An antique Vi ctorian organ or piano stool with original rosewood graining and figural. Cabriole. Cast iron legs. 10 Photos) The stool. 18" to top of seat, is in origi nal condition(as is) missing the fabrice.the original horsehair stuffing comes with the stool for upholstery. The stool was manufactured by Geo W. Archer of Rochester. New York,with a patent date of 1873 stamped on the cast iron seat plate. The seat can be raised or lowered by the revolution of the cast iron screw in the post.the support plate has been turned at one time, possibly because of screws loosening, and it would probably be a good idea to put it back into the original position with larger screws to enhance the balance when the screw is turned to the higher positions. Antique Victorian Era Stool/Suitcase Holder
Antique folding stool from the victorian era(late 1800s) Probably used for putting an open suitcase on. The stool has a carpet like top on hard wood rollers which are mounted on hard wood legs. The backside of the carpet is stamped L.M.Y.B. When open, the piece stands 19 1/2 inches high and 14 x 14 inches wide. When closed, it measures 23 1/4 x 13 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. The wood has been refinished and the carpet has been cleaned. The carpet is starting to separate in the center at the fold line and should be stabilized to prevent it from becoming a hole.

Up for auction is a wonderful SMALL wooden stool. Not sure if this is a"child's stool or slaesman's sample. The stool measures approximately 14" long by 7" wide by 6 1/4" high. This is VERY SMALL size! Each board(top. Spray style legs and apron) measure approximately 1/4" wide. It looks like the piece is made from the same type of wood for all pieces. The stool has great carved detail on the front and back apron as well as on the legs. The top has slightly separated from the base at each end- see photo's. As with furniture of this age-there is wear to the top. Edges and sides. There do not appear to be any repairs. The stool stands evenly. The patent date of September 4, 1860 is embossed on the front of the iron under-body framework. This is a working mechanized barber chair with adjustable headrest, seat and backrest. A brass hand-crank in the rear raises& lowers the seat. Additionally a side lever reclines the chair backward. The fabric is a luxurious plush terracotta velvet in remarkably good condition. The upper framework and legs are a lustrous solid hardwood, probably Mahogany. The ornate wood on the arm rests are adorned with swan head& neck carvings. Antique Leather Topped Oak Stool
This is an Antique Adjustable Leather Top Oak Stool. The stool has cast iron hardware that as found has a light patina of rust. The seat swivels freely in a circle. If you hold the swivel piece and turn the seat you height of the stool can be adjusted. My estimate is that the total height adjustment in no more than about 2 or 3 inches. With the stool adjusted to the minimum height it is about 32" to the top of the domed leather seat cover. The stool appears to be quite old. But there is no maker's identification. We purchased it as an estate item and we were not able to find out the age, the maker, or where it was made. Condition: PLEASE NOTE: I recently learned that the stool also had a circular foot rest that. As found, is missing. As found. The leather seat is split and cracked as seen. The leather cover appears not the be the ... moreoriginal cover. When viewed from the bottom through the wooden frame and metalwork you can see the remnants of what is probably the original caned seat. Also as found. It appears that a number of repairs were made to the attachments of the center cross bracing to the legs. There are several unused holes, several attachments appear to be via wood screws, while another has a crude repair with a nut and bolt protruding from the hole. Despite these repairs, the stool sits solidly and it in good usable condition. There are also some scuffs and scrapes on the finish on the legs in a number of places. This is a very nice looking old stool. It is being offered as found/ as described/ as seen with respect to the condition issues noted above. Antique piano stool in walnut manufatured by Charles Parker& Company. Meriden. CT. This stool is in excellent condition with glass balls in the claws. There are what appears to be small flecks of white paint on the seat. The seat swivels to adjust height. It is 14 1/4" wide, 19 1/2" tall& a foot at the claws. We are unsure if this has been refinished but it may very well be. Strong& sturdy. Comes from a smoke free home. Not sure of the date of manufacture but here is some history of the company: Charles Parker and his younger brother. Opened their first manufacturing factory in Meriden in 1832. Over the years they manufactured a wide variety of productss from steam engines, train wheels and printing presses to piano stools. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN BALL EAGLE CLAW PIANO ORGAN HIGH BACK STOOL CHAIR
Beautiful. Elegant Antique High-back Piano/Organ Stool Up for auction is my grandparents' antique ball-eagle-claw-foot high back Windsor Victorian piano stool. This stunning& elegant Victorian-era piano stool has 4 shapely turned legs with gorgeous ribbing finished with the magnificent ball eagle claw feet. Beautifully turned spindle stretchers secure the legs to the centerpiece pedestal. Original finish. Still in great condition. A true work of art and quality craftsmanship. Dating from about 1870 to 1900. A swivel adjustable stool with original ball and claw feet was made to use with a piano or organ. I do not know the exact hardwood, my best guess is it is solid mahogany. The finish is in excellent condition meaning there are no chips or scuffs* I believe it is American-made. It looks like Charles Parker, however I cannot find ... moremanufacturer's name on it so it could be custom made by an independent craftsman. Sorry, I just do not know since I am not an expert on antiques such as this. Please note: There are a couple of cracks that are visible in the finish(upper back of chair/right and left side) But chair is completely intact and secure. I do not know the origin of these imperfections- not sure if this is a hairline along a seam, or something to do with the way chair was made, or if the chair fell over at one time. Chair is still sturdy and although these hairlines look prominent in the pictures, you really have to look pretty hard at it to see them. Also please see pic of pedestal base of chair seat. There is a gap in the seam that does not affect sturdiness of chair, but cosmetically you may want to glue/repair.
