1890-1910 Painted Solid Eastlake Style Oak Book Case Cabinet with 2 Drawers
This Eastlake style bookcase once wore 2 glass doors in the front- now it has three open shelves. Old red paint with green bronze corner medallions and trim, and replaced hardware. Two of the 3 shelves are adjustable and are painted red. The base shelf and top and back of the bookcase were not painted and show the original oak. The hardware is old brass and compliments the trim color. Some stains and spots here and there add to the warm charm of this cabinet. We found this beauty in the basement of an old brownstone. Antique Eastlake Carved Walnut Coat Rack Wall Hanger Repurpose
This is a large beautiful piece of antique Eastlake carved walnut. It measures 32 1/4" across at the widest point and 16" tall. I do not know what this was originally used for. It does have 2 screws with eyes to string a cord or wire between so it can be hung. It does not have any holes left from coat hooks being used on it but they could easily be added so it could be used for a hanging coat rack. The front is in what I consider to be very nice condition considering its age, it would look a little better with a coat of new finish. The back does show age and someone added metal brackets with screws to hold it together. This beautiful old piece would look great displayed in any room in the house. It is not from a pet/smoke free home and I have not cleaned/polished any of it. We have a small love seat sofa for sale. Dated back to the 1800’s Victoria Era. This small sofa will fit in an apartment or a small cove of your home. It is 38” tall X 56” wide X approx 24” deep. There is no apparent damage that I can see. There is normal wear. I don’t think it has ever been reupholstered It is an olive greenish velvet. With swirls in it and it is tufted. The wood appears to be walnut and burl walnut. I believe it was made by the Charles Eastlake Company sometime in the late 1800’s. I don’t know the value of this sofa, so I am only starting this auction at $100.00. Illinois buyers have sales tax. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique library or console table. This is a stunning,old table and dates to the 19th century. The table features ornate and intricate Eastlake and Gothic details. It is angular(triangular) and features carved wood, floral appliques on each corner of the table top. The top is skirted with unique, curved crosses" which have been hand incised. There are lower, carved, keyhole corner supports which rest under the skirt at the legged sections. The table also features small, turned wood spindles which attach to turned wood, upper stretcher supports. The legs are carved and flared and are flat as opposed to the more traditional, rounded legs. They, too, are hand incised and feature delicate scrolled designs. There are 3"inner legs" of turned wood. These do not extend to the floor and have spooled ... morefinials at their ends. A carved and incised, bottom stretcher support is attached at each leg. This is a very unique and striking table. It is gold gilded(gold leaf) over red and the red color does appear throughout. The table appears to be oak and it is sturdy and heavy. It is in good, antique condition. It does have evidence of age and use. The table top does have water rings and surface scratches that penetrate the gilded finish. There are some missing pieces to the corner appliques on the table top. These do not distract from the beauty of this table but, rather, enhance its antiquity and character. I could find no maker's mark on the set. But the backs of the keyhole plates and main plates are stamped with the number 861. They have a traditional Victorian era Eastlake style pattern with a bronze wash. The pulls measure approximately 4" tall by 2" wide. The set is in very good condition with nice patina. And most of the original wash intact. There is some light surface rust which can easily be wire brushed off. Antique Victorian/ Eastlake/Adirondack hanging box
This is an Eastlake hanging box. The first picture shows it hanging on a wall. The rest of the pictures show it flat on a table. It is in wonderful condition. It measures 15" from the top point of the leaf to the bottom and the width is 10 1/4" at its widest point. I do not know who the maker is nor the wood type- I think it is walnut. There are 3#s on the back: 138.
