Description" Straight out of an old machine shop here in my neighborhood I have this fantastic old stool that is the epitome of the machine age era. Sturdy and straight forward with simple yet ornate design. Thick wall tubing and rod. And thick plate for the seat. All original paint without any paint over and solid as can be. Between the ware shows a nice metallic oxidation and overall original aged patina. Outstanding! It's over 2 feet high as pictured and can be spun down to about 19" high. The diameter of the seat is about 13 inches. This would be a great addition to any steampunk or loft style decor as well as a great plant stand! Antique Industrial Adjustable Cast Iron Steel Stool Seat Chair like UHL Toledo
This is an absolutely killer industrial chair/ stool. With adjustable seat back. The two things that really stick out to me as unusual with this are the seat back assembly and the splayed out feet. The height of the seat is approx. 18" With the seat back(as configured currently) at 31" though it can adjust higher or lower to desired height. The feet create a rectangle of approx. 13 1/2" x 14 1/2" The seat is approx. 14 1/2" in diameter. The only minor issue I can discern is that the front piece of the seat is seperated(totally stable as is. Since the metal ring is supporting underneath) and just needs to have some wood glue put into the crack to tighten it back up. Visible in last photo. Sold with No Reserve. From a local estate. Here is an older"Adjustrite" adjustable shop stool in decent condition. Stands about 18" tall at the lowest position, adjusts up to 27" Label under the stool gives info and instructions on how to raise and lower the chair, the mechanism works just fine. Average condition with moderate wear and paint loss, the top is worse with bubbled paint and rust but it's still solid. I have had this for years and love the look; it has the best seat; VERY distressed with the center worn to the extent it is depressed at least a half inch or so.some marks on the oak. A few nicks, what appears to be a light water mark.I LOVE IT that way.when you flip the stool over it looks like the seat was either replaced at some time or reattached. The iron base is great with a few signs of what appears to be old paint. It sits about 30 inches fully extended with 7 inches to go down; thus its about 24 to 30 inches high. Vintage Industrial Wood Metal Adjustable Stool Antique Welded Hand made?
For your consideration is this wonderful bar or kitchen stool. Has a great industrial look. True vintage to antique. You spin the sit to adjust the height from 27" to 21" in height. Large 1" acme threads. Seat has a tiny bit of wobble but is strong and not in any danger of breaking. look at the photos showing how this is mounted! Excellent vintage look with welded large nuts and bent rod creating the frame-all of which have a very rusty like exterior. Because of this I wonder if this is an old home made stool or did a company actually build it this way? 1 break in the foot rest that needs a weld. Threads are oiled good now but will need periodic re-oiling. Vintage Industrial Wood Metal Adjustable Drafting Stool Antique Operator Stool
This is a stool loaded with charactor! I was told it was an artist or drafting table but also told it was a operator or engineers stool. Measuring approx 31.5" without raising it up(this includes the high of the metal pad( on the bottom which was obviously not original to the piece but could be removed) Legs measure approx 19.5" across(at bottom) and stool seat is just over 14" in diameter. I wish I could read the original tag on the stool(see pictures. Tag is slightly better than pictured but hard to read) I can read the word mahogany on the tag but there is also a word preceeding it which I cannot. I am having trouble reading anything inside the company insignia. It appears to be a person standing in the center but again, I am unsure. I would LOVE to know where it came from but have come up with no results. The leather cover ... moreon the seat(seat is not solid. It is a wooden rim with hollow middle) is tattered around edges. It appears to be a blue type fabric underneath it, looking from the underside I do not believe it is original. The mechanics of the chair appear to be in working order. Chair raises and lowers with a bit of play. The wooden arched foot rest has 3 spots of cracking but it is solid and this appears to only be through the outer layer of wood with the deepest of the cracks less than half way through the wood. It does not seem to affect the integrity at all. One of the wooden plugs on the bottom of the legs(covering an old flat head screw) is gone, the other 3 are in tact. I have had this for over ten years and purchased this in the condition that you see. It does adjust up and down and it swivels you just loosen the bolt to raise or lower it then tighten it back up. EARLY INDUSTRIAL DRAFTING STOOL ADJUSTABLE DESK CHAIR BENT WOOD
Early industrial drafting chair. Made of metal with a bent wood seat and backrest. The backrest has a wing nut and is height and pitch adjustable. The seat is stationary and has a width of 16 1/4" We were unable to find a label or manufacturer marking on this chair. It is similar to the Toledo chairs. Chair is 21" tall at it's lowest seat height and 24" tall at it highest seat height. The base has the original paint and the foot rests are stationary. Wood seat and backrest are in good condition there is a chip on the back side of the back rest. Please see the pictures. The back rest may be taken off for safe shipping.
