These are Victorian Era glass pulls or knobs. The black are the only ones I've ever seen in my 40 years of collecting glass knobs. They include the brass inset that would go into your cabinet door or drawer. This is a bonus most time these are missing. Also included are two other clear glass pulls, one is missing a screw. The clear glass ones have a center of 3" for the screws and measure 3 3/4-4 1/4" wide and stands 1 1/4-1 1/2" high. The black ones 4" to 2 1/4" wide 1 3/8" to 1 1/2" high. This is a lot of 22(11 sets) rare vintage glass door knobs. Some of them have a slight variance in color. Patina, or design but are very close to matching. They show only minor wear consistent with their age(scuffs, etc. but have no chips or cracks and are tight in their housings. They are a beautiful classic design and come with all of their screws. Vintage Lot of Clear Glass Ceramic Porcelain Door Knobs Levers Brass Key Plates
800x600 This is a lot of vintage glass. Brass and ceramic door knobs, and brass plates. There are two sets(4 knobs) of 12 faceted clear glass knobs. The brass on them is fairly well tarnished. Glass is in excellent shape…I don’t see any chips or cracks in the knobs. Another set has an 8-faceted clear glass knob on one side with a brass lever on the other. Glass is in excellent shape. Brass on both ends is slightly tarnished. Another set has a brass knob on one side. With a brass lever on the other. Both brass ends are fairly tarnished; lever is less tarnished. Screw to hold lever on is missing. Another set looks to just be a steel knob on one side. With a steel lever on the other. Some rust is present. There is also a black ceramic/porcelain knob with a shaft. No knob on the other end. The shaft rotates in the center and the screw that holds ... morethe shaft to the knob is gone. The shaft also has a metal pin of some sort stuff through it which looks to have been bent and broken off of something else? Maybe the shaft doesn’t even go with this black knob? The back of the knob also seems to be separating from the ceramic part(see photos) There are scuffs on the black ceramic and a couple chips. There is also a separate white ceramic knob. No shaft. Has some scuffs and dirt on it. And some areas of old green paint, especially on the back side. There are also 5 tarnished brass key hole cover plates. Two have locking mechanisms to keep the door knob from turning. Another(the large one) also has a key hole in it. See all photos for item condition. Any questions. Please ask before bidding. ULTRA RARE 2 MATCHING PURPLE AMETHYST ANTIQUE VINTAGE OLD GLASS DOOR KNOBS 1 SET
This is a super rare lot of 2(1 set) antique glass purple door knobs. I have never seen another set like it. Usually you find them one at a time and if you do find a set, they do not have such similar colors and patina! They have a slight variance in color and patina but are the closest to matching that I have ever seen. They show only minor wear consistent with their age(scuffs, etc. one end has more scuffs and is a little foggier than the other. They are a beautiful classic design and come with all of their screws and a set of 2 matching backplates. This set is not like others you see on Ebay where the"purple" knobs are only lightly tinted, these are distinctly and genuinely purple. However, I thought were lovely so here they are for you! I don’t know the age of them but on the dresser I recall seeing dove-tailed drawers. The hardware includes 8 screws. 8 small washers and 2 large washers. I thought it was interesting to see that the holes are not center in the small washers. Which I imagine is another indicator of their age. Each knob weighs 2 ¾ oz. The glass knob measures 1 ¾” in diameter. The stem(that goes through the dresser) is ½” long. Please note* Of the 10 sets. 5 with shafts are stuck on the knobs on one side only. Five are not stuck at all. This should be OK, as the 5 that I cannot remove the shafts from are already set for use on the lock sets that will be used, then simply add the other knob. One( as pictured) has either a light colored brass, or is perhaps nickle steel. All the knobs, except 2, have the hard to find brass set screws. Two have allen type screws in them. There are 3 extra knobs, one is a larger& different type glass knob, that will need to be re-drilled& re-threaded. The 2 other extra ones have no screws. One does have damage with small cracking to glass at base. All door knob centers have octogon outline and could you could most likely get one decent set out of them, while the drawer pull knob has a design that looks like a flower/daisy. Pull has a couple very small chips to side, and one to center, pin head size. Brass at base all shows ware, scratches, and discoloring. 2 Shafts are intact, one has holes at each end other is solid with screw threads. 5 Backplates show ware, discoloring, and paint residue.
