Lovely Antique Vintage Foot Stool Needlepoint Bowed Cast Iron Legs Floral Rose
Awesome looking antique/ vintage needlepoint foot stool about 6 1/2" high and about 10 1/2" in diameter. I do not know much about these kind of old items so the description I give you is from observation and goggling. There are larger size needlepoint and quite small needlepoint in the floral designs which I think is called petit needlepoint. When I first got the stool I softly tapped the stool a bit and lots of dust came out; it does not look dirty but choice of any cleaning I always leave to the new owner of the treasures I find. No rips or holes to the needlepoint and sturdy material. Really does not show wear damage. The darker colors do not look faded but the solid kind of pink color and pastels looks like they might be. If it is or not, it is consistently the same color. The ornate cast iron bowed legs have worn gold spots ... moreshowing metal, particularly on the bottom feet and spots which would have been handled a lot. Goggling I found similar legs which stated they were late 1800s- early 1900s and French. Whether needlepoint cover is original to the legs I have no way of knowing but hardware used to put together is old. See pictures for condition. This little treasure was part of a parishioner's estate donated to her church that holds an annual fundraiser from these types of donations. I took pictures of underside to show how it is put together. The foot stool is lovely feminine looking and would make for a lovely boudoir addition. Thank you for looking.

Antique Victorian Footstool Cast Iron Legs Slipper Foot Rest Stool Leather Top
I have for auction an estate find. This is a Victorian Footstool. Often called a slipper stool. The legs are cast iron, with an ornate design. The legs are attached to a wooden frame that has been covered with horsehair, a batting and then the leather piece. From the underside their are 8 wooden balls that have been attached with nails. The leather has been tacked and nailed on the side of the board and then the legs were screwed to the top. The approximate dimensions are 11 1/2" long& 8 3/4" wide. The legs are almost 5" tall and with the cushion on the stool 6" high. I did not see any breaks or repairs in the cast iron. The stool stands about 34cm( 13.5" high and 42cm( 16.5" in diameter, the legs are about 24cm( 9.5" long and are removable by unscrewing, they will be removed for shipping) the leather is nice and soft and the colour is green, the condition old used but very good with no damage to leather stitches etc.

Gorgeous Victorian foot stool. Covered with green tapestry, needlepoint type material. I did not pull the material loose to look at it closely. It is very pretty. Four legs are cast Iron painted gold. All material is nice and tight and is held with tacks. It measures 9-1/2" across and 6-1/2" tall. The cast iron feet alone measure 5" tall. The wood on the stool is split. it has been put back together with metal pins. The stool is very sturdy.

Please scroll down under this description for additional views.Antique stool of walnut. Oval top measures 16" by 9 1/2" and it is 6 1/2" tall. The stool has four turned splayed legs that are joined through the top of the stool, and connected by 3 turned stretchers. The top oval has a very subtle concave surface and worn down traces of a saddle seat shape. I think this was originally a milking stool. The legs were probably a little rotten on the bottom from years of a dirt barn floor and it was cut down and used a footstool. It comes from the estate of a gentleman from Massachusetts. It was cut down long ago and sits nice and square on the floor. Since the top has been worn smooth and relatively flat by many years of use, it makes a nice little stand for a plant or books. Came from a high end estate, Brown with reds, pink, green& white. Great Victorian Piece though not without defects. The Needle point is torn in center of stool, scratches on wood, tears on edges as seen in photos.
