Up for auction is an amazing and beautiful fireplace mantel that I salvaged from a 100 year old home located in a Northshore suburb of Chicago that was razed around 10 year ago. We salvaged a number of items. With this being one of the pieces. We completed the restoration of our home built in 1927 and this was initially planned for the Master Bedroom. We opted for a stone mantel salvaged from a Cleveland A&C, as our ceiling height was an issue. I am listing at the lowest price I am willing to sell, so I am hoping to find a buyer who shares the same passion for reuse and restoration of craftsmen build pieces. I sold the faience tiles that were part of this mantel a few years ago, however companies like Motawi Tileworks sell wonderful replacements that would fit perfectly. But it is very close if not perfect) I've included a photo of most dimensions that will help you decide if this will fit. Man-121 Design We have made and sold over 4000 mantles over the last 15 years! The mantles shown are all hand made in the USA. Old World mantle design with a Tuscany feel. This mantle can be made larger or smaller(up to 80” wide and as narrow as 56” overall width) The leg height is adjustable to lower the inside opening. Or increase the overall height of the mantle. This particular mantle was designed lower for a TV to go above. It is made out of a proprietary high strength concrete stone mixture that is approximately 7000 psi(most materials in the industry are approximately 4000psi) We also use an extensive fiber reinforcement material in our stone mixture that makes for a VERY strong material. There is a center door with fixed panels to either side. All 3 have fretwork over glass. There are 3 simple corbels below the cabinet. Questions? Call or text 503 307 3889 any time. Description of item for sale: This nicely carved walnut salvage piece was originally part of a large Renaissance cabinet. It's from France and it dates to the late 1800's. It is made of solid walnut and oak finished to a nice warm color. This piece would work very well as a fireplace mantel-just trim out the bottom. There are many other possible uses as a shelf. Crown, pediment or window box valence. There are a few light scratches, a hand full of nail holes in the trim and a large crack in the trim(see photos) Dimensions: 33" long. 4" deep(front to back) and 5.5" high. 1993 Hallmark "BERRINGERS OF VICTORIA CIRCLE" MANTEL AND FIREPLACE--LIGHTS UP!!
This Hallmark toy/decoration was WONDERFUL in my DOLL HOUSE. It WORKS GREAT with a switch at the back that turns the flames on and off. The lighted flames than also flicker. REALLY CUTE especially during the HOLIDAYS. Condition is USED with the dated clearly stamped on the item. There are no chips. Cracks, or breaks. No repairs. I really enjoyed it.
