Beautiful Corbels and Posts Made of Walnut or Oak! Antique Hardwood! The Two Corbels measure 5 1/4" tall x 3 1/4" wide. 4 1/4" deep at the widest point. The acorn carved posts measure 17 1/4" tall. 3 1/4" wide, 3 1/4" deep at the widest point. One of the pieces has a 5 1/2" piece of wood missing, 1/2" x 1/2" deep. It doesn't affect the front of the piece. They are beautifully carved. They probably came off the front of an old fireplace. These have many different uses. As a shelf support, pillars, decorative.etc. Small scuff marks. A little wear but very minor! Some nail holes in the sides where they were probably attached to something. See photo's for condition! Pair Antique Cast Iron Figural Boy Or Young Man Person Shelf Brackets
This is a very cool looking pair of antique cast iron figural shelf brackets. They are either a boy or a young man. They most likely date from the late 19th century or very early turn-of-the-century. I don't see any company mark on them. Each of them has some old white paint on the side that attaches to the wall. They have surface rust(one more than the other) but this doesn't affect their strength. One of the people has a shiny liquid-looking substance on the back neck. I don't know what it is. So I'm not sure of how to get it off. One of them has a small section on the top edge where there's a little bit of missing cast iron. But this is definitely from the original casting and doesn't affect their sturdiness. Together they weigh 5 lbs. 15 oz. 2.7 kg)

Up for sale is one pair of Vintage Antique cast iron ornate Victorian shelf brackets. The only problems that I can see are explained in the Condition Description Section of this listing. These are well made and there are no cracks or imperfections in the casting that I can see. They have been wire brushed and sprayed with WD-40 but could use some more cleaning.
