Up for bidding is a wonderful example of an Arts& Crafts match holder or maybe even Eastlake. In copper or bronze finish, looks dark copper but I wouldn't polish since it has a great look to it. measures about 4" tall and 2 3/4" dia at bottom. Holds large box of matches like Ohio Blue Tip pocket size. classic Arts& Crafts design on base and upper holder embossed lines across the metal. The tiniest of dent in the knob-like structure under there, remnants of white paint in the recessed design at bottom, the actual bottom has faint surface rust and paint peeling but very solid easy to clean, faint green as seen on copper around the block where the matches go, yet almost nothing. Description. This is a GREAT New England estate find Found in a large Victorian homes bathroom here in CT. This is a beautiful piece. Made of Walnut with Marble tops. As you can see in pics it has Candle holders and amazingly decorated wood details. There is even a hidden drawer on the bottom. We believe this to be from the early 1900's or earlier. Only flaw is a piece of trim on the right side by mirror is missing but this does in no way take away from this Victorian beauty. Can only offer Local pick up. You are bidding on a one of a kind Antique 1800's Pastel Painting in a Matching 1800's Eastlake Style Frame. This is a beautiful piece of our history. And it could be all yours. I don't think you will find another one! A pastel style painting of a young boy in a matching frame. The shades of blue and black on both the painting and frame match perfectly, and they were obviously made together, and more than likely by the same artist. This must of been a pretty well off family back in the early days of America to hire such a portrait to be made of their son. I believe the painting to be in the"Pastel" category, because it looks more like a stenciled sketch with chalk(research pastel art) than an actual oil type painting. I also believe the style to be either Impressionism or Realism, both an early style of art dating to ... morearound the 1700- Mid 1800's. Both the Painting and Frame are not signed by any artist. There is not doubt about their age. And authenticity as you can clearly see by the pictures above, and below: The painting and frame are both very old. And very original. The Frame is believed to be an Eastlake Victorian Style with hand sculpted Gesso. The painting is on a thick, rough feeling piece of board type material and is beautifully detailed. It's a sketch style with color added- almost has a chalk/penciled style to it. The Pastel Shade of Blues and Blacks in the Painting match the Colors of the Frame Perfectly. The Frame is 32" x 28" The Painting is 20"x 16" Both the Painting and Frame have damage in spots do to their age. Antique Mexico Carved Wood Candleholder Set - Eastlake Style
Pair of antique wood carved and turned spindle candle holders. We picked these up at an estate sale this summer. The woman(in her 60's) said they belonged to her grandmother. But she wasn't sure where they came from. We were attracted to their Eastlake style design. My research indicates they are antique(possibly late 1800's) Mexican folk art candle holders. These solid candelabras have a nice patina, and there are some old wax drippings in places, but could easily be cleaned off. Bottom side has old red felt covering. Brass tack details. A stunning addition to your mantle or dining room table!

Up for auction is this very. Very nice pair of dresser or clothes brushes. Purchased from a very high end estate sale in Northern New York, this set is of high quality. The Silver B, seller is not certain of silver content, as they are not marked, however, is very decorative and ornate. Seller estimates possible 1880's as the date based on the accompanying items. Ebony black back.one is scratched on the side(please see picture) otherwise these are in fine shape. Black shoe polish should work to correct. The measuring stick determines the length and width. OUTSTANDING! ANTIQUE EASTLAKE FRONT ENTRY DOOR BEVELED GLASS PANES WOOD HARDWARE
This is such a gorgeous door. I hate to let it go. I found it in Missouri about 8 years ago after my house burned down. I intended for it to be my new front door, but as I rebuilt the house, my design changed from a slightly Victorian/Farm look to more a Craftsman/Lodge style. No longer did its beauty compliment the style of the emerging home. I often thought I would find a use for it, but so far it's sat upright against a wall in my garage. Time to pass it along. First of all. It's truly stunning with mortise and tenon joinery. It has a beautiful honey color and has worn unusually well for it's age. There are a few divets and scratches, but nothing major or unsightly.only added character. A previous owner has used a brown putty on a few of them, and to be honest, I didn't notice them until taking the pictures to post here. ... moreThe one imperfection that I had taken notice of when I bought it was a crack in one of the glass panes. It's in the corner and measures approximately 1 1/2" It does not appear to compromise the integrity of the glass pane at all and is not distracting to the