THIS IS A DEPRESSION STYLED CLOCK MADE AFFORDABLE TO MANY BUT NOT MANY HAVE SURVIVED. THIS ONE HAS IT'S WAR SCARS. THERE'S A SPLIT IN THE WOOD BECAUSE SOMEONE PUT A NON FACTORY SCREW IN THE REAR PLATE. ALSO THE CLOCK MECHANISM INS'T OPERATIONAL. IF YOU LAY IT ON IT'S SIDE EVERYTHING WORKS FINE BUT IT WON'T WORK WHEN ALL PUT BACK TOGETHER. Maxim Mantel, Shelf Clock - Made in West Germany - Quartz Works also West German
I have up for auction a really nice(maybe vintage or on the edge) Mantel or Shelf Clock. It is a Maxim with a Quartz movement. Both the clock and the movement are made in West Germany. The clock is 5-1/4" high x 3-1/4" wide x 2-5/8 deep. There is a tad of tarnishing on the top and a few other spots. I am sure they will polish fine. Please look at all the pictures(7) and make them the main description. The clock works fine and has a new battery. The green velvet pads are on the feet so not scratch any surface you would put it on. I will start the bidding low and maybe you will get lucky and me not so lucky.

This ANSONIA 1914 mantel clock called the SEVRES is in excellent condition. It works and keeps time, gongs every half hour and the key is with it. This clock has an open face(no glass door) with the ANSONIA symbol on the clock dial and is an 8 day movement with no cracks, chips or anything. It can be seen in the TRAN DUY LY ANSONIA CLOCKS& WATCHES on page 292 and labeled#1073. The case is iron measuring 11 1/2 inches tall x 13 1/2 inches wide x 5 inches deep and weighs about 15 lbs. Linden Porcelain Mantel Alarm Clock Flying Duck Blue and White
This clock is a very lovely Linden Mantel Alarm Clock. Blue and white porcelain. A duck is on top with his wings surrounding the clock face. There is also gold trim on the duck and flowers and base of the clock. The clock works. It is a windup clock. There is one tiny chip on the base which had gone unnoticed until now. This is a Beautiful Benchmark Kroll Mantel Clock. It has a lovely White Tone face with a Two-Tone Dial black Numbers and out-lined in gold tone. The Hands are set in black. The weight is 2 lbs. 2 oz. On the top the Kroll gold tone emblem is set in nicely against the cherry wood finish. It has a very sold wooden frame. The back plate is a steel gold tone plate which is very lovely. The clock takes one AA battery and keeps perfect time. This is a very nice time piece. Which would look elegant in any office or home. The dimensions of the clock are 7 1/2 High and 5 1/2 wide. What we have here today is a very nice SETH THOMAS ACQUISITION ELECTROMAGNETIC mantle clock made in West Germany with KIENINGER& OBERGFELL Interior works. It has an award tag on the top dated for 1983 but. I do not know the exact date of the clock itself. It runs well with a C battery but, I have not tested it for accuracy or duration. Antique Gilbert 1807 Mantel Clock Camel Back 2 key wind works dark case
Antique Gilbert 1807 Camel Back Mantel clock. It is a 2 key wind type and comes with the original key. I wound it up and it does work. The chimes work and it ran for a couple of days on a partial wind. Made by Gilbert in Winston CONN, USA. It is 20 3/4" long, 4 1/4" deep, and 10" tall. The face bezel is 6 1/2" across. The face is in good condition, the glass and the door are also in good condition. The front of the case is has a gap as shown in the picture from the top. I believe that this could be fixed, but did not want to damage it. Otherwise it looks and works fine. There are some dates in pencil inside the door, 2-3-37 Sold and 12-12-55 dd, not sure what these dates mean, just interesting facts. I have described the items condition to the best of my knowledge. It has some varnish finish damage on the sides of the base and a dark spot on the top where a brass plate was removed but displays excellent. the rear slide in door is missing. the key is with it. This is a vintage Seth Thomas Dynaire wooden wind-up mantel clock in excellent to near mint condition. No chips or damage to the wood. And no chips, cracks, or scratches in the glass. Runs good and keeps good time. All the metal parts are clean and shiny with no corrosion or dents. The only issue I see is the glass is a little loose in the metal frame. c1955 Hermle Westminster Chime 8 Day Tambour Mantel Clock Note that I've been selling under"baysick" but am utilizing"brainmart" to take advantage of a seller incentive ebay offered me today. Yeah! Clock measures about 23 wide x 8 1/2 tall x 6 inches deep. Weighs nearly 7 lbs. Styling is distinctly 50's and the clock is 100% Original. Quality German key wind movement sounds the Westminster Chime every 15 minutes on 5 rods. The long chime rods on this clock produce a wonderful resonance. Movement labeled. FHS Germany. Movement utilizes a Floating Balance which provides the charm of a pendulum ticking. But is less sensitive to being moved around. Wood cabinet appears to be mohogany with an attractive grain that looks nicer than the photos represent. It has a beautiful high gloss piano finish in outstanding condition. ... moreThere is a scratch on top shown in a photo. I don't think it penetrates to the wood. But it is deep enough to be felt with a thumbnail. In most lighting conditions it is not seen. There is also a ding at back edge, and the dimple shown in another photo. A few paint nicks are on the white dial near the hinge. These are mostly obscured when the dial bezel is closed. There is tarnish to the brass bezel. Unlikely to find one better than this. The flaws are quite minor. Measures about 23 wide x 8 1/2 tall x 6 inches deep. The movement was restored/cleaned several years ago and the photo of the movement apart was taken at that time. It was also just given a"pro" tune-up oiling with movement out and mainsprings removed. It's running and chiming with good energy. A short video demonstrates the hour chime. This clock had its inner workings cleaned/restored several years ago and the photo of the movement apart was taken at that time. High standards call for full disassembly. And a multistage cleaning, rinsing and drying process. Restorative steps include renewal of pivot surfaces, bushings, and mainsprings serviced or replaced. Result is removal of abrasive grit, and
