The ball& claw mahogany legs& the needlepoint are not the original. The cushion underneath has dried over the years but does not feel hard& it is dented on one side from where a person used it as their footrest. It will need recushioning at some point since I noticed some powder from the cushioning when i flipped it over. The stitching has unraveled in a few places as shown but overall. This ottoman is sturdy enough for use& looks great with a room full of older furniture. Will ship insured.

There appear to be a few stitches missing in the needlepoint; not sure if this is intentional for a certain effect, or if these stitches are undone. There is a label on the underside(see last photo) identifying this as mahogany wood. This vintage piece is in very good condition, with just a few light scuffs on the wood. Here is a vintage needlepoint footstool with a round. Padded top featuring a red rose. It has an interesting base made of found wood or driftwood of some kind, maybe redwood. I don't know how old it is, but the lady I got this from said her grandmother had had it for as long as she could remember. The stool is about 12 inches high and 12 inches across. The cover on this looks very nice but has some overall fuzziness and a few snags. The base has an intentional rustic look to it. It is firmly put together. But rocks a little bit on a hard floor because the legs aren't perfectly even.

Beautiful. Deep blue needlepoint upholstery, very well done, with rich reds, greens and white and gold. The footstool is 8" high in the center, which is standard. The top, where you rest your feet, is 14.5" by 9" A lovely piece to place in front of a chair. These are also used next to a high bed as a step stool. Came from a CT country estate where the woman's mother had done the needlepoint herself about 60 years ago. Nice slightly curved legs. Medium tone wood. Stool made by Millersburg Products in PA. With original label, probably made in the mid 20th C, around 1940s-1950s. Since these live on the floor, they do get tossed around and this one has a few scrapes, just to the outer finish. This unusual piece was purchased at an estate sale on Shelter Island, New York, and it came from a fancy 1880s Brooklyn Heights brownstone. Now it is looking for a new home. The wood(walnut? is decorated with black and gilt paint in the Eastlake style, and there are four cloven feet. The floral motif needlework top is nailed on all around, with a cushion underneath. The foot pedal raises the cover to reveal a thick ironstone spittoon dish. You don't really want to think about it, but probably the maid removed and washed out the dish from time to time. The base of the spittoon is marked with a crest with ... morefish and birds, and G.P. Co, for one of the many potteries of the day, perhaps in East Liverpool, Ohio or Trenton, NJ. There are no other marks of maker or origin. You can scroll down to see more photos. This impressive antique footstool measures 6 1/2" tall from the floor and 12" across the needlepoint top. The pedal and feet extend a few inches further. The spittoon itself is 9" across and stands 2 1/4" high. The whole piece weighs about 9 lbs without any packaging. There are loose threads. Loose nails, scratches and worn spots in the wood and paint, and surface cracks and craquelure in the spittoon. In general, it is in good antique condition, ready to restore if that is your wish. 8 Vintage Completed Needlepoint Tapestries for cushions, chair seats, footstool
A collection of vintage completed needlepoint tapestries. I have accumulated these tapestries over a number of years. Plus many more, my home and friends and family have now got tapestry cushions everywhere, as I have never been able to leave an unloved one languishing at a craft fair or car boot sale. Some of these have been removed from strange shaped cushions, and others have been completed and not stretched and finished. I will give details dimensions and condition of each one individually in conjunction with the pictures. 1/ Gross point needlepoint. This has been squared and has had cord piped around it, it is in good condition, not the neatest of work at the back, measures 39cm x 40cm. 2/ Traditional central cream cartouche with roses design. Burgundy border, there are thumb tack marks on one side, there is a slight mismatch of border ... morecolour on the other side, it measures 35cm x 40cm, and it needs stretching, I have taken the measurement from inside the thumb tack marks. 3& 4/ Are both the same design. With a circlet of pansies, one has a forest green background, the other light caramel, and are seat tops by Penelope, these would need completely soaking and stretching as they are out of shape,They measure 35cm back to front 32cm at the back of the seat and 39cm at the front. 5/ A cushion front with an aqua background and a central garland of flowers. It will need stretching as it is slightly out of shape it measures 35cm x 37cm. 6/ A small footstool top with a cabbage rose design. It seems to be slightly more oval than circular, at its widest point it is 29cm diameter, there are pin holes and stains on the outside canvas, There seems to be quite a bit of"give" in the canvas, so I think it could be soaked and stretched to a perfect circle. 7/ This is a more contemporary design with a Phoenix or Dragon. On a yellow background, with an oriental style border, it is quite square and measures 34cm x 35cm, this had been made"very badly" into a cushion with a beige lining back, when I unpick

Made in the furniture capital, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Vander Ley Furniture was in business from 1923 until 1951. They were manufacturers of fine revivals and reproductions of upholstered parlor seating and tables. They became most famous because Warner Brothers Studios used Vander Ley Furniture for the set in Gone with the Wind. This rectangular footstool measures about 17" x 14" and stands about 15' tall. This sale is for a fabulous Vintage Bamboo Rattan Footstool with a vintage needlepoint of ducks in flight. The stool is octagon shaped with 6 sides and measures 12" x 12" The stool is in excellent condition. The needlepoint is securely attached to the top and is finished with wool cording around the edge. It needlepoint shows very little signs of wear. As the top of this stool was rattan. It began to age, so the rattan top was been replaced with a Vintage Wool Needlepoint of Duck in Flight. As always. ADORBLE RARE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN NEEDLEPOINT FOOTSTOOL WITH CAT / BOW - STOOL
You are looking at a Adorable Victorian Needlepoint Foot Stool. It's in Excellent Condition for it's age. I'm guessing it to be from the 1930's era. There is a stamp on backside of stool, looks as though it reads Peoples Furniture? There is some other writing, but I can't make it out? It has Wood trim, some wear bumps and nicks& wood beading that hangs around edge. The needlepoint is trimmed with decorative upholstery tacks with elaborate Queen Anne legs. The Stool measures in height 7" width around 10 1/2" I haven't seen a needlepoint stool like this with a Cat/Bow before. Thanks for looking& Happy bidding. Please feel free to ask any questions.
