Vintage Queen Anne Footstool French Script Paris Stamps Fabric Toile Slipcover I purchased this vintage ottoman and decided to upholster it with a muslin fabric and to make a slipcover for it so that the slipcover could be laundered if needed. The top of the ottoman had a 3' high piece of foam on it and I added some batting to it all around to make it a bit cushier. The batting was stitched on. It is not going to slide. The covering is a white muslin and the bottom was completely newly covered in a black fabric as it acts as a dustcover. This ottoman measures 16' high, it is 21' wide and 16' deep. I painted the queen Anne legs a nice white. The slipcover's main fabric is a very collectible fabric right now. A pink& gray Premier Prints twill fabric(also called a cotton duck) one that is lovely quality! I've worked ... morewith their twill fabrics before and they have a beautiful hand to the touch and sew beautifully! My experience is that they wear well too! It is a French script/stamps design called Paris Stamps. The color is called Bella Storm and has a soft to medium shade of the yummiest pink and the designs are a light gray. I trimmed out the bottom with a gray French toile plaited ruffle and topped it off with a favorite trim of mine, a curly fringe in pink. All seams are finished! No edges that will fray. If laundering, I would recommend hand wash in cold water, hang to dry or dry clean. Nice to have an ottoman that is slipcovered for easy care and to be able to change out the slipcover if desired. I have up for sale a wonderful vintage circa early 1900s or there abouts Nicely Detailed Hand Carved French Footstool Foot Rest. This is a gorgeous piece. With wonderfully detailed hand carving on the legs and apron. The wood is approx 1-1/2" on the apron area. I can not be sure of the exact age but believe this to be an older/ antique piece mainly because of the thickness of the wood which would usually only be seen in earlier examples. The top measures approx 14" wide by approx 11-1/2" deep. The piece stands approx 10" tall. The wood appears to be either mahogany or walnut- I am not sure which. The footstool is very strong and sturdy and the upholstery very nice and clean- probably was reupholstered sometime ago- this surely must not be the original upholstery. Antique French Louis XVI Green Gilt Wood footstool Tapestry orig needlepoint
Up for consideration is a fine diminutive Antique French Louis XVI footstool or Ottoman. I believe it is stuffed with straw or hay. It measures 24 inches long by 13 1/4 inches deep by 13 inches tall. There is some nice neoclassical motifs carved along the apron as well as at the legs. It is very sturdy and has no foul odors. It is only sturdy enough for feet though and could not actually be sat on. It appears that the outer liner underneath has been reattached using Staples. Also. ANTIQUE FRENCH WALNUT DIMINUTIVE FOOTSTOOL LOUIS XV PROVINCIAL NEEDLEPOINT TOP
This is such a very sweet little antique footstool. It is diminutive in size. Being only 5" tall, 10 3/4" long, and 7 1/2" wide. The piece is French, 19th century at least if not earlier, possibly period 18thc. It is in the Louis XV provincial style, walnut, with carved cabriole legs. There are some worm holes, so I know it has some good age, and spent a good portion of its life in Europe. The top is a more modern needlepoint with a petit-point flower center. beautiful colors. There are a few stitches of the needlepoint missing and a tiny tear in one corner(not noticeable at all) The underside shows the age and construction of the wood. you can see the very old glue holding the hand made joints together. You can tell that the legs are all hand carved because they are slightly different and not perfectly matched machine made. ... moreYou will love this piece. its a real gem!

Although the base of this ottoman is not vintage it sure has the look. I painted it with Annie Sloan paint and waxed. The vintage velvet with roses is a shoe stopper in a room. I purchased this vintage skirt years ago and finally decided to cut into it. Sometimes this can be difficult. All trims on this are vintage. They come from 25 years of collecting. Everything is hand dyed and attached by one or more of the following ways. Stapled. Glued or hand sewn. It is meant to have the look of putting together scrapes. All is topped with a gauzed type drape over the top. The pink fringe doesn't appear as dark as it is, medium pink. All solid 2 inch thick wood, all hand stiched needlepoint fabric.nicely padded with a nice wrap around trim. Folks, this piece is possibly late 1800s and could be from France, I am just not sure.
