Antique footstool w needlepoint top. There is damage to the needlepoint on the four corners- possibly from a cat scratching it- but the center portion is fine. Footstool itself is walnut wood. To the best of my knowledge- shows a few scratches that would probably polish out. Very sturdy piece. $16.50 postage. There are some scuff marks on the legs and one leg has a couple of"chips" out of it on the inside of the leg.

Small Needlepoint Top Mahogany Footstool with Angled Legs Great little footstool for your buying consideration. Recently picked it up at an auction. Beautifully done piece. No makers mark that I can ascertain. What is really unique about the stool how the legs are angled inward. Anyone out there that can share the significance of that design? Your identity will be kept anonymous. The top is done in needlepoint and still appears to be in good shape. Not coming apart anywhere. Nice petal design and use of colors. Little dusty and musty smelling when I got it that a good airing or treating should address. A piece of lace is tacked around the border where the top meets the stool body. Up for auction is a lovely vintage footstool with a floral needlepoint cushion. This is a great piece. An excellent addition to any home. The footstool measures approximately 14 1/4 x 14 1/4 x 9" This is a sturdy little stool. The wood base is solid. There are signs of past use on this stool, including scratches and scrapes on the wood portion, and some slight staining on the top. I didn't try to clean the top portion at all, so the stains may be able to be lightened or removed with a careful cleaning. In addition, one side of the top is a bit loose from the base. Antique VICTORIAN Style NEEDLEPOINT FOOTSTOOL with METAL LEGS - Early 1900s
Up for auction is a Victorian style footstool with metal legs. I believe it was made around the turn of the 20th century. This would make a great restoration project. As the pictures show. The needlepoint, wood, and metal all have signs of wear. A section of the needlepoint cover is depressed downwards. The metal legs are screwed on. One of the is slightly wobbly because a screw hole is too far away from the leg bracket. That would be an easy fix to make the leg tight. The diameter of the round wooden base is 11 1/2 inches. With the legs included. It measures 14 1/2 inches across. The stool is about 9 inches high. I am not an expert on this item. So please ask questions and I'll be happy to answer them for you. Antique Footstool Burgundy Needlepoint Cover Early 20th C Colonial Revival
This footstool is 14" x 9" and stands 8" high. It is a mix of styles with Queen Anne legs and also carved borders with a fancy leaf design on each side. The top is covered with a very familiar piece- a hand done needlepoint with a burgundy background and a floral pattern. Very traditional. Very pretty and most of all, very useful for putting your feet up when you're sitting in your favorite chair. I got this piece from an estate and they told me it had belonged to their grandparents. So I can only assume this is from the Colonial Revival period of the 1920s-40s, or about 70 years old. I am not sure if this is the original cover. The top comes off by loosening 4 screws, and you can peek under the fabric. You can also easily recover it with a different fabric, it's very easy with a staple gun. This antique Victorian needlepoint footstool. Made by Forbes& Wallace, shows an image of a little girl in a field with her bunny. Forbes& Wallace opened their business in 1873 in Springfield, Ma. I am not certain of the date of this footstool, but it could definitely be traced back to the early 1900's. Stool has gold painted cast iron legs and a round wooden base. The wood base has scratches around the edge, but stool could easily be touched up! Identical footstool without needlepoint is also available for purchase! Dimensions: 10 1/2" round x 6 1/2" tall.

Very sweet with a pussy cat motif. It measures 13 1/4" long by 9 1/2" deep and 7 3/4" from the floor to the top of the stool. The motif is one of a pussycat lying in the middle surrounded by roses and flora. My camera makes everything look like it is under a microscope and a bit hazy. The wood is darker and more vivid when one views it. As well as the needlepoint. See last picture. I only showed the one side that had the separation. The other long side only has an opening of approx. one inch or less. I showed the worst part and it really is not terrible.but have to mention and have to do it. The condition is as stated under the condition ... morereport on the front of the auction.all structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing. The only thing. As I said before, is that the edges on the stool(2 edges) have a separation in the needlepoint and have to either be glued down with sew glue that works great and drys invisable, or a couple hand stitches. I would prefer the glue, however a purist might take my head for that! REMEMBER THIS STOOL IS VERY VERY OLD. I truly believe it is late 1700s, especially from the handcarved wood and aged patina. Beautiful. Victorian era, small, round lady's antique cast iron and wood footstool. The three cast iron legs and the edge of the solid wood base have been painted an egg-shell white/cream. Paint has chipped off in spots, adding to the character and age of the piece. The top is a beautiful needlepoint pastoral scene of girl on a bench next to a pitcher with a cherub; background is deep red orange. It may be the original, partial original, or a replacement cover. If original or partially original, it is in stunningly mint condition. If a replacement, it looks very authentic to the piece. This stool was made pre-1940 in that the screws used in construction underneath are not Phillip's screws but the single slot screws. The tapistry background is dark blue with a beautiful hand stitched floral design. i am not an expert on furniture but I believe the legs are what is referred to as a Queen Ann style. There are a couple of minor scratches to the wood finish but overall condition is very good. much prettier in person! Antique Needlepoint Foot Stool - Carved Legs - Black Flower Top - Footstool
What a lovely footstool! It measures 16 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 9 inches. The needlepoint top features a lovely floral scene on a black ground. There is some wear to the needlepoint- some small holes here and there- see photo 9. The stuffing in the top has compacted a bit so the top curves in a bit- it just needs a little extra stuffing to bring it back up again. The base has been glued in places- see the last two photos but overall and there is a chip or two to the wood but overall. This antique footstool has a beautiful look- it's a great old piece!

Up for auction is a antique needlepoint covered footstool. The footstool has a nice wooden base with nice lines around the perimeter and scroll work on the legs. The stool has unusual paw type feet. The finish on the wood appears to be original. The needlework portion of the footstool does have some wear spot that have material missing(see pictures) I suppose these could be sewn back in if one knew how.
