end it looks to say No. 2. The drain and fountain are both marked"standard" and the unit has the name American standard stamped on as shown in the picture.
