This is a monumental architectural pediment- Circa 1870. The depth to the dado panels in this oldie are just a true testimony to the craftsmanship used to create this stunning example of Victorian architecture. This piece could be applied in either direction(with the gingerbread on the top- if hung on a wall- OR hanging down if used in an opening.perhaps with some corbels on each end) This piece is currently measuring 83" long. But because of the proportions- it could be cut down on either end for a smaller application. The portion that does not have the gingerbread embellishment is 11 1/2" high- then it becomes 15" high where the embellishment begins- and at the highest part- it measures 18" high. This piece is 3 1/4" thick. This would make a wonderful head board or a statement piece anywhere. The shelf at the top is trimmed in reel and bead molding. The breast has repeating festoons with flowers. It measures 63.5 inches by 8 inches and is 3.5 inches thick. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good scrubbing but will clean up nicely. The right side has return moldings. The left side does not. It has a chippy white paint over a wood stain. It measures 35" long x 4-1/4" tall at tallest point. As you can see in the last photo, there is a triangle shaped piece on the back that was used to mount it to the original piece. This could be pried off if you were wanting to wall mount it. They have an aged original white painted patina and finish and these are absolutely beautiful and very rare! This is some of the best dentil molding we have ever had due to the size. The deep roof overhang and the roof always being well maintained. These were removed from a residence built in 1855 and was the very first masonry residence ever built in Dekalb county. IL. There is a small piece of trim missing at the top left which you can see in the pictures, we may have a piece that can be used. Overall it is in good condition. Antique Brass Eagle with Scottish Thistle on Shield Plaque / Pediment RARE
This is a very interesting and unusual brass plaque/ pediment featuring the classic patriotic bald eagle with a banner in it's beak and holding a sheaf of arrows in it's talons. What sets it apart is the shield on the Eagle's chest which is emblazoned with a Scottish thistle and a stone of some kind. The plaque is substantial and heavy and free of damage other than patina on the brass which I'll leave for the new owner. Measuring approx. 7 inches by 8 inches. I handpainted it with a satin cottage white then distressed the edges for a great shabby patina. It's 18" wide and 5 1/2" tall. There are 2 holes for hanging. It's new and in excellent condition. It was originally part of the crown on a large buffet. It is finished to a warm walnut color. It is made out of solid walnut and walnut veneers. Beautiful Victorian Walnut Wood Pediment. Been hanging in my home for many years. Lovingly cared for and in great shape. Heavy craved wood crown topper. Small holes on bottom for attachment with small crack on bottom. last photo) Most likely the top header for a bed or dresser. Approximate Measurements: 17" Tall by 15" Wide with 7" Bottom Smoke and Pet Free Home. Please ask questions and review photos for condition and better description. Would look beautiful as statement pieces or over pictures/doors. Very heavy Pediment for it's size. Note: These pediments are very old and naturally will show age with scuffs and scratches. They are not perfect pieces but definitely wonderful works of lost craftsmanship.

This is crest has the late 19th century Aesthetic Movement look. It has the shell arch with small volutes. It has finely detailed shaped molding. It has a sweet button medallion onlay. It would make a fabulous overdoor decoration. It is 33.75" x 10.75" x 1.5" This item came from a furniture and design company that went out of business in the 1990's. Some pieces were removed from furniture that was in disrepair other pieces were left over stock from architectural design projects. This item should be shipped separately.
