Fine Eastlake Victorian Chestnut & Walnut Drop Center Dresser
Up for auction is a Victorian drop center dresser. It is special in that it is made of American Chestnut. A species that was wiped out by chestnut blight- very few mature specimens exist today. The dresser is in good condition, with the exception of a small repair(pictured) and some dings from someone's overzealous hammer use. The original beveled mirror is in good shape with some streaking as expected for a 130+year old mirror. The dresser would be a great accent piece, or could be converted to a sink basin. amazing large hallway foyer antique mirror 1880's Eastlake Victorian wood oak
This auction is for the best mirror I have ever came across. When I first saw it I thought it was a later reproduction as the front was in such nice shape. But then I turned it around and could not believe my eyes, the patina, the age, and then a decal that reads a patent date of 1880's. It is a large mirror. It measures approx. 48 1/4 inches tall 27 1/4 inches wide and would come off the wall 4 3/4 inches. All measurements to furthest points. Would look great in a hallway or foyer. The decal reads This Backboard patent applied for 1880, pat applied for 1883, pat applied for 1883 Deuther MFG. I would say it is in the Eastlake style. What I am still a bit confused by is when the front had it finish put on it. The front does have a stain that was put on it that was painted on with several different wood tones to give it a certain look. ... moreWhoever did that finish did a high end professional job. The front frame has no marks blemishes at all, it is in mint condition. The mirror has a couple of small streaks from age. Hard to see and only from a couple of angles, that means a little of the silver on the back has been lost, very little and like I said only in a couple of angles and it is faint. Oak Eastlake Spoon Carved Dresser with beveled mirror
For your consideration is this beautiful oak Eastlake style dresser. With intricate spoon carving throughout. It's three drawers have the original pressed brass handles. Overall condition is good, although it is an antique and so the occasional scratch or ding should be expected. The grain on this piece is incredibly tight and bespeaks true old growth lumber construction. The drawers are dove-tailed, although it should be noted that the middle drawer has had the sides and bottom replaced. Please note that the streaks in the beveled mirror are the result of my failed Windex job, not an imperfection in the mirror. The mirror itself is near perfect, with only small spots of very faint clouding in the upper corners(I had actually never noticed them until careful inspection in preparation for selling) Dimensions are as follows: 17.5 inches ... moredeep. 41 inches wide, base is 31.5 inches tall, mirror adds an additional 40 inches(overall height 6ft. This was one of my first antique purchases. And we have since moved towards a walnut Renaissance Revival style, so it was time to find this piece a home where it won't be such a misfit. On offer is an estate Victorian Eastlake parlor settee or love seat with textured and tufted blue velvet upholstery. Backrest is separated by a floral carved panel. Crest has a beautiful leaf carving and is topped with a scalloped crown. In general this piece is typical of the more restrained Eastlake style. It is probably golden oak with bird's eye maple inclusion. Casters may or may not be original to the piece. However consider as an individual company still, the Wilcox Silver Plate Co. continued to use its identity and marked its products with their own touch mark along with the standard International one until 1961. Traditionally. Furniture makers imitated architectural forms, but Eastlake reversed this process. Eastlake houses had architectural ornamentation that had copied the furniture inside the house. Eastlake promotes a peculiar kind of furniture and interior ... moredecoration that was angular. I was lucky enough to find this right here on Cape Cod in Massachusetts where there are wonderful estate sales. Exceptional quality is what Bradley& Hubbard is known for and this particular lamp is no exception. Made of cast-metal painted a deep bronze/brass color. Measures 50" tall. As shown. Ornate font holder with flowers and ribbons and cameos all around. The table top has a border that includes cherub heads. The lamp is signed in at least two places. Condition: Not sure if all or part of the font itself is original to the lamp. It does hold kerosene/oil, but will need a wick. I will leave it to the buyer to find the perfect shade to match