A stunning black forest oak carved hall/foyer bench or monk's seat in superb condition for the age. We believe this to be from the mid 1800's most likely close to the 1860's. I am unsure if there is a piece that is supposed to attach to the back of this piece or not as there are no signs of where a back would attach. The piece measures as follows: 54" wide x 23.5" depth at corners 22.5" depth at center 22.25" height. This piece displays superb craftsmanship throughout the various carved areas. The front corners each have a nude winged maiden facing outward. The top edge is carved all the way around in one design and the bottom edge in another. The front has two carved sections flanking a carved lion head with ornate leaf/wreath/ floral accents providing a circular frame for the head. Made of beautiful sturdy tiger oak. Measures 75 inches tall, 26 inches across the widest part of the mirror. The mirror itself is 19 1/2 inches in diameter. The bench is 18 inches tall and 25 1/2 inches across. The bench raises up to reveal a storage area. For your consideration is this Very Nice Antique Oak Entry Hall Tree. I have been told it dates back to the late 1800s. But i am not sure, could be the early 1900s?There are no markings on it that i can see. The Hall Tree is in excellent condition, is very solid, and has a nice aged Patina look. It is about 82-3/4" tall, 24 to 26" wide(at different levels) and 15" deep. The Beveled Mirror is about 17 1/4" wide and 35" high and in very good condition for its age. There are 6 Coat, Cap Hooks, the two on top are Butterfly Hooks( unusual& rare) see picture 5, I have never seen these before or after we got this one) I don't know if they were on the Hall Tree from day one or if someone added them later, they are old and they compliment the attractive decorative carvings on top, plus they do match the cutout pattern ... moreabove the seat perfectly.see picture 3) The Bench Seat has storage space under the lid. Estate ~ Antique Fancy Iron Bench 48" Sturdy, Beautiful for Bedroom or Hall
Beautiful antique bench measuring approx. 4 feet wide(48" x 13" on the widest portion of the seat cushion x 17" high. This bench weighs 29.2 pounds as you see it here so it is very sturdy. The base/leg& support part of the bench is iron. Painted with the original old gold coloring. The seat is shaped like a bean shape curving slightly to give this a quality look. The fabric is clean and attractive it could be original I am not sure. The seat is a solid piece of wood underneath the covering. Take a look at the fancy metal work on this piece dating to the late 1800's thru 1920's would be my best guess. Antique Tiger Oak Hall Bench/ Deacon's Bench From my Grandparent's home in Western Pennsylvania Needs some TLC Exact age and style unknown. Estimated to be 1920s. The bench is made from both solid wood and wood veneers. I refinished this bench in the 1990s. However my work to repair chips in the veneers is poorly matched. More veneer chips have occurred since refinishing. Please see the many photos. I painted the interior of the bench(under the seat lid) to make it easier to see my children's hats and gloves. Which we stored there in the winter months. The bench measures about 41 inches wide x 16 inches deep x 39 inches height. My auctions come from a non-smoking home. I believe it used to have a mirror on the back and think the back left piece of wood on top has been replaced. It has had some repairs over time and someone has added some carving to the edges that was likely missing as shown. It would be a great piece to put at the end of a king size bed because of the size. This wonderful vintage hall tree was made in the late 1800's. It is made of oak. There is a hidden storage compartment under the seat which can be accessed through a door in the seat. Bench only. No mirror. Has been restored. The dimensions are 49 inches high, 31 inches from the top of the seat to the top, 37 inches wide, and 17 inches deep. It is in excellent condition.

Antique hall bench claw & ball feet Chippendale-style Victorian charm
Classic bench with Victorian styling would make a great accent piece in a hall or living area. The bench is in the Chippendale-style and has four claw and ball feet and a leaf embellishment along the top. The legs are sturdy and stable. The seat has been partially reupholstered in this estate sale find. And the seat has apparently been re-stuffed, too. It is comfortable and there are no lumps or uneven places. There is a 17 1/2 inch rise to the seat. And the legs are 15 inches long. The seat is 41 1/2 inches by 18 inches. Weighs 32 pounds. This bench has expected wear. Antique Early 1900's Tiger Oak Hall Tree w/hinged Bench Seat Beveled Mirror
Check out our other furniture items on auction now. Up for auction is this beautiful Tiger oak hall tree with hinged seat. It has two four prong hooks and two. Two prong hooks. All are brass. The round beveled mirror measures 19" across and has some very minor flaws as expected in a piece of this age, mirror appears to be original. We believe this hall tree to be early 1900's. Hall tree measures approx. 76" tall, 18" deep and 38" across at the widest point. Very nice carvings as seen in the pictures. Arms does show wear in the finish, as seen in the photos.
