Antique Gable Dentil Molding/ Pediment Very Large- C. 1855 Architectural Salvage. The dimensions are 40 1/4" wide overall and each individual piece is 6 1/8" deep x 7 1/4" tall. The blocks are 2 7/8" x 2 5/8" deep x 4 1/2" tall. This piece is very heavy. Made of solid fir and all blocks are complete and fully intact and there is no rot whatsoever. They have an aged original white painted patina and finish and these are absolutely beautiful and very rare! This is some of the best dentil molding we have ever had due to the size. The deep roof overhang and the roof always being well maintained. These were removed from a residence built in 1855 and was the very first masonry residence ever built in Dekalb county. IL. It has ornate carved designs applied to it on each end and a wreath design in the center. Vintage old brass wreath finial with a wood screw, pediment, embellishment
Offered for auction is this well constructed old brass finial or decorative piece. It is a brass wreath of leaves secured by a ribbon design with shiny brass highlights against a dulled brass. At the base is a wood screw to screw this into a piece of wood. I am not sure what this was originally from as it was an estate piece with no explanation. The back is flat. The wood screw could be replaced with a machined metal screw if you wanted to use this as a lamp finial. The inner diameter is 2 7/8” The outer diameter is 4 1/2. I call her Lady Liberty and she has been in my personal collection for 20 years. Fresh out of high school I went to work for the parks and rec department of Frederick County. My job one day was to clean out the bank barn and take misc. items to the land fill. This wonderful door topper org to the manor house of Rose Hill Manor was one of many items I was instructed to dispose of. I was informed by a coworker the door topper was removed from the manor house in a previous renovation. Covered in a thick layer of grime and missing some pieces I still could not bring myself to dispose of her. I brought her home( with my supervisors permission) and gave her a good cleaning. Under the grime I found this beautiful walnut masterpiece. I found a master craftsman to repair her and bring her back to life. Which I must say he did a wonderful job. Some ... morepieces were recreated, repaired and he added a shelf board to make it practical use for me. Shelf board can be easily removed and may have to be removed for safe shipping. This door Topper was originally installed in the inside main double door way of the manor home of Rose Hill Manor of Frederick County. Rose Hill Manor was built in 1790 for Governor Thomas Johnson's retirement home. Johnson was the first governor of Maryland and an associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. Wonderful matte finish with a few scratches. Pediment is perfect to hang over doors. Pictures, as statement piece or an enhancement to other furniture. Great condition for it's age but there are some minor imperfections. Crack on center block goes all the way through to the back so it wobbles a little side to side. This is a beautifully detailed antique style green antiqued cast iron pediment with a bird facing right. It is heavy-weighs about 6lbs pounds and measures 13" long by 8-1/4" tall and about 1/2" to 3/4" deep. It is in good condition with no broken pieces. I don't know if it is old or vintage. Up for your consideration are two beautiful looking vintage Brass Architectural pediment/ wall pieces. These nice looking pieces were part of the lobby from a Boston Building built in the 1920's that was renovated and was not longer needed. Building was in the neoclassical style. If your into vintage architectural pieces this is for you. Brass was big in the 20s and 30s for decorating a lobby in a building or use on the outside because of its cheap price. This week we have this gorgeous Antique/Vintage wall or Window panel. This piece is intricatly hand carved in a leaf and honeycomb motif. It is also hand painted. I am not sure what this originaly was from but there are three pieces of metal(brass. I believe) hardware fittings on the back three corners of the piece. I do not think it was a door but it could have been a fixed piece some how. It is a very heavy piece made out of solid hardwood. I think it may be teak or walnut. It is in excellent condition and measures 22" x 31" and is 3/4" thick. Superb Pierced Carved Wood Pediment Crest 28 inch
This fanciful carved wood pediment/crest is 28-3/4" x 7" x 1/2" It has a tasteful gray color wash finish. There is a small void near the bottom center where a wood knot was partially filled. This is another item consigned by a furniture and design company that went out of business in the 1990's. Some pieces were removed from furniture that was in disrepair other pieces were left over stock from architectural design projects.

It was originally the crown on a large buffet. It is finished to a warm dark walnut color. It is made out of solid walnut and walnut appliqués. There are a few chips on the corners and a crack in a thin place on the crest(see photos) There is a brace that has been attached to the back to give strength to the thin spot(see photo) Dimensions: 31.5" long. 10" high, 4" thick.
