Vintage Yale Door Knobs with plates -steel, copper and brass coated, hardware
This set works. I took it off an old door from my grandmother's house. I didn't strip the paint off of it but have left it in the condition I found it in. The pieces are steel(magnet sticks to them) but appear to have been coated with copper on the door knobs and brass on the plates. As you can see this was on a door that led to the outside as one knob shows more weathering then the other. Feel free to ask me any questions.

These are just removed off of a junk hoosier cabinet base that had a porcelain top dated 1911. This is four metal mushroom shaped knobs that are around 1" across and a front door latch and catch with a knob missing off the latch, but it still works without the football shaped knob. Each set includes 2 steel knobs, 2 stamped steel escutcheons, 1 steel mortise lock with 1 working key, 1 steel strike plate for the door jamb, and 1 spindle with 2 set screws to connect the knobs. Originally. All parts were copper plated, however only traces of copper remain. The amount of copper varies from part to part(see"Group photos" to compare) Please note that due to the lighting in our shop, the copper plating looks orange in the photos, but it's actually a pinkish-red ... morecolor to the naked eye. At the point of salvage all parts were covered under layers of paint. And were dirty and rusty(see last photo) Since then, we've removed the paint and cleaned all parts to the best of our ability. The knobs and escutcheons have a simple. Straightforward Arts& Crafts style design. You could tell that the hardware came from a well-maintained home because they are in great condition! The metal around one of the keyholes is slightly bent. But it looks worse in the photos than in person. Otherwise, there are the typical nicks and scratches that you would expect to find on old, used hardware, but no breaks, cracks, or gouges. Each lock was opened. Inspected, and we sprayed machine oil on and around all parts to facilitate their movement. The set consists of 2 bronze knobs, 1 bronze escutcheon, 1 bronze rosette, 1 bronze keyhole cover, 1 iron lock with bronze faceplate and 2 working keys, 1 brass strikeplate for the door jamb, and a spindle with 2 set screws to connect the knobs. It consists of 2 bronze knobs, 2 stamped bronze escutcheons, 1 steel mortise cylinder, 1 steel mortise lock with a bronze faceplate, 1 bronze strike plate, and 1 split spindle with a securing nut. One half of the spindle is unable to be removed from the knob. To reconnect the knobs requires to engage the threaded portions of the spindle and turn clockwise.
