Antique Heywood Wakefield Cast Iron Theatre Seats Bench Table Legs Deco
This is a pair of seat ends meant to be mounted on a flat surface.not the pitched bases as seen often. These could be remade into a great folding seat bench with the center divider or used for super table ends. I believe with some"orange" stripper you could get to the original theatre red paint. They stand 23" high and are 10" at the widest point.

This is an old Praying Bench we acquired from an estate sale. Bench is cast iron. Material is not original as we found red velvet material underneath a seam on the back. Bench has some wear to the paint due to age. No broken pieces. Considering it's age. The cast iron is in perfect condition. Measures approximately 42" long, 30" tall and 17" wide. Offered is an antique cast iron& bent ply wood theater seat. All original, early model in-line bench type. Seven chairs are available. They were reclaimed from an old building that was being demolished. and completely disassembled for storing, they will be partially re-assembled for easier assembly. 32" high x 24 1/2" deep( 18 1/2" when seat is tilted up) x 23" wide. Weighs 30 lbs. each. The cast iron frame is in very good condition. Having no breaks, cracks, or chips, however the bent ply wood material may need some restoration. This is an excellent. Heavy duty antique cast iron upholstered vanity bench marked"Pat Appl'd for, W.H. Howell Co. Geneva Ill" on all four legs, and the feet are numbered, but only two of them are readable; one is numbered 5 and the other is numbered 6. The decorative crests on the front and back are marked"Pat Appl'd For" both numbered 930-8, one with the number 1 underneath and the other with the number 5. It is very well built with a rectangular cast iron frame under the cloth-covered wooden seat(the legs attach to the rectangular frame and the frame is screwed to the seat. The seat has a separate matching cushion that sits on top. The upholstery on the bench and the cushion are very old. But I don't know if they are original to the piece. It is a faded avocado green, especially faded around the edges where ... moreit has become almost tan instead of green, but there are no holes, tears, loose fabric, or threadbare spots. The gold finish on the frame and legs has been re-painted and has some scuffs and light wear. The overall dimensions of the bench are 24" L x 13" W x 18" H. The legs will be removed so it can be shipped flat. And partial reassembly will be required. It will be packed very well and insured during shipping.

There used to be wood slats that went across and a support rod in bottom center. it is a small project but worth taking on. pick up a rod at home depot and some wood slats and attach an you have a super cool cast iron garden table. I purchased at an antique show. Not sure when this was exactly made. I imagine it has good age especially due to the fact that the original wood seat slats did not make it. I would guess it dates to sometime between the 30's and 50's? maybe earlier. the 20's?
