This is an original 1920's vintage UHL American industrial"posture line" factory industrial chair. Please refer to pictures as they are a big part of the description. Chairs are in very good structual condition. Walnut chair seat and back are in great condition in relation to these chairs age. Metal shows surface rust in places as pictured. But I have decided to leave them in as found condition with the green paint with light rust as some prefer the patina that comes with age. Original rubber feet with the words"Pussyfoot" and"Toledo Metal Co. are imprinted into the rubber. These chairs fabricated around 1922-25 by The Toledo Metal Furniture Co. This factory office chair was made according to the recommendations of the American Posture League of New York City. Its use brings the pelvis in right relation to the spine. So that one's weight is distributed over the pelvis and thighs. Nearly all parts of the chair are comprised of steel, cold rolled and die formed. The base is rigidly braced and has long wearing quality. The braces which make the base rigid are held in place by retainers set inside the"u" shaped legs, so that there is no pivoting motion to weaken the construction. The back wire or spring support is made of spring steel and yields pleasantly to the pressure of the body. Four bolts with large size wing nuts hold the seat and"spider" in the base of the chair. Adjustment of height is accomplished by removing the wing nuts and bolts, setting at proper heights and replacing the bolts. The seat should always be level, which is assured by seeing that the same number of holes appear above or below the brace on each leg of the large steel channel which furnishes the adjustment. The contoured saddle seat and backrest are made of Walnut wood

Nice. Solid all-steel 1950s Shop Stool by Royal Industrial Seating/ Royal Metal MFG Co. This chair works just like it should. I don't believe the casters are original. But they are older and they work fine(I'd just WD40 them so they swivel most freely) The seat deck has an adjustable height from 22" to 28" which also works fine, but the original lock twist is missing and replaced with a finger twist screw that does the same thing. Up for auction we have a nice vintage metal stool. This stool is about 24 inches tall and has a square base with an 11 1/2" black round seat. The rest of the stool is painted gray. The stool still has the plastic floor protectors on the end of each leg. This stool is in good condition with very minimal surface scratching. Toward the bottom of the legs they're a couple very small spots of surface rust. Also the black part if the seat has some damage that gives it appeal. Vintage Industrial All Metal Iron Shop Drafting Garage Stool Chair Steampunk
Here is a really nice looking old vintage all metal work stool. This is all iron(fully magnetic) and very durable and sturdy. I do not see any manufacturer information on the stool. The seat sits quite high. About 28 1/4" from the ground, and the top of the back is about 41" from the ground. This looks like one of the lowest height settings and is adjustable, although this is a great height for drafting, working, etc. The seat diameter is about 13 3/4" This is a very solid industrial piece with a great look. To save on shipping, I will likely take the back rest off to reduce the size of the shipping box needed.