eye. All the glass panes have a lovely beveled edge and add charm to an already enchanting door. The bottom front panels have the usual trademark Eastlake designs and also the wonderfully decorative Eastlake hardware including the front and back plate and the inner locking/latch piece. There is no knob. I have no idea, if once complete that the internal hardware will operate properly or not. Although, you shouldn't have much of a problem finding something else, including knobs.they are all over E-bay! I do have cast iron Eastlake style hinges(a set of three) that I will include. The hinge side of the door has several holes where previous hinges had attached. These can be filled and when I place the hinges up to them there are several holes that hit virgin wood and should grab nicely. This pair is unmarked and measure 15 1/2” by 17 1/2” They are not coated and have a nice oxidation. Should clean up nicely. Weigh nearly 10 pounds. Condition: These brackets are in good condition with no breaks or repairs. The surface has a“weathered” patina and the design is not as crisp as it was when it was new. There is rust on some areas. Uncommon antique Eastlake drop leaf table in the Pembroke style. This piece has a gently curved table top with molded edges and squared corners. Each side of the table has its own drawer with an ornate brass bail handle pull. An applied fret-carved design accents the area under each drawer and is mirrored in the carved brackets below. The legs are braced by X-shaped stretchers with a simple pierced decoration. When extended. The hinged drop leaves are supported by slide out wooden pieces. This beautiful table is made from a fine-grained wood- most likely walnut- and has a medium dark finish a wonderful aged patina. The table is in good antique condition. However there is wear consistent with age and use. The top of the table shows signs of wear to the finish, and there is some separation to boards along the edges. Please see pictures. I only ship internationally using eBay Global Shipping! This pair of oval door knobs is in good condition. One has a slight indent in the middle. But it is barely noticeable. The side without the screw(right in the pic) does move, so it is not rusted to the stem. The screw side does not move, but I did not try to loosen the screw. The metal appears to be iron, and it is magnetic, but I can't be certain. The knobs measure 2-5/8" x 1-5/8" The assembly measures just over 5-3/4" end to end, with a shank length of 1-7/8" between the knobs, and a 1/4" diameter. Please email for more pics or information. Pair of Antique Ornate Victorian Shelf Brackets, Cast iron, 9x7 in, old Eastlake
This is a lovely pair of old Victorian shelf brackets. These antique shelf brackets are made of cast iron. These were cast in an ornate pattern with stylized flowers and repeating geometric shapes. They are each 8 3/4 inches by 6 7/8 inches by 7/8 inch at the corners. Each bracket has 6 mounting holes. At some point the shelf bracket were painted white. Some of the white paint has worn off at the edges. And there is more white paint on one side than on the other. This is a terrific pair that will look great whether you leave them as they are, repaint them, or strip and wax them.

Penn Antique Restoration. 12" Antique Victorian Cast Iron Door Flushbolt w/Bronze Knob. Charming. Antique, internal, slide bolt made by, Sargent& Co. of New Haven, CT during the 1880's. We included a photo of the page in Sargent's 1880 catalog showing this flushbolt. The plate and rod/bolt are solid. Heavy, thick, cast iron, and the knob is cast bronze. If you are not familiar with this type of hardware. I t's the locking mechanism installed on one of the doors in a pair of double doors. For the purpose of keeping one door stationary, while allowing the other to swing freely(see last photos for a visual) The plate has a lovely. Aesthetic(Eastlake) style design. Originally. The raised portions of the design were bronze-plated, and the recessed portions were painted with a black, enamel paint. Unfortunately, only traces ... moreof plating remain, but most of the black paint is intact. At the point of salvage. The lock was dirty and rusty(see photo under"Prior to restoration" Since then, we've cleaned and polished the plate and knob to the best of our ability. Also. Since we've cleaned and greased it, its bolt slides up and down much more smoothly. It's in great condition with only tiny nicks and subtle scratches. Which are typical for hardware this old. However, there are no breaks, gouges, dents, or cracks. The spring behind the knob is strong, and won't allow gravity or a bump to retract the bolt once it's extended. Considering that this piece is about 130 years old. In such fine condition, this is truly a rare opportunity! Large victorian bed. I believe it is a Double. That has about 8 pieces. The two side pieces slide in but it seems to have had another little piece on each side. The top is all carved and this has another top piece that goes along with it, carved also may for a mirror or other bedroom piece. Not sure of the wood, but darker in color. Stands about 9 ft tall.
