It has Burgundy material ... morewith floral needlepoint work. It measures 16 inches wide. 9 inches deep and about 7 1/2 inches high. I believe that it is from England as I purchased it with a load of antiques from England and Belgium. It appears to be quite old but I don't know the exact age. It is sturdy and can be used with no problems. Due to it's age it looks like it has been repaired. It has had steel reinforcements added underneath the piece and you can see the brackets in the pictures. It also has some spots where the wood is chipped off. 3 of the 4 small wood scrolls on the inside corners have been broken off. That is not very noticeable but I wanted to point it out. If you are looking for a perfect footstool you may not want this one. It shows it's age and has a great vintage look. It is not perfect but looks great to me. I've tried to take a number of pictures so that you can judge for yourself it's quality and value. Please feel free to email me any questions you may have about this item. Antique Needlepoint Foot Stool - Carved Legs - Black Flower Top - Footstool
What a lovely footstool! It measures 16 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 9 inches. The needlepoint top features a lovely floral scene on a black ground. There is some wear to the needlepoint- some small holes here and there- see photo 9. The stuffing in the top has compacted a bit so the top curves in a bit- it just needs a little extra stuffing to bring it back up again. The base has been glued in places- see the last two photos but overall and there is a chip or two to the wood but overall. This antique footstool has a beautiful look- it's a great old piece!

Fine guaranteed antique footstool from a local southern N.J. estate. This stool is all original and stamped and dated on the bottom-1878-C.A.COOK&CO. BOSTON SUCCESSOR TO L. POSTAWKA& CO. The stool measures 20"W X 15"D and adjusts in height from a low of 17" to it's highest-23" This ingenious mechanism is controlled by a screw turned rod through the bottom with adjusting buttons which turn on either end to adjust the stool. All original ebonized finish. the stool is made from either solid mahogany or probably cherry which was the preferred stronger wood used for the ebonized finish items in victorian days. Stool also retains what appears to be the original needlepoint upholstery.so you can see from the condition it was well care for and hardly used. This is an absolutely beautiful vintage wooden footstool covered with a needlepoint. The needlepoint is completely finished and is a floral and butterfly pattern on a neutral colored background. The stool itself is dark wood. With turned legs and is marked'MADE IN YUGOSLOVIA. The stool measures approximately 12 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches wide and is 9 1/2 inches tall. The legs have some wear/finish chipping due to age(see photos) and are a little loose, but this in no way detracts from the beauty of this piece.

This is a vintage/ Antique footstool with needlepoint design. The stool is about 14" tall and 18" wide. The floral design is in beautiful colors. The background looks pink in the picture. But to me it's more of a salmon color. This is a nice footstool, but there are some minor imperfections due to use and age. It is very sturdy though and if cleaned up, would look really nice. This is a lovely antique stool with a carved wooden base and a padded needlepoint top. The tapestry background is a golden yellow with a beautiful hand stitched floral design. Measures 14" x 10" x 8" high. The design and the single slot screws suggest a manufacture date prior to 1940. The stool is in good. Vintage condition. It is quite strong. There is some wear to the finish on the carved base, see close-ups. The needlepoint top is very clean, free of odors or stains. Upon very close inspection, there are a few missing stitches(see close-up) on the needlepoint top which is rather charming. Lovely. Small footstool featuring a walnut frame with cabriole legs and a traditional style floral needlepoint top. I believe the piece is all original, with the exception possibly of the gimp trim. It's from my mother's estate and she was an antique dealer who specialized in English antiques, so also I believe it's English, though it might be French. Regardless, the piece is in excellent antique condition, showing some some wear on the frame consistent with its age. No cracks, no chips, no replacement pieces. The needlepoint is also in great condition, free of any tears, missing stitches or replacement yarns; it has some minor fuzz overall, again consistent with age.
