Fantastic detail on this hand carved camel bench/ stool with leather seat. The seat has a picture of a man with a Captain's hat with a donkey. The camel itself is wonderfully carved including the legs and hooves. The one picture shows a piece of tape under the seat but the tape has since been removed(not sure why it was there to begin with) Both the bench and the seat show signs of age but overall the bench is still in very good condition. The seat shows wear from both use and age. So please view all pictures and do not hesitate to ask me any questions. This item will be disassembled for shipping purposes to both lower the cost of the shipping and to have the most likelihood that it will arrive safe and sound. Here is a very nice 1860-1870 Victorian Period Walnut Bench or Foot Stool carved all over with birds. Branches and leaves. Bench is 21 in. long x 10 1/2 in. wide x 18 in. high, excellent condition with no damage and no repairs. Top was recovered judging by the material in the 1930's- 40s but should be recovered again as the fabric color does nothing for the stool. STUNNING ANTIQUE NEEDLEPOINT FOOT STOOL WITH CARVED LEGS
This lovely. Antique, needlepoint stool has been in our family for years. It belonged to my Great Aunt, then passed on to my Grandmother, then to my Mom, and then to me.I love the quality of this piece but I have too many heirlooms and am running out of room to showcase my treasures. I wont allow anyone to use it so it has gone into my overcrowded office and I have come to the decision that it would be best to let it go to someone that will have a special place for it. The needlepoint top is beautiful in a floral spray of color highlighted with shades of pink, peach, blue, green, white and yellow on a beige or cream background and there are a couple of small snags on top. The legs are carved, curved, capriole legs and have some wear to the finish. The M easurements are about 8" inches tall x 11" inches deep x 15.25" inches ... morewide. The seams are all tight. Causing the apron to be loose, split on one apron panel which is horizontal across the lower span, one leg with old shrinkage split, structural integrity still in tact. Wonderful Older carved Lobi African Reclining Stool Nice Lines Rich Patina NR
For sale is a Lobi reclining stool that I bought at an estate sale about 8 years ago in the Washington DC area. It’s a beautiful piece with lots of character. Take a look at the photos. The Lobi are an ethnic group that originated in what is today Ghana. This is a used piece with nice patina and wear from where the user sat. It’s carved from one piece of wood and in some places is several inches thick. It has three squat legs– two in front and one in back. The reclining neck piece as a notched. Zigzag design and looks a bit like a geometric animal is you look at it one way and a guitar neck if you look at it another. You can see the worn blade marks in some places from the axe or adze used to shape its surface. In some places the wood is over 3 inches thick. At the tallest it stands about 10.5 inches tall(26.7 cm) and it’s about 20 inches ... morelong(50.1 cm) and 5.5 inches wide(14 cm) This has some age and use to it… in a good way. The wood is worn smooth on the face from being sat on. There are some scratches. But most of them are smoothed from the usage. There are some tight cracks(see the photos) but everything is very solid. There are two holes through the body that I think were old knots and probably there from its creation. And, one edge has gnawing from termites or something similar. The photos show everything. And I'm also selling an interesting pair of Yoruba bronze male female figures. If you have any questions. This is a very nice antique Eastlake Victorian walnut lift top stool. It measures 21 1/2" wide x 19" high x 9" deep with the seat being 10" x 20" It has been refinished/ restored at some point. There are new brackets at the corners inside the top. There is some glue residue at the joints of the dowels on the bottom which you can see in the last two pictures we posted. This fine Victorian foot stool I think dates to between 1860 and 1880. The stool I think is made of walnut that has nice grain and colour and has nicely carved feet as seen in the photos, the stool has a pink silky type material which I think is a later replacement and could do with a light clean, the stool measures 12 inches diameter and 6 inches high, there is general minor wear and tear with age with a couple of small knocks and some wear to the braid on the edge of the material

Rare Original Early 17th Century Chip Carved Oak Joint Stool c1600. A rare late Elizabethan/James I period oak joint stool with chip carved frieze to all sides. Original thick moulded oak top fixed with six original pegs and additional handmade iron nails. All peg jointed throughout. The fossilised oak is gnarled in areas but very stable and solid throughout with no rot. A very heavy set stool with thick turned legs. Solid with no play to the joints. Round disks to base of feet have been added/restored. All original stretchers present. Lovely genuine wear throughout. Superb colour and patination. Rare and beautiful example. Measures 21" high x 18" wide x 13" deep.

Large African stool hand carved by the Senufo people in the Ivory Coast. The Senufo people hail from an area spanning from Mali and the extreme western corner of Burkina Faso all the way to Ivory Coast. These were are originally created by the Senufo people as stools. They are easily adapted to use as side tables or coffee tables. Very sleek and simple in design. Each table is carved from a single piece of very dense African high quality hardwood. Antique Hand Carved prayer Stool From the 1800's era
This antique prayer stool is very old and its a beautiful piece I showed it to two different people that deal in antiques and they both told me about the samething. That they believed it predated the 1900's. And they began to point out the indicators. There's no steel springs to support the cushion just burlap straps. Plus threw out the 1900's they machined and finger jointed all the parts like joining the legs to the frame. In the pictures it shows crewed heavy metal bracket holding the legs to the frame. Plus in the 1900's they used inset wood screws to secure everything together.With this peice of furniture everything put together with small headed nails which you can see in on the bottom side of the prayer stool. The only screws in the entire assembly is the heavy metal brackets to secure the legs to the frame. Also all ... morethe carving on the legs each vary slightly from the other. Just the way its built shows primitive hand tools constructed it together. No power tools at all. The exact date they could not tell me just that they haven't had anything that old to compare it to. I would have to have an appraiser to give me specific information about it. I ask them its value they said high without more detail or something of stated value like it they couldn't give an accurate dollar figure. But they believe it to be high. Trying to get an idea of value I told them it was not for sale. The peice came out of an Estate auction and I've told you everything I found out about it. Look closely at the photos and you'll see what I'm talking about as far as construction. And I believe it has the original upolestry as well. Its green velvet in good condition. Vintage Primitive Folk Art Foot Stool Relief Carved Wood- DAD” c1940 I would almost have to think this is a Father’s Day gift from days gone by– I think the wood is Oak and it is very likely this was a“manufactured” piece that was customized to become what you see now. The top measures 12 ¾” x 11 ⅜” x ⅞” thick and overall it is 8 ¾” tall. The letters making up“DAD” are 2 ½” tall. This does show that it has been used especially at the corners(photo) but as you can see this is a beautiful primitive piece.
