The glass balls on the feet are free of anh cracks and chips. The stool has had the seat reglued and overall refinished at some point in its past and surfaces have a smooth sealed finish. There is a color variation on the base of the stool. Almost looks like shadowing in the finish, not sure what it is but it does look nice. I took lots of pictures of different sides so you can see. I have wiped the stool down and given it a hand rubbed wax finish, so it is ready to use. This item is estate fresh and ready for a new home. The seat has been newly recovered with a supple piece of goatskin hide, tanned and finished in a tobbacco brown color. The stool being almost 150 years old does have some paint chips, scratches and wear, all adding to the item's wonderful character. The only minor flaw would be a chip in the seat collar at the top of the column(see photo#4) it can only be seen when the seat is removed but I just wanted to mention it. This piano stool is gorgeous! It is made of a dark wood. Possibly mahogany. Swivels very smoothly. Lowest height is 19" and adjusts up to 24" tall. Solid and beautiful. At the end of all 4 turned wood legs there are beautiful brass feet with each holding a clear glass or crystal orb ball. Balls have a lot of air bubbles in them. Victorian adjustable piano/organ stool with iron claw feet holding glass balls
Diameter of the top of the seat is about 15 inches across. Height of the stool at its lowest is about 19 and 3/4ths inches. And about 24 and 1/2 inches at its tallest, with the seat spinning easily. We had the seat recovered with heavy weight dark red velvet, and it was refinished before we bought it, with the finish left without any varnish or lacquer. The centers of the legs photograph lighter than they actually are.

Antique Victorian Heavy wood Piano Stool adjustable seat Claw glass ball Feet Description: this stool weighs somewhere around 17 lbs unpacked. It is heavy. it has the dings and scrapes of 100 years or so of normal use, but seems very sturdy. from the underneath you can see a crack across 1 disc, i have not tried to repair, and it seems an old crack and shouldnt affect use. can be raised or lowered.highest is about 20.5' tall, that is the point at which i saw a thread begin.lowest about 18.5" tall.seat is 14.5" across. i think there is a newer nail in one of the claw feet, see pic.as for shipping i dont have a box yet so am estimating about 75.00 to west coast, about 30.00 east coast and somewhere between the 2 for everywhere else. please wait for an invoice at the end of the auction so i can determine exact shipping.

