Three Cast Iron Legs with Green Man Motif. I believe the stool originally had four legs. I do not know the age but believe 1800s Victorian. ORNATE Antique 19th C Victorian Era Cast Iron FOOT STOOL Ottoman foot rest
I have up for sale a wonderful circa late 1800s Victorian Era Fancy Cast Iron Base Footstool. The castings are ornate and the paint appears to be the old original. The stool measures approx 14" square on the base. Approx 12" square on the top. The upholstery is older, I do not think it is the original but its older. It should be reupholstered and repadded. It has a scalloped top. And measures approx 14" x 14" x 7-1/4" tall and weighs about 9 lbs 10 ounces as you see it. The 14" is the base measurement, the top upholstered part is approx 12" across. The fancy cast base is quite beautiful. The paint appears to be original. Its with out question very old. The cast iron is in excellent shape, I notice one small crack, that has a repair on the back. This is a subtle crack that is only noticed when viewing with ... morescrutiny. My last few pics show the crack. In summation, this is an extremely minor imperfection and does not in any way compromise the structural integrity. A very nice foot stool. It's in perfect condition. No flaws or damage of any kind. There's no sign of use. I used it strictly as a display piece in setting up my booth in Antique Shows from the mid 1980's to my last Show in 2002. It fit in perfectly with the true antique textiles I sold. Its a lovely burgundy/deep pink-red seat with a black wrought iron frame. There are decorative iron-work leaves, about 3 1/2" long and 1 3/4" wide, on each leg lightly touched with gilding. The legs have a stately French flair ending in an elegant turned foot. It's the perfect mathematical proportions in the design of stool that makes this so pleasing to the eye. The classic organic pattern in the woven jacquard textile cover is the perfect choice for the seat cover. Measurements: the seat is a perfect 12" square and about 9 ... more1/4" tall. Rare Cast Iron 3 Legged Foot Stool
I'm pleased to offer this beautiful hard to find oval 3 legged cast iron foot stool. The stool is 6.5" high and is an oval 12.5" diameter. The cast iron legs are in terrific shape. The stool has been reupholstered in a great raised center tapestry with a royal purple velvet pleated band. Would be fantastic in any décor. Also a great gift idea. This is a set of 4 Gothic/Victorian style cast iron claw feet. They measure approximately 4" tall and 3/4" diameter at the opening. These would be a great addition to a piece of furniture as they are head turners. Each claw holds a glass ball that acts as the base that touches the floor. There is obvious wear. As there should be for any items of this age but overall I would say these are in good vintage condition. Up for auction is this nice set of 4 Cast Iron Claw Foot Hardware. With Glass Balls. The pieces have Brass or Brass colored Gliding. They measure 4" long and the glass balls are 1 1/4" in diameter. Each foot has a hole in the back to attach to the furniture leg with a set screw. Very nice detailing. These are authentic as I took them off an old round table. Awesome Old Estate Antique Vintage Shoe Shine Box Stand. Solid Oak With Cast Iron Foot Rest. Stool(or stand) measurements: 15 1/2" high, 14 1/4" deep, 14 1/4" wide. There is a faux cow patterned cloth on the padded top which appears to have been added in the 50s or 60s. The original padded top would most likely have been leather. Most screws, nails, etc. appear to be original. I doubt the underside hinges are original. Please see photo. The box is oak, quite heavy and well made. It is an older item, pre-owned and has been used. There are signs of age and use wear, including some dings, scratch, scuff. Overall solid piece in good estate condition. As mentioned. The piece is heavy- oak and cast iron. I've calculated shipping allowing for a sturdy box and careful, ample packing. After just cleaning the legs this now has the wonderful aged look that this has spent years developing. The top of the stool has a 9 ¾” diameter and is 3” tall down to the edging and it is roughly 7 ½” tall in total. The Cast Iron Legs are 4 ⅜” tall– are 3 ⅝” wide at the top– and 1 ⅝” wide at the bottom. This has a footprint of roughly 12” x 10 ½” The legs still tighten securely to the top. Up for sale is a beautiful Victorian. Antique, late 19th century cast iron footstool. It features a gold painted, cast iron base that has 3 decorative legs, a tapestry fabric top in peach, blue, green, and cream colors, and an antique gold fringe trim. This is a really neat piece, it is farm fresh, so I leave it up to the buyers to clean, not wishing to cause any harm due to it's 130 year age, but it could use a gentle cleaning. There is some minor wear and tear, including some chipping of the paint on the base, and one small spot on the tapestry, and the fringe is very delicate and has some wear to it, but over all this piece is in fair to good condition. Antique wood Sling Back Folding Chair w/ Cast Iron folding foot stool
This is an Antique sling back folding chair in great old aged condition. The frame of the chair is a dark cherry wood- but not exactly sure what type. It has a dried crushed velvet fabric seat. I believe this is a very nice old antique chair- it is aged and I did not sit in it but did push on the sling back seat and it seems sturdy. Lovely decor piece paired with a cast iron and wood folding foot stool. Both the chair and the old cast iron w/ wood foot stool is in great shape. No splits or breaks. Again the chair is very solid, as is the foot stool. There are age cracks in the leather trimmed crushed velvet sling in both the foot stool and chair and each do have minor repairs that were likely done over the years. I do not know the exact age of these pieces or who the maker is- but they likely date turn of the century and are very old. 2 Antique Matching Footstools One Full Size- One Miniature Salesman Sample in Pin Cushion Size I believe it's pretty rare as well as rather exciting to come across a matching set such as this- A full size foot stool with a matching salesman sample. Manufactured identical to each other in every way except for the size! These two antique pieces are in good condition. Their age being well over 100 years! The full size foot stool features cast iron legs that were plated. To appear as brass. The woolen fabric is in good"antique" condition with signs of wear, nothing major though. The wool cover underneath is intact with someone long ago having made a few minor repairs( as in re-tacking with nails) along the underside. Truly nothing major. See photos please. Normal wear, without any holes, tears or repairs to the fabric on either the top or underside of the stool. The legs are sturdy. However one of the legs has a small wobble to it.
