Used fireplace surround that was in our family room. It is 2.5 years old and custom made. It has an opening that is 60" wide x 47.5" high so it will fit around most standard fireplaces. The mantle itself is 70" wide. There are still some nails in the back where it was originally attached to the wall. And there is one spot where the wood attaches to the wall that got pushed in a little bit by a screwdriver or pry bar when it was being removed from the wall and is hardly visible. Bought this 20 years ago from a Bridgeport. Ct Estate. We are moving and sadly this can not come with us. We have it in our bedroom and I put a fake fireplace in it with those cans you light to give it a real fireplace effect. We hang ou christmas stocking and have had many a display on the large mantel. The piece is 7ft high, approx 6'7" wide at its widest point which is the mantel- the opening is 3'5" high and 3'6" long. There are turned. Carved columns below. The breast has applied. Carved festoons. Great looking piece. It measures just over 54 inches wide by 48.75 inches tall and is 11.75 inches deep. Up for sale is an absolutely gorgeous pair of Victorian mantels from a building erected in the 1860's. There is not a doubt in my mind that you will never come across a pair like this again. These are made from quarter sawn red oak which appears to be old growth. The grain and fleck from the quartersawing on these will take your breath away. Columns are solid. With carved ionic capitals, and the corbels for the shelf contain hand carved leaf patterns. There are many different carved molding styles present, and they retain the original beveled mirrors. These are an exact matching set. For being 150 years old they are in great shape. But they do show some wear. These would be best stripped due to years of being Murphy Oil-d. Fine Antique 1800's Victorian White Marble Mantel Mantle Mansion Fireplace
Rare Victorian Marble Fireplace Mantle. This was removed from a Historic Home in Boston many years ago. Already disassembled and ready for pickup. I also have the marble inserts that go just behind the arch(these pieces would be used if you wanted a cast iron arched door like they use to have) Width of the shelf is approx 68 inches. Height from base to backsplash is 50 inches. the width from outer base to outer base is approx 52 inches, the largest opening of the arch is 34 inches. Total of 9 pieces of marble. It's from France and it dates to the late 1800's. It is made of solid oak and finished to a warm oak color. This piece would work very well as a fireplace mantel-just trim out the bottom and the top. There are many other possible uses as a shelf. Crown, pediment or window box valence. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of oak and is currently painted white. The shelf face has 5 applied carvings of fleur de lis. It is supported by partially flute columns with ornate capitals. It measures 60.25 wide. By 48.75 tall and is 10.25 inch thick. The firebox opening is 35.75 inches wide by 36.5 inches tall. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good scrubbing but will clean up nicely. One of the fleur de lis has a missing petal. The left leg is detached and needs to be put back on. The seam is visible on the shelf. Easy fix. Please look at the pictures carefully. The lower has a shelf supported by fluted corbels on top of ornate pilasters. The breast has built up moldings and round embellishments. It measures 48.25 inches wide. The upper is 34.5 inches tall and the lower is 46.5 tall for a total of 81 inches. The firebox opening is 30 wide by 30.25 tall. Overall it is in good condition.
