ANTIQUE UHL TOLEDO INDUSTRIAL STOOL CHAIR COPPER FLASH FINISH ARTS & CRAFTS
Here's a very early. Top of the line Uhl Toledo industrial stool chair. The seat measures about 18 1/2" tall when screwed all the way down and about 23 1/2" tall, all the way up. The seat is round with a metal skirt that wraps over the edge of the wood like the old ice cream parlor chairs. The back is a larger and different in shape, then all of the other Toledo stools that you see. It has the"copper oxide flash" finish that was popular in the Arts& Crafts/Craftsman era. It's on wheels that are original and in great condition. Now for the flaws. It has 2 very small chips in the veneer on the back, the seat shows slight wear and the metal seat edge has been worn shinny mainly in the front and on top of the legs. Also there is a thumb screw that tightens up on the height shaft so you can swivel in place without ... moregoing up and down. The hole for this thumb screw is stripped out. It will look even better with a good cleaning. I have had several(and seen tons) of these Toledo stools and this one is by far the best and oldest one I've ever seen. Vintage industrial steel and wooden stool. It has a round wooden adjustable seat and a base that flairs out at the feet. There is a metal tag on the seat marked Goodyear with the number 159713. I am unsure if this was the marker but I cannot find another stool like it with that name. The piece is in good overall condition. Measures 25 1/4" tall and has a 15 1/8" diameter seat. Please be aware that it is a bit heavy at 21 lbs. unpacked.

This antique stool is fresh out of the woodwork and really has the look. I found it in an attic and it belonged to the mans grandfather who was a draftsman. Cast iron with oak seat and back. Mounted on an old shipping box and looks like its been on it forever. I think the coolest thing is the cover. Its nice and worn but very solid and not damaged. It has cool brass eyelets on sides. I peeked under it and the oak seat looks like new under it. Looks like the cover has been on this stool since it was made. I have seen stools like this before but never with a cover on it. There is no damage to the piece at all. No cracks or repairs to wood or cast iron. It swivels and is adjustable. As it stands it is 41" high not counting the base. Vintage antique BKL Elliott Industrial adjustable drafting stool Toledo style
For sale is an awesome vintage antique? industrial drafting stool that was made by the BKL Elliott Company out of Pittsburgh and Cincinatti. To my way of viewing it is almost exactly(if not exactly) like the Toledo UHL type of stools that were made during this period. It measures about 34 inches tall when seat is put up as far as it will go and about 25 inches tall when down as far as it will go(number of notches it can be placed between these two dimensions) The seat is raised and lowered by using a ratchet type of mechanism that is in good working order. When it is squeezed it pulls the pin out and allows the seat to go up and down. When released it locks the position in place. The stool is about 18 inches wide at widest part. It has an awesome hardwood seat and has the original padded vinyl seat cover that can go over it. Seat cover is ... morein fair to good condition but it does have some small rips and discoloration in the vinyl. The seat is in great shape but does show some places where the seams of the wood pieces are coming apart along the edges(see pictures) It is very minor and does not interfere with the overall look or function of piece but include as a matter of accuracy of description. The item is very substantial in weight. Weighing about pounds. The metal still retains some of the original green paint(some pictures make it look like it is black but it is actually a deep green) but does have some loss of paint and minor rust. Again I think it is not a flaw but adds to the original vintage look that would be expected of something of this vintage. This is an awesome all totally original industrial stool that would make a great bar stool or extra seating in any room that you place it in. It will give your home instant vintage industrial charm. VERY COOL ANTIQUE VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL GENOTHALMIC STOOL MEDICAL/SHOP/GARAGE
Here's a very old industrial stool. It's marked GENOTHALMIC. It was originally made as an Optician's examin ation stool. However it' s got that great old industrial look to it. And would look great in many different applications. The seat and base measure 13" across. It stands about 20" all the way down and about 30" all the way up. To adjust the height, you just lift up on the seat, and to lower it, you lift the lever and it drops down. To lock it at one height, you screw in the knurled bolt. It has the original oil cloth cover on the seat. The seat has a few small spots worn thru, the pedestal portion has been re-painted and the nickle plating on the bottom of the base is almost all worn off. Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE This is a really great example of beautifully hand-crafted furniture. The attractive curved 4-leg configuration is very stable and still in excellent shape. It was obviously designed to stand up to a heavy workload. But the stool has seen its share of use over the years. There are small saw marks in a couple places on the seat edge. The seat has apparently come loose at some time in the past and been reattached with L-brackets. Although this may not be original, it is very sturdy. The foot ring does have a split in it. These things can be observed in the photos. The chair could be restored by a skilled woodworker. Approximately 28” tall x 15” square. Please examine the photos closely and email any questions.