The antique varnish has crazed up putting this stool well over 100 years old. It is still sturdy and usable. This listing is for an OLD WOODEN MINIATURE PIANO STOOL. It is not marked. So I am not sure of the maker. I saw a couple on ebay, and they didn't seem to know much either. It looks handmade to me. The spindles look a little off center. But it was made that way. I think it is made of Walnut. It measures approx. 6 1/4" h and adjusts to 7" h x 5" w. The round seat adjusts up and down. Age is late 1800's to early 1900's. 19 1/2" fully down-24 1/2" fully up to where the threads come undone so about 23" of safe usable height. Seat is 14 1/4" diameter and dished in the middle for comfort. Signed Schuermann Washington NJ. Leg spread is 14" across the closest feet. 18 1/2" across the farthest. Glass/crystal balls have air bubbles and in good shape. Threads in the iron mounting mechanism look good and are not worn out and it adjusts nicely. Wood is probably oak. Joints are tight. Some shallow drying cracks. Seat has various colored woods but looks original. You can feel the joint where the wood changes color o the seat but it seems solid enough. I am going to remove the 4 screws that hold the iron to the bottom of the seat to hold the box size down for shipping. This is a beautiful vintage wood piano stool by Chas Parker. It has light blue glass. Ball and claw feet. Two of the glass balls are completely round and the other two have a flat spot from wear. The seat is very smooth but does have a crack where the wood separated but not loose at all. There are small scratches and dings which you would expect because of age. Center bottom may have had a finial on it at one time. Bottom plate on seat is marked with a diamond shaped logo with a piano stool in the middle of it and the wording stamped below it"Trademark" and the numbers"47878" One of the legs is stamped on the underside with the numbers. 77729 C" and the letters"HB" Fabric is also in good condition with no holes, stains or odor. Age is 1910's to 1920's when putting the dark finish/stain on oak and mahogany was popular. 18 1/2" fully down-24" fully up to where the threads come undone so about 23" of safe usable height. Seat is 14 1/2" diameter and dished in the middle for comfort. Signed The Chas Parker Co Meriden Ct. Leg spread is 13" across the closest feet. 17 1/2" across the farthest. Glass/crystal balls are loaded with air bubbles and in good shape. Threads in the iron mounting mechanism look good and are not worn out and it adjusts nicely. Wood could be oak,mahogany or walnut. The old dark varnish was put on it many years ago and i just can't tell but where it was worn it looks like oak. A joint or two are slightly loose but not enough to pop anything apart and do any gluing. You can see the joint seams in the top and ... moreunderside of the seat but they are actually made in 2 layers with the joints running 90 degrees apart so the seat is still strong. I also see some short cracks to the bottom part of the stool at the very top where the seat frame connects but everything feels tight. I am going to remove the 4 screws that hold the iron to the bottom of the seat to hold the box size down for shipping. This a beautiful piano/organ adjustable seat stool. Victorian in style with lots of ornate scroll work on the legs. Stem and horizontal supports. The seat is worn in with most of the nice grain showing through what was once a black seat. The seat is thick and wide(no cracks) with a 14 inch diameter. Its adjustable from a low seat of 18 inches off the floor to a high of 24 inches. This stool is very stable with the eagle claw glass feet a wide 15 inches square. The seat has a gorgeous leaf scrolling all around the perimeter, but its pretty worn and you have to look close to see the intricate detail. The feet are awesome with a full 3 inches of feather pattern in brass rising up from each claw. Age estimated to be around 1900. A very nice useable antique piece!

VINTAGE WOOD PIANO STOOL ADJUSTABLE CLAW FOOT AND BALL Cast Iron Hard Wood
This old piano stool spins around to raise seat level. There are cast iron claws holding glass ball feet. The wood is hard wood cherry? I think. But I'm not sure. This chair has a glue spot. Someone had tried to glue bottom support together. Seems sturdy to sit on. Needs some attention on cleaning/finishing. Great little stool!

Vintage Antique Signed Piano Stool Adjustable Height Claw Foot Chicago New York
For your consideration is this great looking"TONK" piano stool. The stool features its original finish. That has the alligator texture that happens over time. It has age appropriate wear and an overall very nice vintage look. The wood seat is 14" in diameter and adjust from 16 3/4" 22 1/2"+ tall. The higher the seat the more wobble it has as the thread runs out. This is the norm for this type of mechanism. The decorative claw feet have wonderful hand blown glass balls in their clutch. The glass is in great shape with no chips or cracks and show where they were clipped from the manufacturing process. The stool is sturdy with finish chips and scratches. All adding to the great character of this early industrial stool. The cast iron, claw feet and worn wooden seat has been given a coat of furniture wax. Up for auction we have an Antique 1880's Eastlake Grollman Manufacturing Co. Chicago Swivel Adjustable Piano Organ Stool. This one is a beauty! I believe it has its original straw or horse hair stuffing. There is Tan& Brown strip plush fabric with Brown colored upholstery tacks on rectangle wood top. I’m not sure if the fabric is original or not. Line grooves going around the wooden sides. 3 ornate carved legs with round appliques on all the sides(one has a crack see pic) There is detailed carvings along with spindles on each leg. The wood I believe is Oak and is in BEAUTIFUL condition. With very minimal wear! Metal swivel base plate reads: GROLLMAN MFG CO CHICAGO. The bottom has the original fabric that is weaved for bottom strength. There is one missing wooden finial that appears at the top of each leg under the seat.
