This very old foot stool is very sturdy and beautiful but has been repaired. One of the wooden handles had been broken off and was glued back together by someone. Also the woven fabric trim needs to be replaced(see photo 8) And it leaks sawdust. This feels like it was stuffed with sawdust or excelsior. There are small dents and dings in the wood as you would expect from a piece as old as this. The low loop hooked rug is in great condition with very little fading or wear, and has a lot of detail in the flowers and leaves. The background is red and black, making it look burgundy or maroon. Unsigned but an early Uhl Toledo piece. The last one of these to sell-different top but same frame brought $1500 as you just don't see them. Table top has some problems with some chipping.Delamination and extra holes. Frame is still pretty nice and in the original paint. You move the lever one way so it sets on the legs, move it the other and it lowers the rollers to roll around. Needs some old white paint droppings carefully scraped off it. Sound and solid. Table top is 27" by 20" Height about 26 1/2" Rollers roll and swivel ok. I am going to remove the table top for shipping to keep it from going oversize 3 but it will be maxed out for oversize 2 which is why the shipping is so expensive. It will reassemble with 8 bolts. It measures 12" long x 6-3/4" wide x 7-1/4" tall. It features the typical poplar wood color variations. Half moon cut-out legs that are mortised through the top, traces of green and red paint, construction with square and round nails, and double 1-1/2" deep aprons. This old stool shows wear in all the right places including missing slivers of wood and tight separations. But remains in very good structural condition. Th e legs and rungs are turned as are the edges of the top. Paint is worn and in shabby style. It's condition is sturdy antique which is to say. Imperfect. I find no major issues. Nor minor. But it is not new. It measures 18" high; the top is 8.5" square and the legs splay out to 9.75" square. Hu merous to me is the 3r d photo showing the stand as colored blue. It is not. but what I did to create this miracle change is amazing and total mystery. I must figure this out. It might be very helpful if people could view a piece in the color of their choice. Being a carpenter by trade,I,m going to say this is maple wood just by looking at the grain. I wiped it down with some Old English furniture oil and snugged up 2 of the flat head screws holding down the seat bracket.I am auctioning this stool for a retired friend who needs a little extra cash. It has been sitting in his bedroom corner for over 20 years with a pile of comforters on it. WOW! WHAT A FIND! Let me start by saying that I own a piano store and I see many pianos and benches every day. In the past 20 years. I have only seen one other original steinway adjustable bench come thru my doors. So yes, this is rare! This just came in with a 1928 Steinway B. This bench was with the piano since new! This is genuine leather and adjustable from 17" high and raises to a max of 20" high. The bench measures 22" long and is 17" wide. Feautures rounded art case legs with a black ebony satin finish. Overall for it's age it is excellent but there is some checking/cracking to the finish but very minor. Bid with confidence. You wont find another anytime soon. The wood seems to be in overall good shape but does have areas of rubs and some fading in color; the buyer may opt to freshen the stain with a new coat or leave it in its rustic glory. It has the unpolished brass claw feet. The glass balls have NO cracks and r in very good condition with bubbles. On the bottom of the glass feet are pads so they didn't get scratched or cracked. There is what looks like a scratch on the main middle leg but is the way it came from the factory which is a flaw in the wood. Please look at the photos I've showed it in one of the pictures. Up for sale are these two rare antique bar/ice cream parlor stools with wood seats and cast iron bases. I believe these stools date to the early 1900's or possibly older. Each stool has lots of wear from age as pictured but are very solid and functional. The seats have a cast iron point that rest in the shaft of the base and slightly teeters by design. One stool measures slightly taller at 25" with a 11 7/8" diameter seat and 7 1/8" diameter at the cast iron base.
