The carving on this piece is exquisite. The details are absolutely amazing, and the photos do not do it justice. The wood on the back of the bench is unfortunately splitting in a few places, with several vertical splits and one or two horizontal splits towards the top. It is structurally sound, however. The needlepoint upholstered, handmade seat is in good condition, with no holes or tears in the fabric, but it is a little faded from age, and does need to be cleaned and dusted. The bench seat opens for storage, and the key for the lock is present and included. The lock works well.

Antique Salvaged Completed Piano Bench Needlepoint Petit Point Piece
This is such a beautiful needlepoint tapestry! I rescued this from a local estate just because I can really appreciate these old needlepoints and how much work is involved in creating them. I really feel that despite the tear on one side. Much of the piece is still salvageable and would look fantastic framed. The entire pieces measures 37" wide x 17 1/2" tall. The tear on the side is approximately 6 inches long. The flowers and some of the surrounding area inside the flowers is done in petit point, while the rest of the piece was finished in a larger stitch. BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE WALNUT SEAT BENCH W/NEEDLEPOINT
This is a beautiful antique walnut seat bench. It has been in my family since 1890. The needlepoint was put on originally in 1938. But was removed, cleaned and put back on in 1975. The bench is 18 1/2" long, 7 3/4" deep and is 14 1/4" tall. For the last 55 years it has been in my Vermont house. The shipping charge includes postage. Insurance, tracking and packaging.
