Antique Bronze Window Sash Locks Latches Unusual Cast Eastlake? Lot of 2 Each
THIS AUCTION IS FOR A Pair of USED Unusual Antique Bronze Window Sash Locks Latches These latches were obtained at a local estate sale and I do not the history of this item. The people I obtained these heavy latches from explained to me that they believe that they were window latches removed from the old Connecticut State House that had been demolished some time ago. Their father owned a construction company that was hired back in the day to be part of the demolition. Unfortunately. The farther is not with us to say for sure so I can't be certain. I understand that in most cases it is best to leave old hardware in it's found state but unfortunately I had to clean them. They were extremely dirty and had a lot of paint on them that was hardened to the surface. You would never be able to see the detail unless this was done. Once I brushed ... morethem of with a a wire brush. All the latches were treated with Rust-Oleum Aircraft Remover. Then I had rinse them wire brush them again. After I got most of the finish and paint off. I put the latches in a salt and vinegar solution to brighten them up and of course, I brushed them with a copper brush. They are not 100% clean but the bulk of the cleaning is done. They are stripped down pretty well overall. As I stated. They were taken off a structure previously so they are not in mint condition. You can see some bending on the metal tabs and other imperfections such as scratches and nicks. The latches were definitely made from cast. The color of the latches vary. Some appear to have more copper tint than brass. The weight of one latch base is appx. 5.3 oz and the top portion is appx. 2 oz. Top portion is appx. 3" across 3/4" in height. 3/4" in depth. 2 mounting holes. The bottom portion is appx. 3 1/16" across at the widest point and appx. 1 1/2" in height( not including the latch mechanism. 4 mounting holes. I tried to do some research on these latches but I could not fine out much or find any design like them. There are no markings. The latch that

Here's an antique pair of ornate Victorian bronze door hinges with an embossed Eastlake like design on the fronts. The backs also have a little of that design as well. Both are marked with"Patent Nov. 2 1869" along with"4 1/2" They each measure 10 1/4" in length from the tip to tip of the center post. The hinge portion is 5 5/8" x 6. They are in their original condition as you can see the aged patina. They weigh a little over 4 lbs. Both top tips are slightly bent. Overall. They are in super nice condition!

If at all, may just be ornamental. i thought maybe it originally was suppose to have leather straps instead of fabric for knife sharpening but thats just a stab in the dark as i really have no clue.if anyone can tell me what this is i would love to know cause i have wondered this for many upon many years. has gorgeous nice carvings on the front. i am also not sure what kind of wood this is but it is nice and hard and in amazing condition. i see no damage or issues what so ever aside from a tad bit of wear or moth bites ... moreto the fabric from being so amazingly old, it is not falling or crumbling apart at all. it is delicate but fabric still retains id say 70 to 80 percent of its constitution and 99 percent of its fabric. wood has no holes, dings, scratches, cracks, hairlines, nothing. it is in tip top shape. This is a nice vintage King Silver Flair trumpet with original case. It was made in Eastlake Ohio. The serial number is 468314 which. According to the website I checked, dates it to the early 1970's. It is in very good condition with normal scratches. Nicks and wear but overall nice and attractive. Silver finish is pretty much all intact. There are some small pings/dents but nothing major. It looks like some dents were possibly removed from the bell where it starts to taper down. Again overall it's in good shape, just want to be accurate. I see no broken solders or repairs. Slides are all free and valves move smooth and freely. This trumpet is straight from an estate. I'm not a player or expert, although I have bought and sold many trumpets over the years. 1870 RARE Pair AESTHETIC EASTLAKE LEMON Gilded VICTORIAN Deepwell CABINET Frames
This is a fantastic. Rare pair of c1870 Victorian Aesthetic Eastlake gilded deepwell frames. I rarely come across these individually. Much less a pair.and they are in all original condition with the hand painted tombstone mats, wavy glass and shingle backboards. Beautiful gilded deepwell frames with two stenciled scoops and a stepdown lemon site liner. Frames are in excellent condition with some minor wear and amazingly no gesso losses. One mat does have some light water stains at the very top edge. These were made typically to hold cabinet cards and the viewing area is about 3 3/4 x 5 1/4. Overall, frames measure 13 1/4 x 15 1/4 with an 8 x 10 1/8 rabbet and are 3" deep. Mitered corners, ebonized sides and multilayer square nail construction. A very nice three-drawer 1880-1885 Eastlake chest with a beautiful pink and gray marble top. Which can be lifted off for moving. Note the interesting cove-and-pin construction of the drawers. All drawers will lock. But there is no key. It takes a barrel key, and have found that keys of friends will easily work the locks. Spoon-carved type of decorations along side each end of the top drawer. Note the construction details and condition in the photos. Size: 44"l. x 22"w. x 30"h. Chest has not been refinished and the marble top has not been polished(probably not ever) Though it would enhance the piece to have it polished. Due to its age, there has been some shrinkage of the wood, which is normal. This piece is a perfect size for storing rolls of gift wrap. This is an authentic antique Victorian Eastlake industrial/ machine age brass or bronze towel bar rack. It dates circa 1880s. During the Eastlake era. It measures 21 1/2 inches wide(54.6 cm) It protrudes 3 inches from the wall(7.6 cm) The backplate of the holders are 3 3/4 inches high and 1 1/4 inches wide(9.5 cm. 3.2 cm) It has great Eastlake design on it. The finials on the ends of the rod are very cool looking. The two pieces holding the rod can be moved to any part of the rod. But work best at the ends. The rod is probably nickel plated brass. With the brass showing through around the ends. It also has scratches and wear to it, but this just adds to its great look. One of the rod holders is darker than the other. This M. Schulz Co. Eastlake pump organ has stunning eastlake-style ball and spindle. Carved decor, square carved bull eyes, turned solid walnut spindles, heavy carvings on side and front panels, and nice detail wood work/inserts. 2 gallery candle holders, one on each side. A gallery shelf 7 inches deep by 21 inches wide under the mirror. A really nice walnut antique in its original finish. A few dings for age, none of them consequential or which detract. This antique is in working condition. 8 out of 11 pulls work, bellows work, has a robust sound, and is an awesome and stately piece. This unit also has a keyboard cover that has spoon carving. It also has a spoon carved sheet music holder that is hinged and which lifts up to hide trinkets or music. The organ stands approx. 83"H x 56"W x 23"D. This is a two-piece unit with the ... moreshelving as one piece and the bottom organ as a separate piece. It is easily transportable by truck or SUV. Two people can move and lift. We have owned this for 25 years and the reeds were restored by the antique dealer. After 25 years, it could probably use a tune-up if you wish to play it all the time. The 8 stops that play are the 4 to the left and the 4 to the right. The middle three stops pull out but do not make sound now. My mother used to play it when she visited but she passed away in 2000. We are downsizing and need to find this a new home. We can deliver this in our pick-up truck within a 2 hour radius for $50 gas money.
