In good original, strong and as found condition, showing wear from use and age otherwise in great shape. The top is upholstered in brown leather which is peeling off due to age. The wood part is well constructed, sturdy and with bentwood legs for stabilization, all in very good shape for it's age again showing expected signs of use. It has one small& fixable wood split as shown. Vintage Industrial Stool Although this type of stool is adjustable. Some have a double washer locking mechanism inside stand, this one is either down or locks in top position. The height is either 17- 1/2" or 26" Stool seat is 12- 3/4" diameter. The foot print is 22-3/4" square. To get it to go back to bottom position. I must turn stool upside down and grasp base and jiggle, then it slides down. I have not disassembled chair to inspect mechanism inside tube. Some of these stools have a rivet and washer at bottom of tube. This one has a nut. The stool sets level with no rocking. Three of the glides are frozen tight. One spins freely but does not adjust up and down, I have only used my hands, I have not attempted using channel locks or pliers. See pictures for detail.

The round seat feels like it is padded under the yellow paint that previous owner painted. Matched Pair Antique Operators Stool - Industrial Drafting Barstool - STEAMPUNK
Offered for sale is a matched pair of old Western Electric 4A operator chairs. The main frames are constructed of steel. The seat frames are also steel. With wood backrests and a wood frame for the seat platform. The seat platforms are designed to accommodate a pressed cane insert. One of the pressed caned inserts is completely missing, and the other one, while still intact, needs to be replaced, Press Cane can be purchased on the internet. There are several websites with directions on how to replace press cane, including at least one youtube video. I have done it before and it’s not too difficult. There is wear to the wood finish on both the seat platforms and the back rests. The paint is original. And has some chips and wear. There are also places with some light oxidation to the finish. A few of the legs have some heavier oxidation near ... morethe floor area, but nothing structural. The circular foot rest. Which measures 18 inches in diameter, is a steel ring encased in a hard rubber-like material. One of the seats has a length around ten inches long where the rubber like material has worn off the top of rest, and you can see the steel ring. That seat also has a smaller area where there is a spider crack to the top surface of the coating. The other seat has a relatively small area of wear to the coating. All of this damage is included in the pictures. The foot rests attach to the frames with brackets on the underside at each leg, each bracket having two screws. A few of the screws are missing. Also, one bracket is missing. The wood back rests and the wood seat platforms are removable. So if you intend on refinishing the wood, you will be able to remove them for refinishing. The seats rotate a full 360 degrees. The seat height is adjusted by rotating the seat. At its lowest setting. The surface of the seat platform is around 28 inches above the floor, and you can raise the seat to a maximum of 37.5 inches, although at that height, there is a slight wobble in the large threaded bolt which attaches the main frame to th

A great vintage. Mid-century modern, industrial stool on wheels. by Garrett Chrome and Vinyl Estate Find I believe that this is from the 1970's or 1980's. This stool is in great. Great condition. The seat is excellent with no issues. The chrome has very little surface oxidation here and there. Could be rubbed out or left as is. I prefer the little bit of oxidation. It gives the stool character. Picture#4 shows the most accurate color of the stool. An off white. It currently stands 28" tall but it is adjustable. It lowest height is 22" Instructions to raise and lower are on the bottom and they work. No tools needed. Base measures 22" in diameter at its widest. Top seat measures 16" diameter. It is a heavy. Awesome industrial machine-age drafting stool made by UHL STEEL FURNITURE/ THE TOLEDO METAL FURNITURE CO. Toledo OH. See the yellow maker marking in the picture for all of the maker information. The stool is in good vintage condition. It has a very nice aged look to it that some people like so I haven't really tried to clean it up much. I'll leave that decision to the buyer. The wood face of the back rest is coming up at the edges in a few places, not damaged just needs re-glued. The metal frame has a fair amount of rust as can be seen in the pictures. The nut on the rear side of the back rest is is covered in masking tape. It actually works very well for turning the nut in order to adjust the back-rest height. The adjustment mechanism works very well for both the back rest and the seat height. Overall. The chair is very sturdy. It ... moreswivels smoothly and adjust easily. Vintge eames era industrial drafting metal chair stool
For sale is a heavy metal vintage eames era industrial drafting chair/ stool. The chair as pictured measures about 32 inches high to top of back rest and about 13 inches wide(width of seat) However on a chair like this there are three ways you can adjust the dimensions of the chair. First the back of chair can be moved up and down by adjusting the screw on the back and sliding it up or down. Then tightening the screw again. The heighth of the stool section is about 18 inches high as pictured. The height of the legs can be adjusted also to get an additional 4 inches of heighth by unscrewing the screw and replacing it in the slot you want it to be. The back rest can also be adjusted in and out by unscrewing wing nut on bottom and sliding it in or out to level of comfort and then tightening wing nut. The chair has a round metal foot rest on ... morethe legs. The seat is a composite type of material over the metal part of seat. The color of the stool/ chair is a very dark brown. The item does show some loss of paint and specks of paint over the dark brown( could be painted whatever color you want) This is a great industrial drafting chair that is in great structual shape and would look great in your home. Vintage Industrial Uhl Drafting Stool Green Steel Wood Seat Factory F. Post old
Great vintage steel stool with wood seat and wood back rest. It believe it is a Uhl Toledo stool but has no Uhl label. Just says Frederick Post(a drafting supply company) and City of Madison tag. The painted steel surface has tons of character, rust, wear and patina, yet is still very sturdy and functional. The wood seat has it's original finish and is in good sturdy condition. Stool adjusts from 25- 31 inches high, adjustment lever functions like it should, bottoms of feet pivot and chair rotates. This stool is fresh out of an old estate and may require some cleaning, please look at the photos.
