4 Vintage 2 black & 2 clear glass with bronze door knobs
Up for bid are two pair of vintage door knobs(two pair. Thus four knobs) Of the pair of clear glass ones, the glass looks like it is just starting to turn purple) on one I could not see or feel any dings, on the other glass knob the only thing I found was one of the edges running from the brass to the flat surface had some surface damage, not deep and I think it could be fixed and looking further it had a few rough edges, these too could be buffed(not sure if that's the correct way) out. The brass needs some old paint chipped off and a good cleaning. The second pair looks like black glass and the metal part does not look like bronze but some kind of metal with some rust and what looks like original black paint. Lot of 17 Antique Glass Door Knobs This assorted set of 17 glass door knobs includes 16 matching knobs and one oddball. The matching knobs measure 2" in diameter across the top and 2.5" in total length. The odd knob is just a bit bigger and measures 2.25" in diameter and 2-6/8" in length. They are in good. Pre-owned condition- some have paint on them and a few show slight yellowing. A few come with mounting hardware but the majority of them do not. The building was definitely not built yesterday but I don't know when it was built. It is a 7 story building, so that must say something about the year. They are not exact matches, one has brass on the pieces that hold the knob, they other i don't believe is brass. together with the shaft they measure 6" long. the knobs themselves are approx 2 1/4" round. as you can see in the pictures, they need a really good cleaning, and one of the knobs has cracking in it, still solid and smooth to the touch, but you can see the cracks. do not have all the screws they need, and don't have the plates. as is. heavy- together weighing almost 2 pounds, so too heavy to be shipped first class. * RARE 16 MATCHING ANTIQUE VINTAGE OLD GLASS DOOR KNOBS 8 SETS HARDWARE CRAFTS
This is a lot of 16(8 sets) rare vintage glass door knobs. Some of them have a slight variance in color. Patina, or design but are very close to matching. They show only minor wear consistent with their age(scuffs, etc. They are a beautiful classic design and come with all of their screws.
