Antique Eastlake Pump Organ in Oak, with stool
WOW Antique Oak Eastlake Pump Organ. Chas. E. Netzow Mfg. Co. Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mid 1890's. This unit plays very well and all of the keys. Levers, pumps, and knee swells work. Unit has 2 candle holder shelves, and a shelf for collectibles above the music holder. Marked on back: S.610 and 143856 The music holder lifts up for storage. And it even has a key for the working lock! Some of the labels have come off but I have them. But there are 3 that are missing, and may be inside the unit, we haven't looked. Pretty beveled mirror is original to the unit. And it is a two-piece unit that comes apart for shipping. Original crushed velvet is in some places and was not replaced. Dimensions approx. 81"H x 50"W x 23"D. Stool is not original to the organ. But was purchased from an English estate. At the top is a 4" diameter, rusty hardware piece for attaching the seat, with three screws, one is missing as there should be 4. The truth is that I don't know the exact age of this piano stool. And we're only estimating it is 1800's. It has a swivel top that is upholstered. If that upholstery is original or not, well I can't say for sure. I can note that the hardware holding the stool top to the base looks shiny and new, so at one point it was disassembled. One screw is missing altogether. These are easily replaced. The stool is structurally sound, no loose parts. It has metal feet and is a unique piece. I can only imagine the hours spent at the lathe to create it. It stands about 16 inches tall with a 12 inch seat.

This has been relaquered or varnished and repaired sometime in it's life. The repair is to the top board under the seat that the legs attach to. It looks like it was cracked and glued there and then some extra braces put on it to increase the strength. It feels sound and solid and easily held my 300 lbs and you should have no problems with it. They are on the underside so do not show in use. I saw no other damage and everything is tight and sound. Seat covering looks original with some wear-no tears-and feels like the old material made of horsehair and camel hair that they used in the old lap robe/blankets. A few moth chew marks that don't go through. I think the wood is mahogany but is tough to tell with the old dark finish on it. Sound and solid with no chips,cracks or repairs. This is an ornate antique Victorian adjustable piano/ organ/ harp stool. The stool is in great condition and appears to retain its original mahogany finish. It is made of solid wood that is stained mahogany. It has metal claw and clear glass ball feet. The glass balls are not cracked and the legs and base are ornately turned. The seat is covered with padding and red velvet. The cloth is not ripped or torn. But has some light stains. There is some light wear and scratches from use on the wood, and the legs are a little loose, but could easily be re-glued. Has been in our possession for nearly 50 years. All joints tight, seat height screw free and adjusts from 19-1/2" to 24" from floor. There are no breaks or cracks, one glass foot chipped(see pic) and claws are surface rusty. For sale 1870's Piano Bench that raises and lowers by the Knobs on the ends of the stool by way of the metal mechanics under the seat. This was very avant-garde for the period. Adjustable piano bench were round and turned on the wood corkscrew dowel attached to the seat. The wood which I believe to be walnut is in. EXCELLENT dark stained condition and has never been painted. The seat was recovered but I believe was just put over the original seat as I can still see the strapping underneath. Up for auction is beautiful antique Victorian adjustable piano/ organ stool. This stool dates from the late 1800's and was made by the HD Bentley company. The company was founded in 1879 in Freeport. IL, and began offering over 60 styles of stools from their"new" factory on E. Van Buren Street in Chicago in May of 1893. Signed with iron nameplate: H.D. Bentley Freeport Chicago The wooden stool has nice turned legs. Wonderful feet with glass marble balls and a unique dragon/ head claw shape. The glass is visible trough the two eyes and at the base. The piece is 19" high(lowest position) and adjusts to 24" high. And measures 14" at the base and the seat is about 14 1/4" wide. See enlarged photos for condition. Seat swivels easily- although makes a little noise. There are no cracks or large chips in the wood. ... moreAll pieces are original and solid. The feet are intact. This is a very old R W Archer& Bros piano stool. I obtained this from an estate sale in Ohio. This stool is solid and has a nice weight(over 15lbs) I believe the wood is Mahogany but I am not 100% sure. The stool works as it should and swivels up and down. I bought it to restore but it has been sitting for about a year and it has become apparent that is not going to happen. There are age related scratches and nicks As to be expected from a use antique piece. Decorated with reed lined undulating legs with acorn buttons and acorn finial on the base. The seat has the same reed lines and acorn buttons with the addition of a scalloped apron on each side with carved curly cues. The seat brace-metal base has been reattached some ... moretime ago. It is now loose. Not sloppy but needs to be retightened or re drilled for a tight fit. This does not affect the balance or seat