Estate Sale Purchase From A Fine Antique Asian Collection Description and Item Information Up for sale is this large. Vintage, carved wood display stand. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This objet d'art rests on four broad feet. It has sensitive carving, with openwork(pierced) areas. I do not know what type of wood it is; it is a hardwood with a teak tone finish and a tight grain,my best guess is teak wood. The display surface(inside the lip) measures approximately 15 1/2 inches by 9 3/4 inches. The overall dimensions are approximately 4 1/2 inches tall by 17 1/ 2 inches long by 12 inches wide. This wood is a heavy wood. This vintage old stand itself is a work of art, and it would elevate whatever object you choose to display on it. Identification The exact age of this Chinese stand is unknown. But it is vintage and purchased from ... morea very fine estate with many fine old Asian and European antique items. The original owner said his mother purchased this item was part of her collection for years. Condition This item looks good overall. There are some splits parallel to the grain. Likely from shrinkage of the wood. HERE IS A VINTAGE AFRICAN KING ON A HUMAN STOOL HAND CARVED WOOD STATUE CARVING FIGURAL. THE STATUE MEASURES 9.5" TALL AND 5" IN DIAMETER AT THE BASE. THE STATUE WEIGHS 1 POUND 10 OUNCES. THIS STATUE IS IN EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION WITH SOME DAMAGE. THE LEFT ARM HAS BEEN REPAIRED. THE SEPTER IN THE STATUES LEFT HAND HAS BEEN BROKEN OFF AND TEMPORARILY LIGHTLY GLUED ON TO THE STATUE FOR PHOTOS. THIS SEPTER WILL NEED PROPER RESTORATION. I am very pleased to offer this lovely foot stool and that has its body all carved and with a great floral needlepoint top. The piece measures 18" by 14" by 11" and is in excellent condition with no rips or tears in the needlepoint and no repairs or dings in the body or legs. Please look at the pictures and you will see a that this piece was probably hand carved with the flowers and the needlepoint looks as though it was hand done. It has nice brass tacks surronding the border of the needlepoint and the canvas under the body has been changed for neatness and asthetics Please feel confident on this great little stool as it is a great accent and a nice decorator piece! ANTIQUE RED PAINTED CARVED WOOD OVAL MILKING FOOT STOOL~ WITH HAND EMBROIDERED SEAT WITH BUTTERFLY AND FLOWERS 9" TALL this is a very old and dirty carved wood milking/foot stool which has at some time a long time ago been painted red-it has a very old and very dirty but absolutely charming hand embroidered seat- on a coarse cloth. The wool embroidery features butterflies hovering over colourful flowers- in greens,blues reds creams and yellows the embroidery is very well executed and charming and has a textured braid finish around the outside where pins hold it in place on the stool- please note that the cloth smells of smoke and the fabric is discoloured and has some dried glue marks as it was later covered with another fabric which has since been removed- several of the stool legs are loose- they have signs of old dried glue at the ... moresockets so have probably been fixed in the past-the wood is most probably pine. Vintage M. Hayat & Bros Peshawar Pakistan Carved Camel Inlaid Wood Foot Stool
A fantastic vintage early 1970's"M. Hayat& Bros. Lmt. Peshawar(Pakistan) wood foot stool with cushion. The footstool has a carved camel figure at each end. A square slat like post with round ball ends along each side, and legs with brass inlay and brass foot plate on each. It has two wide slats for the cushion to sit. The stool is held together at each end with black leather strapping that goes through holes in the cushion slats and around the posts behind the round end(see pics) and there is a screw at the center of each slat into the side posts. The brass inlay is a scrolling design on one leg and then what looks like an initial B on the other leg(same inlay on each side) The wood stool itself is in VG condition. The cushion is made of a black vinyl and has a couple spots of wear/ cuts in the vinyl and is missing a number of ... morebuttons but is in overall nice condition. The stool measures 16" tall at each camel head and 12" tall at the end of each cushion slat x 14" wide(15" wide across at the feet) Precious owner told me his parent's brought it back with them in 1972 from the Middle East. This unusual stool has a built-in handle on the seat for easy carrying! The side panels feature carved crosses in rounded indents and added"beads" around the top(one"bead" is missing) The seat is painted a mustard color that doesn't match the oak grain of the sides. This piece measures 12¾" wide at the top. 10¼" wide at the bottom and 16" high. The bottom edges looks like it sat in water and is discolored and rotted in spots though the wood is very sturdy still so a bit of refinishing would fix that. There also are paint splatters in spots that I did not attempt to remove(light green) My guess is that someone refinished the bottom part but left the seat; there are a couple spots underneath where the paint is visible. Antique French carved walnut foot stool, 19th century
Wonderful true antique french carved footstool dates mid to late 1800's. The wood is walnut and is rectangular in shape. The frame is in fantastic. Strong condition. The upholstery is it's original-it was mohair but is completly worn away. The webbing is very dry and the material used for stuffing is straw. Again a wonderful antique piece that simply needs new upholstery to bring it up to par again!

Very Old and Ornately Carved Wooden Gothic Stool with Leg Gargoyles
This is an absolutely amazingly carved Gothic? wood stool. I don't know exactly what the wood used is and I don't want to make a mistake but all I will say is that it looks like Oak but could be another wood. This is a very old and rare stool which could date anything as far back as medieval times. The legs are ornately carved in the form of some animal with scales and ears similar to gargoyles seen in Church/Cathedrals in the 14th and 15th Century. When you turn the stool upside down the markings of early tools can be seen showing the age of this piece. This is not the original covering. This looks as good in a modern setting and is a good conversation piece. This is in excellent overall condition and there are just a few chips. It has a wonderful antique patina to it. It is not in great condition. But this is not a piece you would be buying based on condition but rather for it's age and look. Wonderful true antique french Louis XV carved footstool dates mid to late 1800's The wood is walnut and is rectangular in shape measuring 12 1/4 long. 10" wide and 6.5" high. The frame is in fantastic, strong condition. The upholstery is it's original-it was mohair but is completly worn away. The webbing is very dry and the material used for stuffing is straw. The footstool measures approximately 14 1/4 x 14 1/4 x 9" This is a sturdy little stool. The wood base is solid. There are signs of past use on this stool, including scratches and scrapes on the wood portion, and some slight staining on the top. I didn't try to clean the top portion at all, so the stains may be able to be lightened or removed with a careful cleaning. In addition, one side of the top is a bit loose from the base. As I'm not a collector please look at the photo's carefully. The stool base looks like a hardwood. Which was handcarved, and is stained a deep brown. The footrest has been recovered in a golden yellow fabric with honey bees. Please see photo's. Vintage Carved Wood Footstool With Needlepoint- Antique Gout Foot Stool Up for sale is this antique oval footstool with a needlepoint footrest. There are no markings as to the maker. Year or origin. The footstool is in overall very good condition for it's age. As I'm not a collector please look at the photo's carefully. The stool padding and needlepoint cover does have normal wear. However it is all intact. The stool base looks like a hardwood, which is handcarved. And is stained a medium brown. The padding feels like a straw, only a guess. The floral needlepoint has a few small areas where it looks to me that they forgot to stitch some of the design. Nothing major. Please see photo's.