their own personal decor, as the right shade ... moreis integral to the beauty of these lamps. It will need a shade with a 4" fitter. Exquisite Eastlake Victorian rocking chair. I have never seen one quite like this one. Very unique in it's carving as well as it's upholstery. Has a small tear in the upholstery I tried to highlight in the photos as well as a minor stain. I've never tried to clean it off so it may not be permanent for all I know. There's beautiful roses carved in at the top near the head rest as well as some other flower detail near the base. This is a spring back rocking chair and it still works GREAT. Here is a wonderful old Gas EASTLAKE Era. I would imagine about 130 years old, wall light in excellent condition. This impressive old gas wall fixture, with shade fitted, is 21" fully extended. This length can be reduced by using the adjusting joint near the end of the arm. All the metal on this light is brass an it retains its original untouched patina/finish. The appearance is truly enhanced by some fantastic details. There is the colorful LONGWY POTTERY insert which is complimented by the spectacular. Embossed EASTLAKE Motif, cast brass arm attachment. This piece is secured to both the vertical column and horizontal arm with original ball-shaped brass cap nuts. Even the old 4" shade fitter has a delicately scalloped border. Victorian Door Handle Set with White Porcelain Handles & Eastlake Brass Plates
This lot contains multiple component parts that go together to make a rather attractive door handle set for your Victorian house restoration. Listen up and I'll go through them item by item and picture by picture. First. The three brass plates or escutcheons shown front and back in the first two pictures are from different sets. The rectangular Eastlake plate is about 1½" x 5½" with two screw holes, and the center of the handle hole spaced about 2" from the top of the keyhole. For the other side of the door we are offering a circular handle escutcheon or rosette, and a separate and newer looking plain brass oval key hole escutcheon. In the third picture is the lock. With correspondingly spaced keyhole and handle hole, and a brass keeper plate for recessed mounting on the edge of the door. It is about 3" x ... more3½" and about ½" thick. We don't have a key for it. And in the fourth picture are two white porcelain or milk glass handles. With a square spindle that fits the handle hole in the lock. Vintage Wood Screen Door w/ orig Eastlake-style handle + raised moulding!
Hi! So you might be looking at this ad because you've got a vintage house or a weakness for vintage house parts and you know you can't buy some crappy new screen door. This is the door for you! It's 36" wide x 85" tall x 1.25" thick and there are four panels with raised moulding for screens on the door- the top one is 29" wide x 40.5" tall. The middle is 29" wide x 8" tall, and there are two bottom panels that are 20" tall x 14" wide- all panels will need to be re-screened. There seems to be an original Eastlake era handle(late 1800s) as well as 3 spring hinges which may or may not be original. The door has a black painted finish and has great moulding detail around all the screen openings. This would be very easy to repaint or you might even want to strip it to the natural wood. Set/6 Beautiful Vintage Antique Eastlake Russell & Erwin Bin Pulls Cup Pulls
This auction is for a set of six Eastlake-style bin pulls. In very good condition. I believe they were made in the late 1800's by a company by the name of Russell& Erwin. They have the number 8025 molded into the back of each one but no maker's mark or trademark. I have read that this manufacturer put their trademark on only a few of their items. The design on top is a pair of scrolled motifs with a border of small arches all around. On the sides, a border of stylized tulips. They measure 4" between hole centers, 4.625" between outermost points, 1.625" wide, and.125" thick at the rim. They are cast iron with a subtle bronze wash, and I'm certain that they all have the original patina.

This is a Gorgeous late 19th(1870) Century Victorian Eastlake Era Wall Hanging Candle box/Vanity Shaving Mirror. That would have been used near the Old Wash Stand to help the Ladies apply their Make-Up and help the men Keep their Whiskers in Order. It would have often contained a small candle holder and a few candles as well as shaving supplies in the flip top drawer. This old Piece is Structurally sound despite the two splits in the wood at the front of the compartment. personally I think it adds more character to the piece. Showing off its age.