itself when used. When in use the stool is sturdy and solid. Long before the art deco era of the 1950's was art deco era in the mid 1800's. That art deco wasn't by choice. Things were simple because the tools to do otherwise were not yet invented. While the fancy spools and fine art work is something to admire by the late 1800's, it is the simplicity of the early pieces that makes them so appealing. They didn't have lathe machines to turn the legs or center spool in the mid or early 1800's. The art deco era of the 50's had the ability but choose to return to the simple look. One way to know which era a piece is from, is the hardware. This hardware is not the 50's era. Another way is the markings on the hardware. This is where companies like parker would put their name. Up for auction is a needlepoint glass ball footed antique piano or organ stool. This stool's glass balled feet have great detail on them. The needlepoint on the top of the stool has images of flowers on it. Needlepoint is in good condition with not rips or stains on it. The stools is in overall good condition. Two of the stretchers on the stool have been glued back in place. It doesn't look like the wood was broken or repair, they just look like they were glued into place. Very nice H. Holtzman& Son Piano Stool for sale. The conditions that I see are that on the swivel seat there appears to be a crack in the wood. And the brass pieces on the feet are loose and need to be tightened up, and the base part where the stool screws in is loose and would raise up from the base an inch or two. Maybe this is normal I do not know and wanted disclose what I see. Other than this the wood is in beautiful condition. The wood is either Mahogany or walnut and I would lean towards walnut, but I do not know for sure. 17 1/2" fully down-23 1/2" fully up to where the threads come undone so about 22" of safe usable height. Seat is 14 1/2" diameter and dished in the middle for comfort. Signed the New York Piano Stool Manufacturing Company. Sliver chip to the underside of the seat which hurts nothing. Leg spread is 14" across the closest feet. 19 1/2" across the farthest. Glass/crystal balls are loaded with air bubbles and in good shape. Very ornate claw feet with toes and claws and scales to look like bird feet. Threads in the iron mounting mechanism look good and are not worn out. I see a split at the very bottom of the pedestal below where the 4 leg cross supports insert and another small split/chip where a leg inserts into the bottom of the seat support. Some one already glued these up at some point in time and it feels sound ... moreand solid with all the joints feeling tight. There is a groove about 1/2" below the end of the center support. I've often seen a piece of copper wire wrapped around at that spot to make sure the crack never opens up again. Finish to the oak has really darkened over the years. I am going to remove the 4 screws that hold the iron to the bottom of the seat to hold the box size down for shipping. I have up for sale a really nice vintage original circa late 1890s to early 1900s Holtzman& Sons- Columbus. Ohio Oak Piano Stool. The spins on a screw,making the seats height either raise or lower depending on the direction you spin it. This particular style is much harder to find than the more common glass ball and claw foot examples. It personally is more appealing to my tastes. Maybe yours as well. This is just a great looking piece- all original. And in mighty fine shape. There is some normal minor light wear but overall its in great shape. It is solid and sturdy, not made for a mountain of a man but it will hold up for most folks. The seat is approx 14-1/2" in diameter and with the seat at its lowest point,it stands approx 19-1/4" tall. The screw spins smoothly and easily. the approximate weight is 15 lbs as it sits. The ... morefinish is Excellent. Nice warm patina, some wear on the seat but nothing serious. As noted in the condition report above, one half round/half ball is missing from the seats beaded edge, two other half balls have minor imperfections- one appears to have been glued back on and there is some remnants of the glue residue. The feet have some minor nicking from use, once again nothing serious. I will package with great care and ship fully insured. Antique Thomas Organ Stool Metal Claw Feet Thomas Woodstock
Antique Thomas co. wood and metal claw foot organ stool. Original finish patina though you might want to refinish depending on your preference. Has metal claw feet and glass or crystal balls. Not to sure on the age, have not done enough research on it, it measures 24 1/2" at it's highest point and 20" at it's lowest point, seat is 14 1/8" across, glass balls have some light chips on them, though not bad and gives this stool a great decoration in your home. ANTIQUE ADJUSTABLE VICTORIAN PIANO ORGAN STOOL w/ CAST IRON CLAW FEET
This is an antique adjustable Victorian organ or piano stool with cast iron claw feet. The seat measures aprox. 14 1/2" in diameter and is adjustable in height from 18 1/2" to 23" It has been recently refinished and is in good condition. Not exactly sure what type of wood it is made from. It appears to have originally had a mahogany finish, it is possibly maple or mahogany. It is available for pickup or can be delivered by Fed Ex ground for 16.80 including insurance. We will do our best to combine lots to save on shipping costs.
