Here we have a wonderful ~ ART DECO FIGURAL GREYHOUND DOG MOTIF BENCH ~ This is an original from the 1920's- 1930's era. It is a very nice quality. And looks to be bronze plating over cast iron. It is exceptionally sturdy, quite heavy, and very well made. The bench measures 36 inches long by 13 inches deep and stands 19 inches tall. It has a fabulous Art Deco motif, with the stretched and relaxed, greyhound dogs on each end. It is not all that often you find nice and original Art Deco period benches, and this one is much nicer than most. The over all condition is very good with the exception that it will need to be reupholstered with the fabric of your choice. It still has the old mohair fabric seat. It would be such and easy job to recover and very nice that you get to choose the design of the fabric you like. 10' Long Industrial style table with cast iron legs and antique carpenters bench
Just got done with this piece. The top is very old. It came out of a carpenters shop in Lancaster county Pa, it has alot of wear marks, saw marks, screw holes etc on it. I stained and glazed it to complement the legs, and added some huge bolts to the top to give it some(more) visual interest. The legs are gorgeous. They were in a patternmakers shop that had been in business since the 1920's. And held up workbenches there. The top is 10' long. 32" wide, and 32.5" tall. Can easily be raised taller by adding stretchers on top of the legs if you wanted it at island height, say. More pics can be found at theretrofactory.com. Antique Yolk Bench Pipe Vise FE MYERS & BRO ASHLAND Combination Combo Cast Iron
This is an item which I believe is a pipe vise. The name on the top part is FE MYERS& BRO 708 while the bottom part is marked 704 ASHLAND. The base measures 10 ¾ inches long. The two flat metal pieces need a bolt to hold them in place. The end with the handle on it turns until the point fits into the indent on the top piece. There are also two bolt holes so this could be anchored to a table. This is a solid heavy piece probably from the 1920’s to 1930’s or before.
