They are made for heavy doors with huge mounting plates that can accomodate a door between about 1 1/2" up to 2 3/4" thick. I have most of the original bolts, but a few are bent. One Pair of Early Antique Barn Door Rollers - Architectural Element - Hardware
This listing is for one pair of early antique barn door rollers recovered from a carriage house in Baltimore. MD. The photos show two pair. The listing is for the remaining pair of rollers- the pair with the spoked wheels. They are in excellent working order with wheels that spin freely and no chips or cracks. The mounting plates measure 9" X 4" with 2" diameter wheels. The pieces measure aproximately 12" in overall length. They are made for heavy doors with huge mounting plates that can accomodate a door between about 1 1/2" up to 2 3/4" thick. I have most of the original bolts, but a few are bent. Norvell-Shapleigh Hardware Company barn door rollers hangers and track
Up for sale is a set of three ornate Norvell Shapleigh barn door hangers complete with 24' of track. The three hangers are in good usable condition with no bends. Breaks or chips. The rollers turn freely. The pins and cotter keys that hold the roller to the hanger does not show excessive wear. Each hanger has 3 holes that a 3/8" bolt is very tight to push through. The rollers are 10" tall, 5-1/2" wide and 2-1/4" thick. There are 12 pieces of track, 11 of which measure 24" and one which has been cut to 22" The diameter is 1-1/8" There are 11 couplers and 2 end caps to hang the track. All are in good usable condition. These were recently removed from a Central Texas barn and have rust, but are in working condition without need of repairs. Description. Vintage ALLITH-PROUTY COMPANY RELIABLE HANGER for the old style barn/shed sliding doors. This is a heavy weight cast iron construction. Patented NOV 19th. 1901 and DEC 8th, 1903. This was classified as No. 2 size. Made in Danville, Ill. The embossed letters of cast information is excellent. Both rollers are perfect and roll freely. No chips on the edges of the rollers as often found. No cracks, breaks, or repairs anywhere. I did not touch these in regards to cleaning or buffing them. ~ 2 VINTAGE NATIONAL BARN DOOR ROLLERS / HANGERS ~ BIG 4 ~ ANTIQUE FARM HARDWARE
Offered are two. Never-used"Big 4" barn door rollers made by National Manufacturing of Sterling, Illinois. To be clear, these are not 100-year old antiques, and are likely of late 20th century manufacture. Each roller is about 10 inches long and 5-3/4 inches wide at the horseshoe-shaped part. The pulleys themselves are about 3-1/4 inch. These are pretty heavy-duty hangers and each weighs about 3-1/2 pounds. While the rollers were never used. They do have considerable paint loss and light corrosion in those areas. There is no damage or deformation anywhere in the metal. They are as perfectly functional as the day they were made. They'd be simple to spray paint whatever color you liked. I didn't touch them up in case this was the look someone wanted. I've posted lots of pictures so you can look them over. Antique Vintage 3 Door Rollers Cannon Ball National Barn Hardware Rustic Decor
Up for bid is a variety pack of three(3) Barn Door Rollers. These industrial rural rollers are items I found together so decided not to look for the mates. But to offer them for sale. All three turn freely. Need cleaning and or oiling, and are quite different. First is a cannon ball type roller. This item is about 7" long. 1 3/4" wide and weighs around 1 1/2 pounds. Wheels are about 1 3/8" across(contact me if you need more precise measurements) This set is rusty with that rustic look. Has just part of the mounting hardware attached(see pictures) No chips or cracks. Second is a piece with a bit more mounting hardware attached. Wheel portion is about 7 1/8" long and 1" wide. Whole mechanism weighs around 3 pounds 6 ounces. The wheels are about 1/4" wide. Has part that attaches to the door portion as well as three ... morebolts(did not try to unscrew them) Looks like a horseshoe type roller assembly. rusty but solid. The third is a tandem type roller made by" NATIONAL" Has partial hardware on the roller and a single bolt for door attachment(will need at least a nut for this) About 4 1/2" long and 1 3/8" wide(just roller portion) The whole thing weighs around 1 pound 6 ounces The bolt is about 6" long. This is a pair of antique Barn door track hangers or rollers that measure about 8-3/4" long or tall or so and are about 7-3/4" across the widest place. The wheels measure about 3/8" thick or so. They are both marked but it is very faint. And I had to put my reading glasses on, and have a magnifying glass to read this: Patent or something, 1915, or I think that is what I read. It is very faint. They both are of course are rusty, and both have a little red paint on them. They both turn very freely. These rollers come apart into two pieces, as on eof the pictures will show.
