Vintage NOS Sargent Brass Exterior Deadbolt Entry Door Lockset Knobs Plates Lock
Penn Antique Restoration. Vintage NOS Sargent Brass Door Set w/Knobs. Plates, Lock. Heavy-duty. Vintage, entry door lockset made by"Sargent" of New Haven, CT during the second half of the previous century. It consists of 2 brass knobs, 2 brass escutcheons, 1 steel mortise lock with a brass faceplate, 1 brass anti-theft collar, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, 1 steel split spindle with a setscrew for connecting the knobs, and all 12 installation screws to fasten all parts to the door. All brass parts are solid brass, not plated steel. This is a high-quality, commercial-grade lockset. This set is"New Old Stock" which means that it was made a long time ago but was never used. We found it in it's original box(see 3rd photo) There was no mortise cylinder included with the set. This is the round. Barrel-like piece ... morethat goes into the lock, above the knob on the exterior side, and engages the lock once a key is inserted into it and turned. You could pick one up, brand new, with 2 keys at your local locksmith or hardware store for less than $20. The lock is reversible and could accommodate the swing of either a left or right swing door. The mortise lock is locked by pushing the top button on the faceplate. And unlocked by either pushing the bottom button or using a key. Once locked, the door could only be opened by turning the knob on the interior side of the door, or by using the key on the exterior side of the door. This is a very convenient feature for the person inside of the room. No more locking and unlocking to let someone in. Simply turn the knob, open the door, let someone in, close the door and it's already locked. To disable the auto-lock feature, simply push the bottom button. All parts are in excellent condition. There are only tiny nicks and light scuffs here and there most likely caused by the parts shuffling around and bumping into each other inside of the box. We opened. Gorgeous brass door knob and back plate set…and two complete sets! Only missing a few set screws. Fabulous back plates with has scrolled elements at the top. Bottom, and both sides. These elegant knobs have a matching scrolled pattern around a central oval button. I started polishing one set intending to install it in 2004. But we moved before I had a chance to finish and get them installed. The back plate is all brass, but has polishing compound that I did not clean up. It will all polish up to a beautiful brass patina. My plan was to find a set for each of our doors. And I had actually found a similar oval set that I am listing…please see my other listings. 57 piece lot of antique door hardware. I removed them from my home when we replaced our doors. Some have a bit of paint in them(a couple of the strike plates have a lot of paint on them) The face of one of the locks has come off(it looks like the internal tabs were cut off) Lot includes 20 rosettes. 11 key holes, 10 knobs, 8 lock assemblies(one lock assembly is in 2 pieces) 6 strike plates and 2 bolt knobs.

Nice mid century door knobs in excellent condition marked Weiser. These are self-locking. You push knob in to look(next to last picture) and turn pull out to unlock(last picture) They will fit any standard door. Each know measures 2-7/8 from plate to top of knob, assembly from end to end is 7-5/8" long. It is complete and ready to install. Could use a little cleaning but, lucite is in great condition, no damages. Gold plates are in great condition as well. Minor paint splashes can be removed easily. Vintage glass door knobs with rod...pair
I have a pair of simple. Yet elegant, vintage"glass" door knobs. There is a bar connecting them. There are no chips or scratches in the glass and each knob has a screw that appears to be original. I have no idea the age of these pretty little knobs. They were found in a box that belonged to my husbands late grandmother. They are two inches in diameter. We did not clean or polish them. 2 Vintage 1980's Brass Dresser Drawer Pulls Wardrobe Door Knobs Handles Polished
2 vintage brass drawer pulls in shiny brass. The markings on the back date them to 1988. They are 3 1/2" wide x 2 1/4" high and the screws are set 1 1/2" apart from center of the posts. The pulls are in good condition. There is some roughness on the surface but still have great shine. Please look over the photos for the best details. Thanks for looking!
